Astra Apartments Canberra Kingston

Rebecca and her team were exceptional in communicating and assisting me with my stay in the apartment. She called and advised me on exactly what I needed to do prior to my arrival, and Thomas was waiting for me when I arrived at the apartment to personally hand me the keys and take me on a guided tour of the apartment and facilities that were available. Thomas was extremely helpful in answering any queries that I had and was able to give me a good idea of the local area and amenities. The apartment itself was spacious, very clean and comfortable, and the wifi was excellent. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the washing machine and tumble dryer in the bathroom proved to be very handy. When I needed assistance on my last day at the apartment, Rebecca went out of her way to accommodate me and was extremely compassionate and courteous in understanding my situation. I am truly grateful to Rebecca, Thomas and the rest of the Astra team for making my stay such a pleasant and memorable experience. Thank you Astra team!

I found the one bedroom apartment good for what I needed. I was met on arrival and shown to and around the apartment (there is no reception area). Location was great in Kingston with pubs and restaurants all within a short walk as well as a small supermarket across the road. The room was well equipped with a full modern kitchen with living area and dining table, as well as washing machine and dryer. Bed is low and the bedroom is relatively small. Needs additional powerpoints near the bed for devices (my complaint for most hotels). Bathroom is dated with no cupboards. There is an online manual but I was not given a wifi password (I got it by ringing the contact). Please update the manual as there is no info about parking and please give wifi code so you can review the manual! In the 16 days the room was only serviced once (I was told it was weekly). Aside from that I would definitely stay again.

Wifi is shockingly bad. No aircon in the bedrooms, very small unit in lounge which barely covers that area, does not reach bedrooms at all, not even a fan so expect it to be VERY stuffy in summer. One bathroom to share between 4 was not great either. Location is good.

Just imagine it, a strip shopping centre across the road with an endless number of restaurant, cafes and Canberra's Best Bakery, Silo. Only 5 mins to most of the attractions in Canberra. Five minute walk to the new lakeside development on Lake Burley Griffin. A short walk to the Old Bus Depot Market. Not only that, this apartment is stylish and practical. One bedroom, generous kitchen, dining, lounge area with a sunny balcony. Generous sized bedroom with bathroom (shower) and european laundry, with separate walkin wardrobe, dressing room. All rooms enjoy lots of light and fresh air. Why would you stay anywhere else?

Good location across road from decent grocery store, cafes and some good places to eat. Found apartment a little dirty and missing key features in a self contained apartment; namely smart TV, full length mirror, hair dryer and some non-stick cooking pans/pots. Oh and more than one key would be great.

Rooms are comfortable but service not particularly good - I locked myself out of my room and called Reception to let me back in, but it took over an hour for them to do so.

The managers are very responsive to concerns or queries.
