Astoria Hotel

We entered and after billing I had to tell the boy to pick up the luggage. Mostly they willing take it in other hotels with a smile. The rooms were good and comfortable. The breakfast was not that good. They live in Mumbai and cannot make a good sambhar. The options were limited. Even if it was a buffet system, the waiters were available roaming around so after my breakfast, feeling lazy to get up, I requested for coffee to one of the waiter but he indirectly refused to bring it and told me to help myself. That was quite rude. The waiter was concentrating only on the foreigners. He cannot bring just one coffee. These small incidents make a big impact when we pay all the price plus service charge, GST, cst and what not.. They have to keep the customer happy and oblige to them and not like they are the owners of the hotel and selecting the people they want to serve. All have paid your charges. Serve all. Its like common Indian have to bear their tantrums and they will show the foreigners how good they are. What's the use? Stick to your hotels ethics and be impartial. Their salary might not be equal to our one day income but they behave like owners of the hotel. And have a smile for every customer, don't stand like a zombie on the reception. The lady receptionist was good. She was all smiles and courtesy. The two stars are for her and the room service boy who politely wished good morning with a smile.The rooms were luxurious. I liked them. The window and hanger of bathroom needs to be more clean. The door's lock system was not working so felt little unsafe.

Spent 4 days in Hotel Astoria, Mumbai . Have to congratulate all the staff for being very courteous and friendly. The front office went out of their way to offer their help. The house keeping staff were prompt to attend to our requests. The place was very clean and neat. Though they were doing some renovation, they were making sure the guests were not affected. Also very centrally located. Will definitely be back when we are in Mumbai again.

Very nice Hotel at Prime location..Room and toilet is clean.. Hotel staff service is extremely good..It's a please stay.I recommend Astoria hotel for your happy pleasant stay.

Rooms are good but bigger breakfast could have been better ..

Location a little away from marine drive, view from balcony isn’t of other broken buildings, food nor so great but service and behaviour is excellent.

The hotel was clean, tidy and even the staffs were maintaining there cleanliness.The services are great, as well as the staffs are also friendly. The food was not bad, satisfied overall. It's safe and secure place to stay.

Best hotel .rooms are clean and big.Best part is it's near to churchgate station.Staff is really excellent and management is also good Over-all five star experience.must visit once.

Bit costly but the location demands. Decent hotel in South Mumbai. Walkable to the happening spots like Marine drive, Gateway of India, Marine lines. Rooms are compact. Food is okay okay with limited spread.
