Atalay's Kebab Van | Thame

The food itself is really really tasty and the queue was long for all the right reasons. The crew working hard to smash out the orders created a good atmosphere. The only reason I am giving this place a 4 is because of the size of a large mixed kebab. It is simply to small for £12+ please see photo.

I have been here two days running due to the amazing food and fresh ingredients but also the personable service. They have absolutely gotten it right with the service even with being takeaway food you still have a service delivered and it feel personal. The food I can’t fault it tastes fresh and vibrate flavours. Honestly the best kebab I have ever had!

Simple Menu but the quality is awesome. I travel from West London couple of times a week with friends and family, and do takeaways for work colleagues.. we all love quality of their food. I do take Doner Meat home and create my own version of Doner Meat Masala and it tastes so good So yummy looking like a wow..🤩 Customer Service absolutely fantastic and so polite. I am their regular customer. Thank you Atalay for feeding us. One little suggestion if you could add Gluten Free wrap that will be awesome for us. See you shortly Harry.

Reason for 3 starts! Small portions what I thought should be a large I was totally wrong. Ordered two chips one regular and one large both came in the same size box and literally look identical. Now I ordered a large kebab and the box was size of my hand like over £10 for something that size it’s a joke yes I can tell the meats fresh and the salad was too that’s enjoyable there but come on size up your portions a bit more I would rather pay £15 for decent portions then have a box no bigger than my hand given to use all wrapped up in paper to make it look big now not being greedy or anything but hard working man that does some grafting deserves something a bit better than that. Award winning kebab van that’s a joke only thing saving you is the freshness of it but wait I can save the half hour drive and go my local one and get the exact same for the same price still fresh but better portion

So where do I start about this “award winning kebab van”. So waited over an hour for 2 chicken kebabs n chips which were mediocre at very best..even goes as far as poor if I’m honest. Hardly no body in the queue when I got there yet they seemed to priorities online orders over those stood waiting in person. So let’s get on to the food. Literally 6 bits of chicken for a “large kebab”that was really dry.Garlic mayo that tasted like Helmans and no garlic involved. Salad that was limp n chilli sauce at push tasted ok. I highly recommend the people from thane broaden there taste buds and try venturing outside of the area n try some propers kebabs, promise you there’s better places. All the hype about this place is a myth and think there kebab bubble has been popped…oh and another thing, no cutlery or napkins added when ordering a takeaway!?!??

Didn't buy anything. Travelled specifically to buy but prices are way too high. Over £10 for a kebab and £2.70 for chips. Bought FOUR quaterpound burgers from the butchers for less than £8.

Why must all things come to an end. why must pleasantries fail. the happy times of life will always end in sadness, but that is precisely why, precisely why we must savour them, as I will savour this last slice. Amen
