I stayed in this hotel with the group for 3 nights. Location of this hotel is great, it's near the train station, and some establishments are just a few blocks away like supermarket and some restaurants and coffee shop like Starbucks. Lake Geneva is just a few steps away and you will also see the statue of Charlie Chaplin and the Big fork. Breakfast was great, with good quality cheeses and bread. Staff are accomodating, very respectful and hospitable.|But one thing i can criticize is the room. Since this is a 4 star hotel, my expectation is very high since i have to different hotels across the world. I stayed in a very small room and very outdated. Shower room is so tight and i can't barely move during shower. Toiletries are cheap. I hope they can improve on this and be at par with the international standard

We were in a "pretty bad" hotel room, we were not happy about it.|It was almost like living in an attic, small, low slanty attic ceiling, both my husband and I had bumped our heads twice right away, and had to really watch it later at night when dark. My husband is 6"1 and he can't even get close enough to the toilet because of the low slanty attic ceiling.|Also, the bathtub bottom is rounded with no security bar or mat, dangerous to stand on especially wet. The tub glass door seems like not completely installed, too short or narrow that when the insecure shower head falls, water spilled all over the floor.|We had to go through 2 elevators to get to our room in 4+ floor, and the 2nd elevator looks like a service elevator, very small, room is small looked like a staff room. We are the only guest in that floor.|When asked to change room, the receptionist showed like we are being difficult, so we just took it. We all pay the same price in our tour group, felt terrible to stuck in that room.

Great Location, near the train station. Restaurant is very good. Close to the Lake and town.

Very worn down hotel without any charm. The “so called” spa was poorly maintained and the sauna did not work.

I have stayed at the Astra Hotel in Vevey on two occasions, and my experiences have been somewhat mixed. On the positive side, the hotel’s location is excellent, right next to the train station, making it incredibly convenient. The rooms, while a bit dated, have fully functioning air conditioning (during summer), reliable hot water (albeit with inconsistent water pressure) and TVs with international channels. However, I encountered some challenges during my stays. In the winter, the rooms became uncomfortably warm since the air conditioning is deactivated, and cooling the room required opening windows to very cold outdoor temperatures, which also let in significant noise from the station area. Additionally, I feel it would be more accommodating for a four-star hotel to provide more than one complimentary bottle of water for a three-night stay, as charging 6 CHF per bottle from the minibar feels excessive. As for the facilities, they are functional but fairly standard. The gym is basic, the spa was not operational during my visit, and while I didn’t dine in the restaurant, it appeared popular, suggesting the food is likely good. On the other hand, the breakfast was underwhelming for the price (25 CHF), as the buffet selection was unimpressive, limited, and could be more imaginative. Overall, the hotel offers convenience and basic comfort, but I believe some improvements could bring it more in line with four-star expectations.

The hotel is directly in front of the train station, so it is ideal for those without a car. The visitor card gives free access to good local public transport services. Our room was of good size and comfortable. We were happy with the hotel food, and the prices not out of line with Switzerland

This hotel was booked as part of a Saga group booking and it was one of the worst hotels we stayed at during our trip. Our room (310) had the smallest bathroom with a rusty and dirty towel radiator which had clearly never been cleaned. The pipes would make a terrible noise when you flushed the toilet or used the taps, and the noise would go on for ages. Some in our group complained and were moved to better rooms which made me wonder why we were not put in these rooms in the first place if they were available. The air conditioning unit in the room was also very noisy. We would have left our windows open if it had not been so noisy outside the hotel due to it's proximity to the train station. The area had an uncomfortable feel to it with drug dealers frequenting the area around the train station. I also found one of the receptionists (a woman on 29.09.24 at 9.30am) at the front desk quite rude and miserable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We were given a room (310) with a very small bathroom, the towel radiator had rust and dust on it. The pipes in the bathroom would make a horrible noise every time you turned the taps on or flushed the toilet and the noise would go on for ages after. The air conditioning unit was really noisy and would click loudly when the vents moved. We were right next to the station and it was very noisy and busy outside the hotel. The receptionist was very rude and miserable. Although we were part of a SAGA holiday group booking, it seemed like the hotel had given us the worst rooms possible it was only when some of the group complained that they were moved to better rooms (which clearly were available) and which we should have been given in the first place. It totally ruined our holiday on our last day in Switzerland.

Yelp
I was staying at the hotel an ate breakfast and lunch. The breakfast was a very simple but extensive continental breakfast. The quality of the food was very good and very fresh. At lunchtime i ate at their adjoining bistro next door. I was surprised by how crowded it was. It has an extensive seafood selection, but we went for the soup du jour, salad and burger. Very enjoyable mean. The price was very reasonable by Swiss standards.

Yelp
Classy room and great service. Great location as hotel is right next to the Metro station
