Harbour View Motel and Waterfront Apartments

We’d definitely recommend this place and stay again. The staff/ management are welcoming and friendly and you instantly feel at home. The room we stayed in (upstairs 2 bedroom) was so clean and well presented with a very comfortable bed, great kitchen and bathroom. A nice cosy ambiance to the room! Aircon kept us warm with the cooler nights:) Laundry onsite but we did not use. Location was perfect for us - walking distances to restaurants. A great place to use as a base when travelling.

Harbour View is the perfect location if you are needing a quiet, convenient place to stay when in Tauranga. The apartment was immaculate. It had two tv's, a couch, lovely beds, large fridge and quaint kitchen. Very good lighting plus convenient power plugs for charging tech devices. Safe parking for the rental car near the reception, with vehicles out of sight from a main road. Very ideal. The waterfront is only a min or two stroll away, there is a seat to enjoy the view. The owner operators were helpful and happy. Lovely apartment interior with a historical exterior.

We stayed in apartment D for two nights and had the most incredible time. The location was fantastic and the photos didn’t do the apartment justice - it was immaculate and had absolutely everything we could need, even a dishwasher and clothes washing and drying facilities! The beds were very comfortable and the blackout blinds worked well. We were sad to have to move on to the next place!

Very nicely renovated 2 bedroom apartment. The whole apartment was absolutely immaculately clean and well presented - check in info was messaged to me and getting in was completely fuss free. Lots of easy parking and lovely location right next to the water.

What can I say, they fit us in last minute literally on our drive and had no where to stay last minute they sent a code and boom a beautifully presented 3 bedroom apartment so clean and tidy literally has everything we needed and more after forgetting the hair dryer from home Thank you guys it has been a pleasure we will for sure be back 😊 kids loved the separate lounge was so peaceful beds bedding pillows comfy as!!

We stayed here for a week in late March/early April 2025. We were in apartment 1, upstairs above reception. It was advertised as a two bedroom apartment, but the main bedroom was also the lounge and dining room, with a separate bedroom with 2 single beds. We were travelling with our 25 year old son who took the single bed in the bedroom. We were able to put our suitcases on the other single bed and use his wardrobe as there was no space in the main bedroom/lounge/dining room for storage or hanging. The kitchen was very small with only two burners, a microwave, and small bar fridge, and only one bathroom and toilet (at the end of the bathroom so can't be used separately). After speaking to hosts Kathie and Bronwyn we were given an opportunity to move to a proper two bedroom apartment with separate lounge/dining area, fully equipped kitchen including oven and dishwasher, and private garden area. However we could only stay there for 4 nights and then would have to move again for the final night due to other bookings. We decided to stay put and make the best of our small space. We all had to go to bed at the same time which we don't usually do! There was a full kitchen downstairs with 6 burners, oven, extensive range of cooking equipment etc and we were given a key when required to access the full kitchen at night when it was usually locked up. We were grateful to be able to use this extensive kitchen space on a couple of nights and ate our dinners in the courtyard on those occasions. There were also free laundry facilities open during the day. There were no real issues with noise apart from on the Saturday night when there was a large group of men who made noise speaking and laughing loudly outside in the carpark until midnight and then again in the early hours of the morning when they returned. But you kind of expect some noise on a Saturday night. Cleaners would come daily to service the apartment, remove rubbish, and change the towels (even if you wanted to re-use them!). The motel is close to the water and my husband and son used the complementary kayaks on a couple of occasions. The location was good and not far to walk into the main shopping and dining area including The Strand but I would certainly try and get the full two bedroom apartment if we were to stay here again with more than just the two of us.

The luxury apartment was wonderful and exactly as described in the listing. Would highly recommend. It was immaculate, well appointed, and had fabulous views. The owner was very service oriented. It was a great stay and we actually hated to leave
