Astoria Palawan

Astoria Palawan was one of the memorable family vacation we had. The resort will surprise you with spacious room, well designed and detailed interior decorations, and impeccably clean rooms and landscaped surroundings. Good that we booked on a December as the resort took extra effort for sparkling lightings and Christmas themed decors. There are a lot of amenities and facilities. We enjoyed the pools, the recreation area for billiards, table tennis and videoke singing with the fam. The staff were courteous and responsive to our needs. The food was great and the buffet breakfast was generous. The themed Filipino dinner was sumptuous and finished with great fire dancing. The beach view was okay but we were not able to swim as it was almost always low tide when we go to the beachfront. But the Waterpark compensated as we enjoyed the slides. The resort is quite far from Puerto Princesa city center (1 hour travel), but is actually perfect and centrally located if you want to explore more places in Palawan as it is within less than an hour to Underground River, Honda Bay, Port Barton and San Vicente (where the white sand Long Beach is a paradise). Highly recommended resort and best value for money!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our four-day stay at Astoria Palawan was absolutely brilliant. We rented a car from the airport, and the drive took a little over an hour. The room was spotless, and the property is large with plenty of activities to enjoy. The staff were remarkable, from the security guard at the entrance to the check-in team and everyone we interacted with daily. Special mention to Ariel from the dinner area, who was exceptional. The resort features a waterpark, a free sandbar tour, and a beautiful pool area. We were lucky to be there during their holiday-themed event, which included live music and an impressive fire dance in the evenings. I would definitely come back.

I was hoping for a better experience based on reviews, but our stay was just okay. We traveled with 4 adults and 3 kids and stayed 3 nights. Pros: The property is absolutely beautiful and full of amenities. Our kids loved the recreation center. The buffet was good and had a great variety. We had breakfast buffet each morning and dinner buffet 2 nights. Cons: The a la carte food was mediocre at best. Our first night we ate at The Habitat. We ordered and were told it would be 20-35 minutes for the food. Most of the order was delivered to our table 55 minutes after ordering. The last dish did not come until 1 hour and 5 minutes later! We also ate at Fine Nest. The service was better but the food was still just okay. The waterpark was fun for a bit. Our youngest kid loved the splash area, but there isn’t much to do for bigger kids so we didn’t stay too long. It is so far from town. There’s opportunity to travel to other areas but everything takes at least 1.5 hours each way. Overall it is a nice resort with good amenities but we will not stay here again.

We stayed for one night but had a lot of fun. The rooms were clean, neat and well taken care of. The beds were extremely comfortable and long enough for us tall people. The staff were very welcoming, always down for a chat and will do a lot for you. When it comes to the property itself, I have nothing to complain. We were with two children and it was perfect, also for them. The swimming pools are clean, and we loved swimming in the infinity pool. The food was also really good! It was a buffet and we enjoyed every single bit of it. Us Dutchies only missed some good cheese, as there was only mozzarella and cheddar haha. Overall, we loved it here. Next time we will go here for more than one night to really explore everything, and the waterpark ofcourse!

More than anything, Astoria Palawan's service to its guests is excellent and commendable I felt like a celebrity during my entire stay. The room we stayed in was nice and the resort is jam packed with amenities and activities. There are complimentary tours available. We did the Pakpak Lauin beach tour and it's exquisite. The overall ambiance of the resort is very chill, quiet, and calm, perfect for people who actually want to relax and unwind. The personnel always ensures that your room is clean. They're also courteous, always greeting you whenever they see you. The waterpark is amazing! We felt like children playing around its attractions. Big shoutout to Sir Agustin for accompanying us during our stay in the waterpark. He's super hospitable, and takes great photos and videos! I 100% recommend this place to my loved ones. This is definitely worth the price.

