It is a great place to get a good feel of the history of Saudi. Well signposted, with guides assisting you all the way. We really enjoyed it at sunset and after. Once you've spent some time in this historic attraction, there are a number of great restaurants a short walk away.

A Must-Visit Destination in Diriyah! To visit, you need to book tickets online. The ticket, called Diriyah Pass, grants access to both Bujairi Terrace and At-Turaif. The standard ticket price is 50 SAR, but sometimes, entry is free on special occasions like Eid. Parking: • Parking is paid, costing 30 SAR for 3 hours. • Two parking areas are available: Bujairi Parking and Samhan Parking. At-Turaif is a world heritage site protected by UNESCO. It is a perfect place to explore, relax. It’s an excellent spot for families too! Step back in time and explore At-Turaif, the birthplace of the first Saudi state. This UNESCO World Heritage Site showcases stunning Najdi and Islamic architecture, with castles and buildings crafted from mud and palm trunks—a testament to their strength and resilience over the centuries. At the entrance, you’ll be welcomed by Salwa Palace, a grand structure spanning 10,000 m². Built in 1765 AD, this iconic landmark served as the government headquarters during the First Saudi State. The palace consists of seven residential units, thoughtfully designed to accommodate various needs, providing comfort and prestige to its residents and visitors alike. Wander through history, admire the craftsmanship, and experience the legacy of Saudi Arabia’s past. Don’t miss out—enjoy your visit!

Atmospheric and historic place, protected by UNESCO. We visited in the evening and really enjoyed walking around in the cool air surrounded by ancient landmarks. The staff were very hospitable and even helped us pay with a foreign card. A memorable experience!

It’s almost unimaginable how the ancestors of the Arab people survived in such an extremely hot and dry land, with a resilience as tough as camels. But it just goes to show — heaven is fair. In return, these tribes were blessed with oil and wealth. Truly remarkable people, the Arabs.

This historical castle, which is the main center of the establishment of Saudi Arabia, is truly fascinating. Its intertwined architectural structure. The inside of the buildings made of yellow soil looks really cool. It is one of the places you should definitely visit when you come to Riyadh.

I was really amazed by visiting this place. So beautiful and massive historical side of the Riyad city surrounded by the green parks and valleys. It was very interesting tour inside the old city with visiting all the pavilions and galleries. All the information you can find in English and Arabic. The staff is very helpful and hospitable. The atmosphere of the place is so calm- there were no queues, no crowd. And we visited it during Ramadan 2025 (March) so the weather was very good and pleasant to have a long walks.

Exploring the rich history and culture of Turaif Heritage Site was like stepping back in time to the foundation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. From the beautifully preserved mud-brick buildings to the intricate carvings on the doors and windows, every corner told a story of Saudi Arabia's past. Definitely a must-visit for anyone interested in history and heritage! The historical light show telling the story was honestly the highlight of it all 🕌🌿

Amazing place. Other than the spectacularly preserved houses in the village, you can access several beautiful museums located in the village itself! The village is surrounded by a beautiful and peaceful garden with cafes and restaurants. Register online before arriving.
