Astoria Hot Springs and Park

Amazing I loved it so much. I wish we could have stayed longer but they only allow 1 hr 45 mins per session so get there on time. The views were incredible. The water temps were definitely not accurate as I could tell since I own a hot tub. They said the temps in some of the pools were 103 but they were not that hot. It was a bit crowded. I didn’t like how they allowed talking in the quiet pools so that was annoying.

Absolutely loved this experience! It was affordable, easy to book, and offered incredible mountain views. The staff was so kind and helpful, making the whole visit even better. Such a unique and memorable activity — I only wish the sessions were longer because I could’ve stayed for hours!

My husband and I stumbled across Astoria on our way to Jackson Hole. The next morning be decided to book last minute and stop in our way home. It was easy to book, we chose the 0900-1045 session. The perfect amount of time! I love that there’s a limit on how many people can enter. The cold plunge was a nice addition. I love the flowing steam and greenery and how it makes the pools feel private. Showers and toilets were clean. Staff were very friendly! We rented towels for $5 each, as we weren’t expecting to stop. A coffee bar would really take this place to the next level. Can’t wait to return.

Astoria is a natural sulfur thermal spring that flows into man made pools. There are 2 in the "quiet" area. One close to the cold plunge. The largest pool is chlorinated. There are cubby holes close to the pools to store your clothing. Bring your own towels. No glass, alcohol or food is allowed by the pools. You must reserve your time, which is for 2 hours. You also need to sign a waiver prior to visit, which is available online. The staff are friendly, and helpful. I loved my visit, and felt wonderful for a couple of days afterwards.

It is a beautiful place, nice to go with your partner or with friends, but not for kids. The attention was amazing! You can rent towels there for $5 EA but they are very cheaply made, I recommend taking yours. The showers have soap but not shampoo, so bring everything you need! Besides that the views are beau and the place is all clean! I love the idea of having just 80 spots every 2 hours so it is not full.

We visited from California & let me tell you that this was an amazing experience. The booking was so simple. The staff was amazing. They were friendly, not nitpicking like many other establishments. I would suggest if you visit Jackson Hole, Wyoming - this is a must!

July 7, 2025: Came for the 9am (2hr session), 2 adults and 2 kiddos (8 and 11). Lovely place, great to relax after driving from Medicine Bow/Laramie area. Would have rated a 5 star if the sessions were 3 hrs....4 hrs would be IDEAL. I felt rushed with the 2hr window...would have loved to have a 2nd or 3rd beverage and really relax. We've been to mineral springs throughout the western states and west Canada...3 to 4 hrs seems to be our limit. Otherwise...lovely, clean, manicured lawn and gardens. Ohhhhh...THANK YOU for A. Having a kids pool. B. Allowing kids to get in any pool with adult supervision. Beverages for adults and kiddos yes Food none

Best hot springs we’ve ever visited. We went on the 9-11am session and it was great! They have a quiet area with two pools and also other pools that are kid-friendly if you’re planning to go with your family. They also have a cold plunge. Everything was clean and we loved that you can truly feel connected with nature here.

This Hot Springs is a must-visit if you are in the vicinity of Jackson or Star Valley. Excellent facilities, with changing rooms and showers, also a snack bar if you feel faint. The springs are well managed and very busy on Sunday mornings with families. The employees are very friendly and helpful. A great way to appreciate the thermal power of these mountains and the river at any time of year.

Great selection of pools, facilities are clean, prices are fair if you spend the whole time there.

This is a great find you can watch bald eagles blow by as you soak in a natural waters of a hot spring. These are actual pools. It's very clean and there's even a cold plunge. If you want you'll see the water running right off of the mountain and then back into the snake river. If you wanna get funky across the river, you can pull off the road hike down and to the hippie dip, locals of dug out holes in the river where you can sit in 100° water as the eagle glide by in the icy river rages with temperatures below zero enjoy

Astoria Hot Springs is located about 10 minutes from the Snake River RV park and Cabins, which was my jumping off point for my visit to Jackson Hole and the Tetons. You can make advance reservations but walk ins are welcome. My friend and I went after a rainy afternoon cleared out but the air was still nice and chilly-perfect for warming up in hot spring soak. Checking in was easy and there are both male and female locker rooms for changing along with clean restrooms. You can arrive anywhere within your 2 hour window (they have several windows each day) but need to be out by the end of it. Our window was 6-8 pm and we arrived around 6:20 and stayed about 90 minutes. It was a pretty chill atmosphere as there are several pools spread out and during a weekday, a mellow crowd. I went in the pools that were 100+ degrees and felt very relaxed and rejuvenated. There is that sulfur smell (not overwhelming but there) but afterwards my skin felt so soft. I slept well that night! They do rent towels for $10 each but they are rather small. Bring your own if you can. Nice mountain backdrop but you do get some roadway noise. Still, we wanted to go back a second time but it didn't work out. First time experiencing hot springs and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Four pools, each different in their own special ways with varying temperatures. I love starting in the big pool which is the least hot, and has room to swim. The third pool with a stream of water pouring down like a waterfall is great for a shoulder/back massage. I can fall asleep in the Adirondack chairs and the lounge chairs on the deck with a view of the Snake River is a favorite of mine . So peaceful. The cold plunge is a nice addition cause I get too hot! Lose yourself

