Athenree Hot Springs & Holiday Park

The host was amazing, making amendments to dates and sites. I was so grateful. The gas dryer was a curious experience. The pools and water were lovely. Thank you for making my long weekend memorable. I enjoyed camping with friends and made new ones too.

Amazing campground. Family friendly and super safe. Having a hot pool made this accommodation a year round favorite for us and we'll definitely be back. The facilities are so clean and everything is well cared for. With the playground across the road and shops 20 minutes away, Athenree ticks all the boxes. Can't believe we haven't discovered this sooner.

Amazing experience. The cleanest camp site, we have been to. The staff were incredible, with changing of dates, and requirements. We will definitely be back. Kids and adults loved the pools. The communal BBQ and pizza oven, is a great touch.

Exceptional campground. Everything so clean & efficient. Deluxe cabin is so Great for a family with private lawn area, hob & fridge/freezer. Good shower/water pressure. Comfy beds. Great hot chips too! Natural Pools are just the icing on cake! Kids love it

Best campground in the bay. Everything is so clean and tidy. Old school campground with thermal hot pools on site. Super friendly staff. Great combination of cabins and sites. New pizza oven this year so there is now 2. And a great covered dining area with a number of bbqs.

This location is magical ! We arrived with our little dog and RV and spent two wonderful days. The owners run an ultra clean camping ground ( always running around and picking up tiny bits of paper) the hot pools are first class and there’s even kayaks to use in the shallow lagoon across the road. It’s sooooo quiet at the end of the road yet Wahi Beach and Wahi are not far away.

This would be one of the best Holiday/ Motor Parks I have ever been too in NZ. Cleanliness and neatness and also hygiene is a priority judging by what we have seen and experienced. We stayed in our motorhome and even added on another four nights. Our small dogs also enjoyed the walks along the foreshore of Tauranga Harbour. A really beautiful holiday was enjoyed by us all. Stayed in our caravan on site 24. Love this place! This is the 5th time we have been back. Staff are super friendly, place is lovely and clean, location is awesome. We just love it and we will be back. The best part was the view of the estuary from our caravan window every morning, with a coffee. Make sure you park to take in the view!
