Astroea Beach Mauritius

Beautiful experience. Thank you to all the staff for their incredible hospitality. Special mentions for Shyam and Xavier for their exceptional service.||The room was very clean with a beautiful sea view and also very spacious. ||Snorkeling equipment available at the Reception if you want to visit the beautiful coral gardens in front of the hotel. ||Dinner ambiance at Night very cool and quiet. ||Cosy hotel!

We stayed in the ocean view deluxe room and it was very good. The room was spacious, well designed with a very good interior. Bathrooms were also good. Room had two balconies. The one facing the beach was just amazing. We enjoyed sitting there and enjoying the beach, the ocean, the birds and the overall ambience. We spent hours in the balcony. ||Hotel is located just on the private beach. We enjoyed snorkeling there, with lots of varieties of fish as well as coral. It's a very serene and calm place. If you want to experience tranquility, then this is the right hotel. One gets up to the nice chirping of birds. Walking on the beach in the morning was yet another fantastic experience.||The part where we seek improvement is the approach of the hotel to cut corners. In Mauritius we stayed in 3 hotels either 3 or 4 star ones. However this is the only place that doesn't have a purified water dispenser. They also don't have an intercom to connect to the reception. Breakfast spread is also limited. This again is the only hotel that doesn't serve nuts and serves only one type of dry fruit in a limited quantity. It's a three star hotel; so such corner cutting should definitely be avoided. ||Overall, we loved the property, especially its serene location and the snorkeling.

Visited in February 2023 and experienced Hurricane Freddy whilst staying there so were forced to stay another night as flights grounded. Quelle dommage 😁 Had an absolutely wonderful stay here. Hopefully will stay again before it's converted to a beach club.

Came in as Holiday Inn guest for an afternoon. The beach is nice, even if on a smaller side. No beach towels available for rent (did not bring my own for whatever reason); many inhouse guests block their sunbeds with towels even if they are away; restaurant staff unprofessional and not knowledgeable (ordered a cocktail from drinks menu, the waitress had no idea how to prepare it and was giggling upon cocktail name).

As part of the shared facilities with Holiday Inn Mon Trésor, I had the privilege of experiencing this serene haven with the added convenience of a complimentary shuttle service every hour. The beach itself is breathtakingly beautiful—pristine white sand, crystal-clear waters, and a peaceful, silent atmosphere that feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle. Its privacy is unmatched, making it the perfect place to relax, recharge, and soak in the natural beauty of Mauritius. Adding to the charm is the wonderful restaurant and beautifully quiet social club located right by the water. The combination of delicious cuisine, friendly service, and the soothing sound of waves creates an unforgettable dining experience. Astroea Beach is more than just a beautiful destination—it’s a serene escape where every detail enhances the feeling of exclusivity and relaxation. A must-visit for anyone in Mauritius, especially those staying at the Holiday Inn Mon Trésor. Highly recommended!

This is the perfect place if one is looking for tranquility and good food with a wonderful sea view... I had my birthday lunch there and it was just memorable. The service was quick, the price of the food was reasonable and the location breathtaking. Special thanks to Mr Shyam for his hospitality and professionalism.

Stayed for one night as attending a wedding nearby.||Admittedly we only booked the budget room as we were at a wedding all afternoon/evening but there’s definitely room for improvement, our room overlooked the small car park , the room was a great size, clean but had a strange smell, no bedside tables which we found odd, and we each had one very flat pillow.||Breakfast: no menu was given, a small fruit salad was served, with bread & pastries , after asking for the menu I ordered the healthy option which should have consisted of yogurt, fruit & nuts, boiled egg with bread & jam, what arrived was yogurt with raisins only, boiled egg with bacon?! ||Staff were friendly and tried hard to be accommodating, check-in was seamless and all the staff we encountered weee very helpful.||This hotel is situated right on the beach, it really good be fabulous with a little refurbishment.

Had a wonderful time at this relaxing beautiful hotel. Staff were very friendly great service at meal times. The rooms were very clean ( thankyou Rita Housekeeper) The location was perfect to relax in the peaceful environment & further down the shore line / beach lots of water activities .The food was very good menu choice. The location was ideal for snorkeling & the beautiful marine life. I must add for tourist a warning not to touch any shells in the sea. A venomous shell Red Cone (Conus baleatus) deadly can be in the waters of the Indian Ocean. There are no beach signs to warn tourists about this shell. Please wear sea shoes & touch nothing whilst in the water. |I would definitely return to this beautiful resort. Lots of local fishermen to speak to & friendly community.