Stayed for 1 whole week as a family with kids. Astoria's shuttle service took around 45 minutes from Puerto Princesa airport to the resory, which is pretty far from the city proper. However, the resort is self sufficient with their own clinic, shuttle services within the resort, 3-4 restaurants, beach front, beach activities, and partner tours. If you want a peaceful, slow vacation, this spot is good for you. If you want busy with real noisy nightlife, then maybe Boracay is your go to. Their restaurants serve good ala carte and buffet options, which in my opinion, is fairly priced naman. Note that we are Astoria members and get free airport transfers and discounts on breakfast buffet ratesnand extra rooms/expenses. Ms. Pam is our amazing member coordinator from Astoria. We had an amazing stay at Astoria Palawan! Although it’s a bit far from the city center, the resort has everything you need, great food, comfortable rooms, and plenty of fun activities like kayaking, biking, and the water park. What truly made our trip special was the exceptional service. Everyone, from housekeeping, reception, security, kitchen staff, shuttle and transport drivers, to the water park and activities team, was absolutely awesome. They were all warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about our comfort. Even when a typhoon hit during our stay, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were safe and well taken care of. The transport officer kept us updated until it was safe to leave, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a memorable experience. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Had a great experience at Astoria Palawan! The resort has more than complete facilities — truly everything you need for relaxation and enjoyment. The staff are all polite, attentive, and very accommodating, which made the stay even better. I was quite impressed by the Astoria Palawan Resort. The resort is beautifully situated very close to the water. We were here for three nights. But what impressed me most was the front desk, restaurant, accommodations, tour plans and water park. The front desk was prompt to our needs. They made every effort to ensure that my girl friend and I were satisfied and having a great experience. We were upgraded immediately when our landline phone was not working. The restaurant's breakfast and dinners were delicious. A taco night, who would have known. For breakfast, main dishes were changed daily giving you an opportunity to taste something new. Each night, a fire show capped off a wonderful evening. The accommodations were very good. The pillows and bed were vey comfortable. I liked that the shower and toilet area being separated giving us privacy. The tour plan was convenient and prompt. The tour vans were on time and they was no waiting. Tour plans were for many wonderful locations. We went island hopping one day. It included snorkeling in many locations over coral reefs and a lunch on one small island. Our other tour was to the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park. This is something I will never forget. We also did a Mangrove tour by indigenous locals and zip lining nearby. What a wonderful trip created by the tour planners for us. The water park was amazing. Many slides and lots of water. Additionally, the water was very clean and there were many life guards on duty. I will go back or visit one of their other resorts.

This is like a secret resort hidden in nature. The place is beautiful while the amenities are first class. The food is varied and delicious. Best of all, the staff is courteous and accommodating. They prioritize the guest experience at the top. I would come back again and again. Thank you to the people and management that keep this gem a gem.

During my research on places to stay in Palawan, I fell in love with this resort because of their upgraded amenities such as the bathroom and their beautiful pool! Very important in my book! Love that the resort sits right on the beach. The resort is an hour and 20 min from Puerto Princesa airport. Would recommend flying in early and seeing the city first before checking in. We were welcomed with fresh juice, a rose because it's Valentine's Day, a shell necklace and friendly staff. Check in was quick and easy. We were then escorted to our rooms, we reserved 2 side by side. Each villa has 4 roomy and modern rooms with the bare concrete floors, nicely upgraded bathroom, beds are a bit too hard for me but are very common in the Philippines. The resort has many amenities such as free kayak and paddle board rental, game rooms, playgrounds, infinity pool, private beach, but only 1 restaurant. The resort is expanding and a water park is set to open summer 2016.

Before coming here everything mentioned was about the great customer service. And I can say they are indeed excellent in addressing their customers needs Hotel Rooms are clean with modern decor. They are quick to bring what you need. The dining area had a buffet breakfast. Food was good on a daily basis but I had wished they had a better exhaust in the restaurant. Again staff was always at your service. My wallet fell as I was dining and one of the staff was honest to pick it up and return it to me, Really appreciated that. The beach front is more of a view than to actually be on it. But the infinite pool sure compensates the lack of access to the beach and if you have kids the pool park is a sure hit. On the entertainment they have the fire dancers on a daily basis and lounge singers. The Friday night singer was even nice enough to duet 2x with my father :) Things that I think they can improve on is an actual bar that stays late and continuous entertainment. Perhaps even just music or tv's. They do have a karaoke bar but I feel with the bar they can even do well with this as people do look for something to do at night.

The best resort in Palawan! You will meet the friendliest staff ready to meet all your needs. And don't forget to look for Andy B - he is the funniest and most gorgeous staff member at the resort! We love Andy B!
