"The Last Pintxo Everyone knows a pintxo hop is a must-do in San Sebastián . What everyone doesn't know is that Atari Gastroteka, located in the shadows of the old town's beautiful Santa Maria church, is the perfect last stop on the tour. Their artisan foie is slightly sweet and incredibly flavorful, lightly sprinkled with cracked black pepper and sea salt, and served on raisin toast. Paired with a gin and tonic (some of the city's best), it's your ideal transition into postprandial nightlife. And Atari also has dessert pintxos for those in your group who want to end on a sweet note."

We came here for the octopus as we heard it was one of the best places to get it in San Sebastián and it definitely did not disappoint! The portion size was huge (enough for two to share) and it was delicious. Wish I lived nearby! The pintxos were also great.

Always a favorite when we visit San Sebastián. The pork belly with hummus is a stand out along with the beef Cheek but honestly, everything on the menu along with the pinxtos are excellent. Fun to sit outside next to the church and watch the tourist chaos.

Booked here to gently get into the Pinxtos/bar crawl vibe. Rare a place takes bookings but with older relatives was a great way for them to dip their toes into San Sebastián food culture. Really good food and service.

Busy place but totally worth the wait (or the inconvenience of eating on the steps of the church in front as that seems to be customary!). First night in San Sebastian and we ended up here based on blog recommendations. Place was packed, we tried to make a reservation for the next day but the next available was a week out (so plan accordingly). We started ordering (and eating) at the bar, followed by sitting and eating at the steps of the church, and lastly sitting at a table! Well, after all they are mostly small plates (pintxos) which you finish fairly quick. The grilled octopus (available only in a regular Portion size) was so tender it didn't feel like octupus at all. The Beef Cheeks (Carrillera) were also spectacular, highly recommended, as it was the slowed cooked Pork Belly (Panceta). Despite being busy and crowded at times, this is a high quality place which I'm looking forward to visit again.

Loved it!!! We had a reservation (so had a table) which I would recommend. Great selection on the menu and the staff are so nice. We asked for recommendations on pinxtos and were not disappointed…pork and cod pils pils but you can’t look past the txuleta for mains! Perfect, phenomenal steak. We had a local Tempranillo crianza

So glad I came here!! Service was great and we managed to snag the last table. We ordered quite a bit: tuna anchovies and green peppers, jamon croquettes, beef cheeks with mash potatoes, grilled foie gras with white chocolate, bao bun, cheese ice cream with red fruits, French toast with vanilla ice cream. Must get the beef cheeks! So soft and tender and delicious. The foie gras with white chocolate was mind blowing! Who knew this combo would work? Both desserts are a must! I still dream about the cheese ice cream, it was incredible!! And who doesn’t love a hot French toast with the coldness of vanilla ice cream? Also don’t skip out on the gin and tonic! No joke one of the best I’ve ever had

I came to have some food as lunch but the kitchen was closed so I tried several of their tapas and all were tasty, I will get back there to taste their food as well. I came back and I had grilled octopus, beef cheek and slow cooked eggs, all were tasty specially slow cooked eggs was something different and tasty. If I come back to San Sebastian I will definitely will go back here.

What an amazing evening. The steak, red peppers and salad were incredible. (Literally have never had better peppers). But it wouldn’t have been possible without bartender Sebastian finding us a last minute table admist a bank holiday rush. He was attentive, made great recommendations and handed us off to our server Kata who provided warm and attentive service. And what a view of the cathedral. The people along the steps enjoying their wine and pintxos made for a perfect ambiance. I highly recommend getting a reservation!
