Atavus Priorat

This was one of the greatest winery experiences we ever had. The place exhales art and sophistication, still maintaining a familiar and welcoming environment. Marc who guided through this amazing experience was a gentleman, very knowledgeable, always talking with passion, also a great human. In addition to that the wine was fabulous, everything we tried was top notch, you can easily notice it was produced with love and care.

Paloma and James are kind, friendly and knowledgeable hosts; they made me feel at home when visiting Atavus. Their selection of wines is excellent, and the views over the Priorat hills are amazing. The bar is great for switching off while enjoying wine and food. All in all, I highly recommend this spot.

Cannot say enough amazing things about Atavus Priorat! From the moment we drove onto the property, our lovely host James was waiting for us with a smile and we felt so welcomed. The story he told with each wine made the tasting experience that much better and the small snacks included with the tasting were great. And oh my gosh the views!! 11/10!

As a tourist a few years back, I got to experience the amazing organic and biodynamic wines of this winery and was simply left speechless as to how elegant and clean these wines are. Forward a couple of years after the pandemic, the move to Spain and to the region proved how Priorat has a hidden gem in its midst. Paloma’s vision and creation of both Priorat & Montsant wines will leave a lasting impression. And now with the new tasting room - we have the options of a few tasting sessions and visits… or even to have a snack and enjoy a glass of wine while enjoying the breathtaking views of the surroundings. The wine and gift shop has some amazing products .. some great deals only exclusive at the shop too. Great service .. from the heart. Definitely worth visiting when in Priorat - think of it as your second home ❤️

Today we went to Atavus in Gratallops to visit the winery for the first time. We had already met Paloma last year at a winetasting in Belgium. We then fell in love with the new orange wine 'Naranjo', so that's why we decided to visit Atavus. What a wonderful and beautiful place! We had our wine tasting with the wonderful James and he learned us a lot about the region and the wines. We stayed there for about 4 hours and had amazing wines and great food. Time very well spent! We will definitely come back again! Tip: try the wine "Naranjo", best orange wine we ever drank! Big plus: our dog was very welcome and also loved it!

We had a unique experience in Priorat. James, our guide, patiently told us about the history of the place, wine tradition, types of grapes and how the wines are carefully made. We tasted 9 local wines, ate very well and enjoyed the silence of the place. I definitely recommend visit this amazing place. Thank you! 🙏

An amazing experience to participate wine tasting to learn about the characteristics of Monsant and Priorat by comparison! The sommelier has a great knowledge of the region, wine and friendly but very professional. Thank you for making out visit so memorable.

Sonya and Joseph were really great hosts! I was a bit sceptical about biodynamic. But the tour was really self-explaining and wines answered themselves my questions. Nice style! Elegant, terroir respecting, not overloaded with oak. And yes amphora syrah is a masterpiece! Thank you so much for your passion around the message of your wines. It works! And you really do believe on what you are saying and your wines are saying!!! Strongly recommend the place.
