Fantastic hotel - this was our third consecyear visintg at christmas for a week. Staff are extremely attentive, brilliant service in all areas of the hotel. Lovely warm indoor pool. Spacious rooms which are clean and comfortable. Upper corridors to rooms and buffet breakfast restaurant a little dated in decor but clean. The main reception area/lobby is spacious and bright, table service for drinks from waiters in both bars and lobby. ||Beautiful decorations for Christmas and fantastic experience of meeting father Christmas on the swimming pool island (before the storm!) on Christmas day with complimentary hot chocolate, eggnog, mulled wine and sparkling wine. Wide range of activities (darts, table tennis, indoor crafts, bowls, we didnt participate but the options were there). My son thoroughly enjoyed the mini golf and shuffleboard competitions - the activities staff (one man in particular - young, tall and always wore a black hoodie and shorts) was excellent with children and my 5 year old loved him - dishing out high 5s whenever we saw him around thr hotel and organised team shuffleboard and mini golf with prizes. Have never been in thr summer but am sure it would be a great holiday, gorgeous setting, great food (we were B&B but ate in the hotel Christmas eve and Christmas day night and several lunches throughout the week), attentive staff and a lovely break all in. Would defirecommend. Conveniently located close to the harbour, 30mins bus journey to the zoo and walking distance to several bars and restaurants (although not all open as out of season but still enough to eat somewhere different every evening for a week).

We have had a lovely time at this hotel. Food was excellent, we tried the Al carte restaurant which was very nice and with having the elite class we could have gone every night, but we found the buffet suited us with its vast choice. Rooms and balconies were lovely, housekeeping very good. Bar service was excellent Violetta in the Nectar Bar looked after us so well, entertainment was really good too. Anna at guest relations checked us in on arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. Location of this hotel is good as you can go for nice walks to the harbour. We will definitely be back to this hotel.

Lovely hotel with helpful, friendly staff. The rooms were large and comfortable with good beds. The breakfast was great, and the selection was huge - my omelette guy was on point! I was there in mid-March, so even though it was hot, the pool was freezing, but it looked amazing and would be perfect in the summer. Being a solo, male traveller, l got challenged by security a couple of times in my first couple of days, but l don't mind that at all, and the guys were super friendly after that once they got to know me.|Would definitely recommend.

Had an amazing time! Rooms were average, but saying that you hardly spend time in your room. Food was more and less the same every night. Good selection of all-inclusive drinks and food packages. All the staff were brilliant and the Entertainment was excellent considering the time of year when it wasn't as busy! Luke, Laura, Angi, Djzaia, AND not forgetting Memo "who loves his job" made my birthday and son's birthday very special! Made a great effort with involving all the guests to participate in all quizzes and performances.........won champagne and wine bottles almost every night lol......Would definitely recommend and visit it again!

We loved all the activities you had to offer which made our holiday! Would love to visit again in the summer when more events are going on as they kept as so busy and we really enjoyed it! Thanks again for going above and beyond to make our holiday extra special!

I had the pleasure of staying here for three glorious nights in December, and it was an experience to remember. The hotel truly felt special to us all, from the exceptional variety of the buffet and menu—perfect for vegetarians—to the incredibly comfortable beds and those pillows... wow!||The service and hospitality were nothing short of brilliant, and I can already see myself returning for a longer stay in the future. A truly wonderful place that made our conference unforgettable.

