June 2025~
Everything was great, the service, the place, the people, except for the food.
Shared airport transfer P500 per pax each way.
Check in was pretty smooth. Greeted with warm smiles and a cute necklace for souvenir. They also served a little snack while you wait. The guide explained
rules and whatnots while presenting the map of the whole place.
Our room is located at Alcove. Excellent room, more like a condo than a hotel - equipped with cooking and dining tools, microwave, electric kettle and a full size two-door refrigerator. Fantastic android tv with lots of channels and streaming apps.
I just hate the bathroom wall. They use frosted glass instead of a regular concrete wall. It's still obvious from outside when someone is fully clothed or not.
Being a 5-star hotel, I was looking forward with their food. Menu is very limited and taste is good, but not extra yum. So disappointing. We dined at The Reserve & at The Habitat.
- Artisanal Pizza is definitely not thin crust and more like store brought crust, tho big in size.
- Breakfast buffet is complete with the basics, breads, bacon, cereals, salads, drinks, fruits. I didnt expect to see adobo and pork steak for entrees. Very delicious for me was the Cassava cake, that's it. We didn't get to try the Dinner buffet but we were there and I could tell the food is better.
- I really liked the Steamed fish with supreme sauce at The Habitat
- Bread and cake from the Cafe were good for their price. We took home Bibingcute & Ube cheese pandesal for pasalubong.
The map looks intimidating but it's actually walkable. You could also hitch a free ride on their shuttle that roams around the place.
Beach was on red flag, no swimming allowed due to box jellyfish season.
We also availed the shared Underground River tour from them - P2800 per pax. It was gloomy the whole day, raining since morning but the tour push through. Thank you to Ms. April, our beautiful guide. She was fun and detailed.
We had 1-day access to the Waterpark. Though it's small compared to Aqua Planet, we still enjoyed it.
Also, dont forget to reserve their Free Sandbar tour - it's a must visit! White sand and clear waters just 30 minute boat ride away.