Slow day at work, guess I'll just be reviewing all the places we visited on our Jackson-Yellowstone honeymoon from back in the fall. Astoria Springs was our first stop the morning after we got into Jackson Hole. This was one of the places that was on our list and man, we were not disappointed! The drive down from Jackson was AMAZING, I recommend taking one of the side roads along the river to make your way down, the scenery was fantastic. As for the springs themselves, it's not very expensive, and we went earlier in the morning to avoid the crowds. There is a locker room to change into before hitting the springs, and there are multiple pools to relax in. It definitely has that "hot springs" smell, so don't go in thinking you're getting into a hot tub or pool, just FYI. But it's an amazing place to relax, especially to unwind after a flight. You'll probably want to spend 60-90 minutes here, soaking in the hot water and terrific views. A top notch first impression of Wyoming, if it's your first time visiting.

This place is surreal. The hot springs are nestled between the mountains and it's far away from traffic noise. A great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. I was thinking it was going to be pricier than it was too, but the rate is not bad at all. You have a two hour window to stay, we only stayed for an hour. The pools have different temperatures and we went for the hottest one! They have a full shower area for you to rinse off after (you're going to want to bring a change of clothes because there's a lot of slippery moss in the pools). They also serve adult beverages onsite.

When we got to the park, I made a joke about the hot springs being the fountain of youth. After waking up this morning completely pain free, I wasn't too far off! Seriously, I feel amazing! At our allotted reservation time, we gathered with a group in the parking lot where we checked in and got a very brief overview of the springs. We were then ushered into the building. We changed into our suits and began our two hours of relaxation. There are 4 pools - a larger pool up top, 2 smaller pools down a gravel path and a cooler children's pool. They are also building a cold plunge pool but it's far from completion. The pools are around 101 to 103 degrees which was perfect on this early autumn day. The pools have built in ledges for seating and each has stairs and a rail for easy entry and exit. The pool is about 4' deep. I'm 5' 5" and the water was slightly over chest high while I was seated. The water was clear but there was some dirt on the bottom of the pool. It had a slightly sulpher smell which somehow just added to the whole experience. There are small shower/locker rooms but with only 2 showers, you will either have a long wait or you can just dry off and shower when you get home. The showers do have body wash/shampoo available. You can rent towels but they are really small and $5 each, in fact, they didn't even have any available when we arrived. You'd be much better off bringing your own. Make sure to bring flip flops or other shoes to walk on the gravel paths. I left mine in Alabama and found a pair at the Family Dollar on clearance for 50 cents. There are no actual lockers but cubbies are available - we just left our bags on a table, nobody bothered with them. In fact, everyone was really friendly. The pools weren't crowded and everyone sat, soaked and talked - mostly comparing notes about the area. You do need reservations which we made almost two weeks in advance. I've sat in plenty of hot tubs but the soak in the hot spring was different. It was special. I don't know what the magic elixir was in that water but I wish I could bottle it and take it home with me.

6/2021 This Wyoming Springs was an excursion included in our week at the dude ranch so we had to check it out. I'm glad we did. The place is clean, open and plenty of social distancing. There were different sessions (about 2 hours each) which was plenty. The kids visited the snackbar which had reasonably priced snacks. There is a shower/changing room on site. Staff was friendly and plenty of parking. If I lived in the area I would definitely visit again.

It's been a long time favorite of ours for years now. The pools are always clean and never crowded. It's a great place to bring someone who hasn't experienced a Hot Spring pool before. Looking forward to coming during the winter months as well.

Our family had a great time. Very friendly staff. Hot springs were awesome and relaxing. Nice shower area to rinse off in. Great views while you relax.

My first time soaking at Astoria in 50 years!!!!! They've done a nice job. The staff is great, booking is great, soaking and time allotted was perfect. BUT. I do not feel that everyone there should be subjected to screaming kids running around. I also think there should be a pool That is for adults only. I can't imagine what weekend are like. I prefer the helicopter over screaming kids and parents not paying attention.

