At Wit's Inn

The house is beautiful and in such an amazing location! You are getting so much more than a place to sleep when you stay here. You're getting a great breakfast and start to your day, a stunning room and view, and advice on what to see in this beautiful city thanks to James, the caretaker/owner! Cannot recommend more!

My husband and I stayed at At Wit's Inn on the last leg of our two week trip to Newfoundland during mid June. We were so impressed with the house. Stately and beautiful and extremely well kept. Our room was very lovely. The washroom was immaculate and the bedroom very clean. Bathrobes were also provided. The bedding appeared to be washed as well as the linens. Breakfast was a treat. Fresh fresh fruit cups, hot and freshly prepared breakfast served with hot rolls and toasts. Everything was delicious and left us feeling that we had been welcomed and ready to embark on our day. We would recommend At Wit's Inn and look forward to returning to the welcome provided by James and his family. Thank you

Few words other than perfect can describe our stay At Wits Inn, in St John’s NL. When you walk in to this beautiful Queen Anne home, it is as though you have been swept back in time. The house has been restored immaculately. A feeling of warmth and coziness envelopes you as soon as you walk in. Our host, communicated wonderfully prior to our stay and greeted us upon arrival. We were handed a parking permit for our vehicle and shown the common areas of the house. We were then brought up to our room, which was beautiful and had everything we needed. Our host made sure we were settled in and gave us his cell number in case we needed anything. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep! The highlight for us was breakfast! Hard boiled eggs, cooked to perfection, homemade breakfast cookies, out of the oven, homemade granola, apricot jam, cereal, toast, coffee, orange & Grape fruit juice, cheeses. James, our host always made sure we had everything we needed. The location of the Inn was perfect, surrounded by cafés and shops and a short walking distance to downtown and convention centre.If you’re in St John’s and looking for a change from hotels, I would highly recommend At Wits Inn! I know we won’t stay anywhere else during our next trips to St John’s

My favourite place to stay in St. John's. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable, and so helpful. The home is beautiful and well kept, located walking distance from shops, hiking trails, and historic sites. Breakfast is fresh and delicious! Seriously recommend.

At Wit's Inn is amazing! The room is incredible and the claw foot bathtub is superb. It's close to everything in St John's. The breakfast was delicious and the host, James, is so great! I only have great things to say about this place!!

Excellent room on the top floor... comfy feather top bed... informative, intelligent, witty hostess, Kate... great breakfast... right downtown... amongst the Jellybean houses... a GREAT experience... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Beautiful bed and breakfast. Lovely hospitality and great attention to detail and quality. It feels like home but is too nice to be true.

Well on one hand I do not want to share the pleasure of this gem, but on the other hand I want to honour the owners. Great place. Friendly. Beautiful house. Comfortable rooms and bed. Great selection for breakfast.