I have always used these reviews when deciding on my choice of hotel and often take them with a pinch of salt as people’s expectations can vary so much. They do prove useful and hence I feel it only fair I add to the library. ||We have just returned from 21 nights at the Athena Beach Hotel in Paphos Cyprus and for the third year running can confirm that you will not be disappointed spending a holiday here. |The outdoor pools were a tad too cold to use but it was December we visited. The indoor pool was an adequate size and was lovely and warm.|We stayed on an all-inclusive basis with many branded drinks available. All drinks were from the waiter service (ie no self service). Waiter service was excellent except during Christmas week when a few more staff would have helped.|Food in the buffet restaurant was again excellent with plenty of choice each night. There is a large selection of foods available. In 2022 my trip advisor review for this hotel stated that too many of the salads (salmon, tuna, egg etc) contained peppers to which I am allergic however in 2023 there were not as many. Unfortunately, this year virtually every salad contained red or green peppers which restricted my choice of food however, I did not starve and no one will at this hotel. Since arriving home I have written to the hotel and they have promised to review this.|As part of the all-inclusive package we were able to dine in the Al La Carte restaurants twice a week. The service and food can only be classed as exceptional. Special thanks to Mammoud & Panikas for looking after us.|On Christmas Eve we attended the Gala Dinner with live music, everything was again exceptional. On Christmas Day Santa visited and everyone received a present. There was entertainment and food & drink goodies to enjoy prior to a Christmas Day Lunch. ||All staff were fantastic, really friendly. The animation team tried to organise events during the day but there was not much take up. We attended the Casino night but left after 20 minutes as we could not get near a table to play and there was no one assisting guests in this respect.||The hotel was spotless and there were always cleaners on hand to clear up any mess made by guests|Our room was always very clean and a good size, lovely comfortable double bed, plenty of coat hangers, and soaps and shampoos etc regularly replaced. Plenty of beach towels provided. Plenty of drawer space. Free safe. We were on the 3rd floor where rooms have a shower over the bath.||Evening entertainment consisted of live music in one of the bars. During our first 2 weeks the hotel was relatively quiet so the music bar was spacious, however, around Christmas the room was crowded with seats hard to find and as a result too warm. There was a different act on every night (repeated every week) and they all tried to provide a great evening, however as we were there for over 3 weeks we saw each act 3 or 4 times. Have to say that the Rod Stewart and Elvis tributes were outstanding and there was a little more variety in the other acts than in previous years. ||For December the weather was exceptional for 2 out of 3 weeks of our stay. Christmas week was a bit wet but in December you cant complain too much.||Not too much beach here and if you do venture into the water its rather rocky. |We played Green Bowls most mornings and whilst it was a little disappointing that this was not included in the All Inclusive the facilities are excellent. The cost remained as last year at 5 Euros for a two hour session (can be split into 2 x 1 hour) or a weekly ticket costing 26 euros. On one day we bowled for 80 minutes then got rained off so we lost 40 minutes of the time we paid for which was a shame. The costs are added to your hotel bill except for one’s last day when one pays in cash.|For anyone going to the hotel specifically for bowling there are weeks when one cannot bowl because of organised competitions but this is not obvious when booking.|There were a few children around in Christmas week but they were not a problem.|To finish the Positives are|1. Fantastic, clean hotel with friendly staff|2. Lovely indoor pool|3. Great variety of food in the restaurants and an Al La Carte experience that’s leaves one more that satisfied until breakfast and beyond.|4. Great Bowling Green|5. Free Safe in Room|6. Scales in the room. We were on all inclusive so the temptation is to over indulge. The scales proved useful in monitoring our weight and now back home we don’t need to go on a crash diet but do need to lose some weight lol.|7. Scales in the luggage room so no surprises at the airport.|8. No shortage of clean beach towels.|9. Outside Bar near sunbeds|The Negatives – Very hard to find anything however to provide a balanced review we point out the following: -|1. Entertainment needs bigger space when hotel full.|2. Would have liked an area to play cards or board games in the evenings as leaning over the coffee table in the lounge was uncomfortable. |3. Red & Green Peppers in salads. |Paphos itself was not busy and we often went on walks and hardly saw a sole however that was perfect for us as we wanted a quiet relaxing holiday away from crowds. | |Was it a great holiday – No it was a FANTASTIC holiday. Would I recommend – Yes. It’s a lovely friendly hotel although when full in the summer I think it will probably be too busy and with too many children around for us. Book it with confidence. Hopefully we will be booking for next year, |Stayed 6 Dec 2024 to 27 Dec 2024, travelled as a couple

We have just returned from our works conference held here. The amount of effort the staff put into our stay was amazing, food variety and cocktails were exceptional. Rooms were spacious and clean. Lovely adults only, Modern interior and exterior right along the sea front, with the marina just a short 25 minute walk away.
