Astra Suites

Wow... where to even begin. Astra Suites felt like the definition of wonderful luxury. My wife and I stayed at Astra Suites in early October 2024 during our honeymoon and our stay was nothing less than perfect. From the moment you arrive, the wonderful staff do everything possible to ensure you enjoy every moment. Located in Imerovigli, you feel like you're staying on the very top of Santorini, far from the overcrowded streets and noise of other areas of the island. Staying at Astra Suites feels so relaxing and serene. Even before we arrived in Santorini, the staff at Astra Suites arranged our pickup from the ferry terminal, which was a lifesaver to beat the crowds, as well as making reservations for us at their wonderful restaurant, Five Senses. Our room was absolutely pristine, and we were greeted by flowers and a bottle of wine. The pool overlooking Skaros rock and the beautiful sea was one of the best views and hotel experiences we have ever had. The hotel and property were so relaxing and high quality that we cancelled other plans in Santorini just to spend more time at Astra Suites. Even the room service was fantastic! The personalized hotel breakfast served right on your room's balcony every morning was the perfect way to start any day. We plan on returning to Santorini in the future, just for the opportunity to stay at Astra Suites again.

My studio no. 202 was good value for money. The studio is big enough for 1 person, but I think the room is too small for 2 people. The spacious terrace with a great view has a table with 2 chairs (no sun loungers), is spacious but unfortunately without shade. The pool has a fantastic location but again there is no shade. The person in charge of the pool refused to open the parasols because the wind was too strong. The argument is correct, but it was not possible to stay by the pool when it was over 30 degrees. The pool area was therefore empty. The hotel should urgently find a solution here, otherwise a stay at the Astra Suites in summer is not an option (unless you have a room with a private pool and covered terrace). |The furnishing style is a bit dated compared to the newer hotels, but the rooms are well maintained and clean. The hotel has one of the best locations in Imerovigli with top views of the sunset. |The staff are all very friendly and courteous. The breakfast is very good with a large selection and was delivered to the room on time. Several times I received a surprise gift in my room (fruit bowl, olive oil, wine, Prosecco, sweets), all very nice.|Conclusion: The hotel scores with its personal, warm service. However, I would choose a different hotel for my next stay (at least in summer) with shaded areas by the pool or a pool suite at the Astra Suites (expensive).

Astra was one of the best experiences we have had in a long time. This is a boutique hotel situated in a very quiet and exclusive location of Imerovigli. Santorini can get busy but we felt this village was in the perfect location, easily walkable to Fira for more energy and choice and an easy cab ride to Oia (largest tourist area). The views and scenery are breathtaking over the caldera. We stayed in a suite that was comfortable and spacious. The reason we keep thinking about this place is the incredible service and workers. They are so well trained and genuinely care about your wellbeing, the standard was very high. From the reception desk to the team that delivered our amazing breakfast every morning, the staff was attentive, respectful, and did everything they could, to make our stay that much better. Special shoutout to Yiannis who hosted our welcome (and our dinning experience at the hotel's restaurant Five Senses), he was so warm and thoughtful we were lucky to have met him. Overall this hotel has the a standard of service so high, it will be difficult to stay at other places in the future. I highly recommend a stay at Astra (and eat at their restaurant for an incredible meal overlooking the Caldera), we will be back.

We had a wonderful stay at Astra Suites. Astra Suites delivered on every front. The views and sunsets were breathtaking. The rooms were immaculate and service was impeccable. The pool was a cool and refreshing reprieve from the heat. Our favorite breakfast item was the pancakes with pistachio cream. Waking to the vistas and enjoying breakfast and coffee on the balcony upon waking each day was a treasure. Five Senses restaurant offered stand out dishes, seamless service, and was the best dinner we had on the island. We loved being close to Skaros rock and hiked it twice during our stay. Staying in Imerovigli at Astra Suites was a quiet sanctuary from the tourism and George treated us like family.

We ended up at this hotel as the hotel we booked let us down at the very last minute. Not the cheapest on the island but for our honeymoon this is a hotel that provides exceptional customer service, with very particular attention to detail. Not many hotels can boast rooms with a balcony from your bedroom that provides the beautiful sunset view that tourists clamber for the best spot in Santorini.

This is the place to stay! The views were breathtaking, the rooms were unbelievable and the staff, like family. We had a beautiful suite with a balcony and hot tub that is from a dream. Every morning they deliver breakfast of your choice and you can eat it on the balcony or should I say Terrance. Maira and George were so welcoming and really made our stay special! It was quiet, clean, and stunning!

Astra Suites is an absolute gem - from the rooms to the service, everything is top notch. My wife and I came here for our honeymoon and I couldn't be happier with our experience. A couple highlights: - The AC was broken in our original room. Instead of sending repairmen in and disrupting our vacation, Astra immediately upgraded us to a much larger room with no questions asked and no additional charges. - Every single person who worked there was so kind, thoughtful, and helpful. - I will never understand why the price of this hotel is so low compared to some of their neighbors. I won't call them out by name but some of the rooms are 20-30 feet from 5-star hotels that cost triple. - The view of the caldera is breathtaking. Being in the middle is really special and something you don't get from Oio or some of the other cities. - You're walking distance to Fira and the path is a beautifully paved path along the side of the Caldera so you never lose the view. You can find great restaurants and shopping anytime you want, or you can retreat back to the hotel for peace, quiet, and romance. We loved everything about Astra Suites and can't wait to return.
