Atalay's Kebab Van | Thame

The food was good, but the order was completely mishandled—two out of the five items were incorrect, and we didn’t receive what we asked for. The place gets very busy between 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Had to wait about 45 minutes, they do lots of online orders. It's cash-only, but parking is convenient since it's located in a car park. On the bright side, the staff are friendly and welcoming.

We've always loved Atalay but I stopped eating out/getting takeaway after I became gluten intolerant. When we found out they offer gluten free food I was over the moon! We've had it twice since and it's even more heavenly than I remember! The customer service is excellent and the food is phenomenal! I highly recommend.

The food itself is really really tasty and the queue was long for all the right reasons. The crew working hard to smash out the orders created a good atmosphere. The only reason I am giving this place a 4 is because of the size of a large mixed kebab. It is simply to small for £12+ please see photo.

Simple Menu but the quality is awesome. I travel from West London couple of times a week with friends and family, and do takeaways for work colleagues.. we all love quality of their food. I do take Doner Meat home and create my own version of Doner Meat Masala and it tastes so good So yummy looking like a wow..🤩 Customer Service absolutely fantastic and so polite. I am their regular customer. Thank you Atalay for feeding us. One little suggestion if you could add Gluten Free wrap that will be awesome for us. See you shortly Harry.

Food is excellent (10/10) , as are the staff (could not be nicer) but ordering process is a disaster (1/10) - when busy they close the app (why???) and don't answer the phone (why???). Shame as let's the whole thing down. Owner should address as 2 people gave up waiting and asked for refund or walked away (over 1 hour 15 min wait) whilst I was there

Overall the food is great and the staff are friendly. But there’s something with the service that isn’t quite right, I feel the prices are just a bit too much(I don’t think you should be paying more than £9 for a large kebab). It’s 20:12 in the evening and I’ve just paid for a large doner and been told I have to wait 45 minutes?! That’s an absurd amount of time to wait for one singular doner kebab from a van. The reason behind it is because they seem to do a phone order service but when you search online there’s no mention of this let alone a number to phone. Sort it out lads. Those awards that you won 4 years ago have gone to your heads.

Food is great the main problem is the favouritism others get if they’re mates of whoever’s working, seeing someone get an order from scratch and free doner samples in 15 mins when you ordered 45 mins ago is a bit of a kick in the teeth. Felt I got done a bit light on the meat in my order but that’s not usually a problem. Overall I only felt inclined to review because of my mediocre experience compared to my usual good service.