Been to a number of hot springs over the years. The biggest negative here was the algae build up in all the pools. Hard to relax up against the side of a pool that is covered in algae. Have never seen anything like this and been to hot springs much larger and hotter than this so definitely there are ways to control this better. Otherwise the facility was great. Coronavirus protocols in place and followed. Plenty of room in the pools even with limits as they restrict the number of people in at any given time. Changing areas were very clean and the setting is awesome.

So glad I found this place! I went on a colder July afternoon and the water was so warm and relaxing. There weren't a lot of people around so it was easy to find some space to swim around. The LT have various size pools but they all offer amazing views of the valley. The GPS isn't 100% accurate, so when you cross the bridge stay to the left and it's the second building on the left in the parking lot. You can't see the pools from the road so it's easy to miss. Buy your tickets online ahead so you can sign the waivers. I had no wait to get it, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. I wish I had more time to stay and come here again!

Fantastic experience. I recommend it to everyone and anyone. Has a hoyer lift, I think they call it, if you're handicapped and need help getting in. You pay for a 2 hour soak, plenty of time to get your fingers wrinkled. Ha! One thing I didn't like is that there were 2 swim coaches giving private lessons to 3-5 years old, I'd say. I certainly didn't mind the kids they were cute. But is it good for little kids to be swallowing so much mineral water?

A must for a visit to the area. Especially when it's snowing. Get a waterproof bag or container for your things in winter. Bring multiple towels in case they get wet. It's so incredible, amazing and beautiful to sit in the hot springs and look around at the scenery, especially snow. Covid hysteria was still a thing with them when I went in Dec. '21 and they wouldn't let you use the cubbies and you had to set your things on the floor. Made no sense. So be sure to keep valuables with you. They were also super mask strict. I got yelled at for not wearing one the few steps from the ladies room to the door outside. I really didn't like this aspect. But if you can get past all that and outside to the springs, they are breathtaking and hot!

We had so much fun while visiting the area. It was a nice relaxing end to the day. Everything was clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Great way to relax and take in the scenery.

Very nice employees and great facilities. Our family loved it! It is small and be sure to get reservations! The 2+ hours was perfect!

This place is such an amazing hidden gem! We were planning to come a few days later in the afternoon, but the company called to let us know the bridge would be closed. So, we took the 9 at slit they had available before the closure. 9 am ended up being a perfect time to come--we were the first ones in the pool, so had our choice of where to dip in. We chose the smallest of the 5 pools, and managed to have it to ourselves for about 45 minutes before another couple joined us. The hot springs were super warm and it felt amazing being in the hot spring surrounded by snow. I would recommend this to anyone coming to jackson hole. Parking was easy and the road was very drivable. I believe the only other hot springs in the area are only accessible by snow mobile or dog sled, so Astoria was the best fit for us and our schedules!

Beautiful facility with 5 pools. We really enjoyed the warm soak after a busy few days. The lower quiet pools were great for less commotion and the upper 2 pools were great for our kids to play with other kids they met. Be ready for the strong smell of sulphur, but it was still fantastic!

If you don't go here when it's snowing, you're missing out! The workers are so friendly, the water feels amazing! Having a drink in this hot water while there's snow around you is one of the best experiences I had.

Great place to visit after a long hike. We were there during a rain storm which added a special treat. But, the locker space could use more hooks/accommodations for clothes. It was a muddy mess as folks crowded in to get their things before leaving.

It was amazing after a day of biking to sit in the springs and relax. My wife loved every minute of it. I not so much, but would go back again in heart beat. It was nice to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The facilities were well kept and the pools were amazing.

Absolutely had a wonderful time here! It was our first time to Jackson hole and we wanted to hit some hot springs! The facility is great, very Covid-19 compliant, nice people, and just a great way to spend a 2 hour block of your day. You must reserve online in advance a 2 hour block which is plenty of time to soak. They cap that right now at 50 people per session which is great! There's a big soaking tub up top, a kids one that's not deep, 2 pools that are smaller and fit around 5-8 people per pool and then a bigger one down below that's around 10. The staff are nice and Todd the owner is so friendly! A great experience, atmosphere, and we know we'll be back!

This place was great!! I was a little concerned about being cold while changing and getting to the pools but it worked great. The people were kind and friendly and the pool felt amazing! The water is pumped in but naturally hot. Some navigation systems don't recognize the address. When you the red bridge, take it and it will lead you back. Be sure you book this place and not the one at a different address!!

I loved the gorgeous scenery of the river and mountains... Also the smaller pools are great for privacy. The staff is great. I was last one there and they waited for my cab. You must try this place!

