On the Grid : Totokaelo

"They can’t help but treat clothes as art. With just the right mix of haute fashion that you’re a little afraid to touch, and great everyday pieces by ultra cool designers like Rachel Comey and ACNE, Totokaelo’s clothes are second only to their space. Set up like a museum with expansive white space and lots of light, the whole place turns shopping into an event." - Hum Creative

Best men’s designer selection in Seattle. Customer service is good, they are helpful and not all up on you. Their sale prices are amazing! God an amazing coat there. Josh is very helpful and knowledgeable so is the tall guy and the guy with round glasses, in fact they are all pretty cool. I’ve been there many times and only ever once had a mildly negative experience returning something but I’m calling that an outlier experience cause every other time it’s been great. Also, they always compliments me on my outfits which feels cute. Good shop and good people.

Super cool place to come shop. They gave me a great deal on an undercover jacket, and The staff member I talked to was very professional and helpful. They have a lot of awesome pieces that you won’t find in Seattle normally. Def recommend.

My friend and I decided to visit the shop just to admire the Rick Owens Athena gown, it’s a one shoulder sequinned stretch denim floor length dress… that we saw from the magazine in the bookstore next to Atelier. Then I saw a Kiko Kostadinov solon single breasted coat, I did try it on just for the experience. The stylists are nice and friendly, it’s more of a relax environment, it’s feels like you’re in a museum looking at artworks. I did end up with a bottle of perfume, and on my second visit I got a nice pair of boots.. Will definitely visit soon for a pair of geobaskets maybe…

Me and my friend was very delighted when they open Atelier in Capitol Hill (Seattle ). It is the closest curated shop from the iconic Barneys New York that I Love. The ambiance of the store is very chic and relaxing.I recently purchased my Bottega Veneta cassette bag here. Customer service is great, since then we often visit and check selected pieces that you wont be able to find in a regular retail shop. Reed and his team is very accommodating in showing us their products.

The store is breathtaking. They have thoughtfully chosen collections. I went shopping for my son's birthday. I can assure I was not dressed to be shopping there. They made me feel absolutely comfortable. They were helpful, not hovering. Locking the doors keeps the employees safe. Glad they do it. It also keeps customers safe.

Yelp
I was trying to give the benefit of the doubt from all the reviews I have read before making a purchase which got cancelled. I purchased a pair or Rick Owen's Vintage Sneakers on the website. Before I purchased the shoe I contacted the Seattle store to confirm that the pair that was available online was available for purchase. The salesman I spoke with confirmed that the Seattle store has this shoe and size in stock. I even asked about shipping to California and the salesman said that it will be faster to be shipped because I am located on the west coast. The purchase took place on a Sunday. I received a confirmation email but no other updates. Fast forward to end of day Wednesday I contacted the store because on the website it states that they need 48 hours to process the order. I called the store to see if they had any updates. The salesman who answered the phone asked for my order number and placed me on hold, he then told me that I will be receiving an update in the next couple hours about my order. I received a notification that my order had been cancelled and refunded. What I am trying to figure out is; I called for confirmation before I ordered, I patiently waited 72 hours for the update when their policy said give 48 hours to process. If I didn't contact them for an update would they have updated me? I really tried to be understanding but the customer service experience just wasn't there especially if you are spending $970 they hit me with a sorry but we have discrepancies with our stock. I would have understood if they updated me as soon as they found out they didn't have the shoe and size in stock. I had to do my due diligence to find out what was the update. At the end of the day the Atelier New York store reviews are what they are for a reason I'm just adding the truth of my experience for the Seattle store.
