It it clean, the gear is generally very good (double floor Tom's are always a treat). Not perfect but much better than most I've seen.

Great place to rehearse for your gigs or hang out and jam with friends and family. You could even bring in food and drinks (which was what we did). You can also bring your dog, as long as it's housebroken and can deal with the noise.

Great place for rehearsal. no mater what you are, a single musician or a full band , there is good enough space and good gears to work with. Clean and very responsive staff.

I have been going to Astoria Soundworks for well over 7 years for both professional rehearsal and for casual jamming. The rooms are top notch, always clean, and with great working gear. The staff has always been accommodating and friendly. Charles in particular has helped out my band in scheduling and is just an all around great guy to work with. Place is a local treasure.

Great spaces. Only issue I ever had is one of the smaller rooms for 3 people having mold (this was several months ago, maybe it’s been fixed now). But every other room has been pristine. Best prices in NYC and they have specials on rooms sometimes.

So grateful that this place exists. Astoria Soundworks is the best rehearsal space in the city. As a drummer, there is no better place to shed for an affordable rate. Equipment is on point, staff is excellent, and they will always lend you whatever you need. I am in here multiple times per week. Shout out to Charles who always holds me down!

Been coming here weekly for the last 6 months. Always high-quality rooms with great staff! Like any rehearsal studio, equipment is not always the most reliable. But they're always good about switching stuff out on the fly, if needed.

My band and I have been rehearsing for years at the studio. We love it. The rooms sound great. The equipment is cared for and is top notch. The pricing is awesome. Charles and the rest of the staff are so friendly and helpful.

I worked with Sandra and she was outstanding. She was so mindful about my volume, enunciation, distance from the mic, everything. I love having one who cares about the product as much--if not more--than I do. And incredibly reasonable with pricing. I had a marathon session and she was with me every step of the way: patient, discerning, and willing to re-record any flubs or tangles. Truly an excellent experience.

Booking was fast and easy. I just moved to the area and needed a new rehearsal space for my three-piece band. We found that room 8, a room recommended for "solo musicians or up to three people" was perfect. It is a humorously tiny room but for $10/hour, we can play for three hours for only ten bucks apiece. Walking around the facility I see that they have a number of rooms, all larger (and admittedly nicer) than this one, but it has a certain charm. I'm booked again for tonight in a slightly larger room, and look forward to it. The space is simple, and it is obvious that several businesses rolled into this one, but it is more than enough for what it is. I look forward to playing here often.

This review is for their customer service. The guys at the front are incredibly rude and self righteous. Looks like a new regime at the front, the guys from the past were always cool. These guys are millennial douchebags.

For the second time within two months, I drive to Queens and meet other people who also had to travel a bit, and find that they didn't have the time booked. Their claim both times was if their email confirmation wasn't sent, then it wasn't booked. Umm..no you screwed up. An apology, admitting they messed up, or offering to compensate never crossed their minds. I think after 4 years, it's time for me to find another rehearsal place.

Amazing atmosphere at Astoria Soundworks. BIG UPS TO JULIAN! Always there to help when we need it, always suggesting cool new stuff. We come for the rehearsal space but stay because of Julian.

ASW great studio super equipment staff is the best this place Rock's we have been using ASM for many years so if your about to Rock or you already do come to ASM and kick out the jam'sSHADOWDWELLER

I rehearsed here twice. The equipment is what you can expect from a place like this. It works, but isn't exactly in perfect condition. The second time I showed up they gave me a room and a bass amps was blown out, so I had to take 15 minutes of the session to confirm with the worker there that the amp was blown out when I showed up and I didn't cause any damage, which was ok I guess. Kind of a nuisance. Convenient location and I preferred this place to some other similar spots I've been to. I've found that a lot of these rehearsal studios actually have bad acoustics, but this place had decent sounding rooms. There's also a really nice room I'd like to try out at some point. If you're rehearsing for a show with some friends I'd definitely recommend this place for the rehearsals.

They have pretty much every kind of amp you could want. Location is super convenient to the N train but that's about it. Just make sure to bring enough cables because they are sticklers about that. Overall a great space.

my band practices here and we've been very satisfied with it. Great staff and good selection of amps in each practice room. Make sure you ask about the specials and get signed up for points -- it's a great surprise when you get a free rehearsal! Also the xmas party is killer.

This studio is my home away from home! I play bass and the Ampegs in every room rock. the staff is always friendly and the place is always clean. even the bathrooms! Once in a while an amp won't work but they will swap it out for you. They also help set up the PA and the keyboard. Nice lounge, snacks, and strings in a vending machine. Cool!

Great place to practice and I love how clean it is. The staff is very friendly and chill. The rooms are a bit small but I guess that's what you get for living in an urban neighborhood. The only problem is the n train being a bit of a walk, however the service and instruments are always good.

Love this place, great equipment, friendly and knowledgeable staff and affordable prices. The premier rooms are out of sight and the standards give you a lot of bang for your buck. Where else do you get to plug in to top of the line Ampegs and Marshalls without having to worry about lugging them around or paying to rent them out.

I've been coming to ASW for over 8 years and have never been disappointed in the service , the great staff and the quality of the rooms . The drum kits are always kept up and sound great !!! Now I rehearse there usually twice a week ( the guys usually joke around saying how many bands are playing in now ...lol). I've been recommending ASW to my musician friends and my audio clients . I recently used the A room to shoot a promo video for one of my clients and they loved the place . The staff were very accommodating and my video came out awesome. They have excellent deals,a wide selection of well-equipped & clean rooms , and the staff is always there to help.The location is also easily accessible, just a couple of minutes from the train station,Had a really good time over there!

Great place to rehears or to just go and jam . Prices are very reasonable . Small rooms go for 10 - $12 dollars Large recording rooms $25 so if you go with a few people your jamming for beans . Staff is cool just dont smoke in the rooms . Also rooms are supplied with piano / keyboards and drums . $10 guitar rentals . The only reason for 4 stars is that you can hear bands for some weird reason in the amps in your room ! dont know how thats possible and freaky thing is the lights change if you put them down they go up . Dont know if they are controlling that but it is spooky ! Rm 14 and 12

I have been astounded each time by what a pleasant experience it is to rehearse here. The most recent time I booked 3 hours during the daytime. First of all, it was only $30 ( for THREE hours) and they gave me the best room that was open. Clean, friendly staff (I spoke with Darryl) great equipment - really the only rehearsal place I ever want to be in. I traveled to Astoria from Manhattan to play there and will do so again, because this is the best place in NYC to rehearse.

Nothing but good things to say. Friendly and helpful staff, great price, if you don't mess with their levels you will be able to hear just about everything as you are practicing and the keyboards actually have some really great sounds. Full recommendation to anyone!

This place rocks! Considering I live in Astoria and there are no other good places to practice my drumming, this is by default the best place to practice, but other than that backhanded compliment, this place still rocks! I normally play in their smaller session rooms which run about 10 bucks an hour (are you serious?! Heck yea!) and get a solid hour and half practice in when I come in. I have gotten to know the dudes at the front desk and they are cool and always let me go in early if nobody is in the room. Free time baby. The smaller session rooms themselves aren't amazing, but they do the trick and I actually like practicing on somewhat 2nd tier gear as I play on a lot of house kits so I don't have to lug my kit with me and this keeps in top form for those types of gigs. The larger studios for band practices are awesome. Clean, big, and they have everything you need. Good amps, great kits, all the plugs you need man. This place has become my weekend home. Love it hear.