My first time to a hot spring, and I am in total love with this hot spring! The setting was gorgeous! The pools overlook the snake river and are cozied between the beautiful snow covered mountains. There are 7 pools and not crowded, as they only allow so many people in, due to Covid restrictions. You were allowed 2hrs., per reservation, which was the perfect amount of time. The mineral content of the springs left my usually dry skin unbelievably soft! There is a smell of sulfur but once you settle in the hot and soothing water, the scent becomes unnoticeable. Can't wait to go back!

This hidden gem is definitely a place that should be visited if you are in the Jackson Hole area! Spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and river from any place you decide to relax in! The staff is so friendly and inviting and they make you feel comfortable during your visit! Not to mention that they have a great selection of local beer to choose from! Will definitely come back again!

I felt the soaking pools provided enough space for social distancing. The staff was very friendly and in compliance with a COVID plan that allowed us to feel safe. The establishment was clean, affordable and it's over al, pretty darn adorable! Can't wait to go again.

Such a fun time! Very easy system they have created. It's best to make a reservation ahead of time. Each reservation is 2 hours long, starting at 12p, 2pm, etc. We did see a group show up at 3pm without a reservation and they wouldn't let them in until 4pm. So they can keep track of everyone's 2 hour reservation. For example, everyone in at 12p and out at 2pm. Since you pay ahead of time, you just show up, they mark you off their paper list, and you go right in. Alcohol and snacks available for purchase. 4 hot springs, 1 kids pool, and 1 cold plunge. Plenty of room to spread out. Would definitely visit again!

Exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly and the grounds were immaculate. Very well kept Hot Spring and will be back. Plenty of room and I loved that you can bring your own snacks. Located just 20 minutes from Jackson Hole which made it very convenient. Highly recommend !!

Oh my gosh! Such a wonderful place! We booked this for the end of our trip out west and so glad we did! It was so relaxing. Also saw a bald eagle fly over while we soaked, added bonus. Lol. I sure wish we had a place like this near my home.

This hot springs location is very scenic and beautiful. However, the service and care is below par, one could say. Especially this Hannah employee. She lacks the care for the facilities and insulted our children. I would recommend staying away from this joint. The staff is very rude in general.

I really wanted to like this place but I don't think it is worth the visit. The pool had a foul smell of rotten eggs and a VERY loud filter that greatly tainted the experience. Also, The hot springs area is super SMALL and there are limits to pool capacity - obviously the lower pools fill up quick and there isn't any type of time limit so people just stay there the whole time. Views are nice but I was expecting the be a lot closer to the river based on pictures. Staff was friendly and check-in was easy, bathrooms and grounds were clean and the pool was really warm, but unfortunately I would not return here.

Came here with my 2 daughters while our trip to Jackson Wyoming. We loved it, the hot water felt so good on our bodies, enough pools and not over crowded. Covid 19 protocols were set in place and the staff was amazing. We are definitely coming back

I visit Astoria a lot. Less so in the summer. I really like the design of the pools. But this organization is a conservation group so I was amazed during my recent trip to see that all the pools were surrounded by non native weeds. They planted a few shrubs but everything else is a weed. In the winter you don't see them. But they were allowed to get full size and nobody even weed wacked or controlled them. This was like bathing in a weed patch. They need to take on a weed management program.

We had an awesome, relaxing experience here! Highly recommend going on a gloomy, fall day. It made the springs feel even more luxurious. The facilities were clean and the staff was friendly. Not to mention the amazing views from the pools!

I visited the hot springs with my 7 friends for a bachelorette weekend in October! The staff was courteous, fun, and very organized. We loved being able to order drinks pool side and hang out. The water was hot and the views were lovely. Can't wait to visit again in the winter!

Absolutely stunning views from the water!! The hot springs were amazing but my only complaint is that it smelt a little foul. Which is understandable but otherwise absolutely therapeutic experience.

Astoria hot springs is clean, and has an excellent view from which to enjoy the snake river, and surrounding mountains. I wish on their website they had been more clear about the strict restrictions they have as to how many people could be in a pool at a time (the person I was with and I were kicked out of the pool we were in because when I left to use the restroom another couple had entered the pool). I understand social distancing, and appreciate covid safety but what I did not appreciate was walking barefoot on the snow in order to find a pool that was not at capacity. Additionally, it is not very detailed on their website but, the pools are all spread out mini hot tubs that are fed by natural hot springs, and are not what one pictures when they think of a natural hot spring. Finally, the staff made me quite uncomfortable as they questioned the person I was with and my IDs for a very long time, and were overall uptight. I mostly wanted to avoid the staff for the entirety of my visit. While we made the most of it, these hot springs leave a lot to be desired for their $18 a person price point.
