Atelerie

Atelerie is such a special experience - I always make a point to visit whenever I am on the island. While I don't have a large budget and could see how some may be intimidated by the sheer beauty of the store itself and its gorgeous, well-curated offerings, I have always found something unique and special to buy at every price point. The staff has always welcomed me with a warm smile and been very helpful. What a treasure- I always recommend this shop to friends who visit the island!

Atelerie is by far Bermudas #1 boutique shopping destination. With an exquisitely curated range of fine clothing, jewelry, gifts and beauty essentials. I always find the sales attendants to be incredibly knowledgeable about their products and helpful too! Don’t miss their special section for organic chocolates, celebration cards, party accessories and (my favorite) yearly calendars.

If I could put no stars I would. Every time we come into this store, nobody even makes an effort to help us. In fact, I went with my mother and sister to exchange something, and the cashier in the bottom section of the store looked at us, said hi, and went to play on her iPad. Didn't even ask if we needed help. So, we went upstairs to try to find something that would match the price of the things we were returning ($52 each) and finally a lady asked us if we needed help. We explain what needed to be returned, and the lady said (with much attitude) "Oh, we don't accept returns on x and y." Well they could have told that to who bought the items for us (we already had what she gave us so we had to go and return the gifts.) As we walked out, we of course said how unhelpful the store is every time we're there (we don't go in there unless we MUST) and the lady on the lower level watched us walk out the door and when we were out of earshot I watched her make a comment with a face full of attitude. I don't know if it's a status thing or WHAT, but apparently we're not worthy of good customer service from them. Not to mention, everything in there is wildly overpriced. Oh well. They still have their regulars to spend thousands there. Not us though.

Be careful shopping here as I witnessed a scene where they charged an item at a higher price than the price tag and wouldn’t honor the price on the price tag. I overheard a customer questioning a charge; the sales clerk didn’t want to deal with it saying something like “So you don’t want the item? Customer: “I want the item but at the price you have on the price tag”. The customer asked to get the manager for resolution who came and then the owner and not one of them would honor the price on the price tag. They made the customer feel like they were asking for something they weren’t entitled to. It was disgusting and only for a few dollars. In the end the customer asked for their money back and even that was a hassle for the customer. I don’t recall overhearing anyone from the store say “I’m sorry”. This bait and switch seems to happen a lot in Bermuda these days (illegal in some countries but whatever seems to go in Bermuda!) It made me walk right out and keep walking. Horrible customer service from 3 people on the staff, including the owner.

This is a wonderful upscale boutique clothing store with fantastic customer service that is the preferred choice of many women on the island. On the other hand, many men on the island suffer PTSD upon discovering that a substantial portion of their paycheck is spent here.

Came across Atelerie on a vacation to Bermuda. Great store with beautiful clothing! Looking forward to my next trip!

Beautiful boutique with the best selection of clothing and jewelry on the island! It’s almost impossible to visit the store without buying something, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.
