Ateliers Marcel Carbonel - Santons & Art de vivre Provençal

During my annual trip to Marseille I always go to the shop of Marcel Carbonel and this year to my biggest surprise I was not disappointed with the newly refurbished shop and workshop ! The boutique Looks amazing, very modern and all the santons (clay figurines) are visible and you can appreciate through the glass doors, the atelier workshop where the artisans work to create these beautiful art pieces. I loved the friendly dynamic staff too !!!

We visited the shop accidentally! Alex explained us the history behind the figures and the workshop place! Finally we end up buying a figure cause we really liked the atmosphere he created! Thank you Alex!

Beautifuly renovated shop! Amazing traditional craftsmanship all done in house. On Wednesdays you are actually allowed to go watch the little saints being made, moulded and painted. Definitely worth a visit!!!

Amazing! Everything is so beautiful! The workmanship is fantastic! We were helped by Annabelle and she was so nice, helpful, and friendly despite the chaos of our large group!

So beautiful and peaceful in the workshop. You can see the craftsmen at work. And of course you can buy directly from the workshop :-)

Grand fan des santons Marcel Carbonel depuis de nombreuses années, j'ai reçu la semaine dernière ma dernière commande. Toujours expédiée avec la plus grande rapidité et emballée avec soin. Malheureusement j'ai constaté une petite erreur de préparation dans ma livraison. J'ai aussitôt contacter le service clients et l'erreur a été réparée en moins d'une semaine. Bravo ! En plus d'une qualité de produits irréprochable, un service clients au top. Sans oublié le personnel que j'ai déjà rencontré dans l'atelier qui prodigue de précieux conseils.

Accueil formidable. Sujet peints avec finesse et couleurs fantastiques. Je recommande de faire un détour pour voir ce magasin. Atelier et fabrication manuelle made in Marseille juste à côté.
