Step into the enchanting world of Astrid Lindgren's characters at this charming theme park in Vimmerby, perfect for little ones to explore shows and play.
"Astrid Lindgren is famous internationally for Pippi Longstocking, but in Sweden everyone is familiar with many more characters from her books, and they are all brought to life in this theme park located in her hometown of Vimmerby. There are various performances by the characters—you can see Pippi at her home, Villa Villekulla, for example—and then when the show is over children can explore the setting and meet the characters. The shows themselves are all in Swedish, but there’s still plenty of stuff to keep youngsters of any nationality entertained."
Nice park, for the Pipi fans. Not a park with rides, but rather with shows. The shows are nicely put together and are full of music and dance. The language is Swedish, but it's a joy to watch. A lot to do for small kids. Would definitely recommend!

All shows are in Swedish but if you know the stories then you can understand what's happening. The actors are great and very kind when you meet them after the shows. All the buildings and areas are made with great details. If you are looking at going here please know that there are no rides in this park. If you like you can bring your own sausages to grill at one on three spots in then park. Never seen that before :-)

It is not really worth the money for 2 years olds. We have been there with three 2 years olds and neither of them really enjoyed it. The place where the shows are performed was so sunny and it was really hard to enjoy the shows.
Shopping options were good as my daughter really enjoyed to get nice dresses.

Great place for fun, you can bring your kids and watch different shows that Astrid Lindgren wrote.
The Astrid Lindgrens värld is definitely a place for everyone. No matter age.
You can either bring your own snacks or buy snacks/food (a bit expensive but delcious) at the ASW.
I recommend to buy your ticket and your parking ticket beforehand on their website. That made it an easy entrance.
I would definitely go again when my kids are older.

A magnificant place where you can forget about worries and troubles of daily life for a while. Many beautiful sceneries, shows, place to sit and relax. You can touch everyrhing, meet fairy tale heroes. The most important is good weather to visit all the Valley.

A place filled with nostalgia if you read the books or saw the TV shows. Even for grown ups this comes highly recommended despite the hefty price tag. And don’t forget to grab something from the bakery. Handmade and so tasty.

Great place for a fun day out with kids.
I actually expected a bit more of it, had imagined it to be more interactive, something like a book connected, however still it was a nice day.
The only thing that can be bothering are the crowds of people and the fact that the adults instead of give space to the kids by the shows in each station are just standing there blocking the view behaving like they are the only ones there.
For the rest well maintained and nice place to spend a day with you kids if they know the books (or not).
