Asuka Japanese Restaurant

My favourite high-end sushi place in Toronto. Love to go here when I want really fresh sushi, and am willing to pay a little bit more for the better quality stuff. Has a great ambiance. One of those places that looks like nothing special from the outside, but is amazing inside, with great food. Waitresses are always super nice and helpful. Food has always come quickly, and been delicious. I've brought many friends and they've all loved it. Make a reservation because it's small, so they can't always seat you. Definitely worth every penny.

I've been thrice. Fantastic service! Great environment. All killer-no filler food! I'd highly recomend it and don't miss their seaweed salad! It has avocado on top and is made with a variety of seaweeds. Like a mixed green.. delicious!

Being a long time customer of Asuka, we've seen and tasted what this restaurant has to offer and all in all, it is fantastic. Whenever we need a go-to spot for sushi and don't want to have to worry if the portions are good, or if the quality is there, or if they can get the serving temperature right - we turn to Asuka. First thing I did after I was able to WALK after giving birth to my babies? Dinner at Asuka. No other place would have satisfied the craving. Love them.

It has decent food and good service. I had heard a lot about this place and how exceptional it was. The prices were certainly exceptional but I would rate the food itself as average. I would say the best thing I had here was definitely their miso soup. The best I have had anywhere!

Love the food here at Asuka! The food is always fresh. However, the service is okay, not the greatest. The waitresses seem annoyed when taking orders. They're pretty rude and short when you call to make reservations.

WORST SERVICE EVER! I used to love this place but the last couple times that I have been there I have noticed a significant decrease in the quality of service at this establishment. The servers are rude! The last time I was there, I stood at the front waiting to be seated for 5 minutes. There was no excuse as the restaurant was empty. I left. Such a shame for a Japanese restaurant where pride and respect for others is so ingrained in their culture. Never again.

Preface: Asuka used to be great. Used to be. Salmon was like a mulch of off-cuts Hamachi tasted... old Nobody even asked how the food was No tea was offered Owners or owners' friends/family sat in the back corner laughing loudly and talking to each other Won't go back

Soso. Japanese and korean style are mixed and waiters are too often talk to each others. Sushi is a bit different from asian style(not juicy dry rice) and it was supposed to be canadian style, I beileve.
