The Table @ Athens Cooks

Athens Cooks is one of my favorite shops/restaurants in town. I always find gifts there for everyone. The pricing is very reasonable and comparable with online shops. Plus, they serve amazing sandwiches, soups, tea & coffee. In fact, one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had came from Athens Cooks! The service and food has always been superb, the portions are nice-sized, and everything is well-seasoned.

10/10 Amazing customer service super friendly. Cool supply store to just walk around and admire all the cookware. Had the avocado toast and it blew me away. Mexican mocha 10/10 not too sweet, great flavor. Grilled sourdough was nice and toasty. Egg was cooked perfectly It was topped with this mild hot sauce I’m not a saucey person and it was amazing. Can’t wait to try more on the menu!!

First off I want to say the food is okay, however there have been multiple instances where I’ve come to eat and gotten horrible service, food that’s come out almost an hour after I ordered, and wrong food. I ordered a meal with regular chips and was given sweet potato chips and when I made a complaint I was told they don’t have regular chips and that’s all they had. That’s fine but when I ordered the food I should’ve been told upfront they didn’t have regular chips even though my friend at the same table got regular chips? Whenever I voiced my complaints about my food being so late I felt there was attitude given to me. Once again normally not a huge deal that my food took a while except my friend received their food 10 minutes after ordering while it took me 45 minutes (for a Caesar salad wrap mind you). I just wish I was offered literally anything in compensation for a lunch that wasn’t good, wasn’t right, and wasted my time.

My company scheduled a cooking class here and it was such a fun time! We learned how to make our very own pasta noodles and sauce. We got to take home our pasta noodles that we made which I thought was pretty cool! The staff was very nice and accommodating to our group, the teacher was very knowledgeable on everything and made sure that we had the best time. I would highly recommend trying out one of their cooking classes. Not only was it a blast the food was absolutely delicious!! The inside is very clean and beautiful as well!

I have heard about this store/restaurant for several years and finally made it there today. Such a hidden jewel in Athens! Food was outstanding and fresh, employees were very kind and helpful, and the store is a hidden treasure of goodies for your kitchen. I sat at the community table and now have several new friends that invited me to eat with them every Friday. Easy free parking.

Food is freshly prepared and service is pleasant. However, sandwich prices are a bit steep considering the serving sizes.

Used to love bringing people here for lunch, but they recently scrubbed every vegan lunch option from the menu! There is a vegan avocado toast for breakfast but they weren’t willing to make it since it was after 11:00 so I left empty handed. Their lattes are great, and the shopping is fun, but the vegan options for lunch are disappointing, given they used to have some.

Best coffee in Athens and I absolutely love the Caesar wrap! I love the atmosphere. Do note you can't have a computer out after a certain time if you are planning on it

The food was good. I got the chicken Caesar wrap. It's a good option for Athens but i definitely know there are better out in the world. It's not chopped on the inside and skimpy on lettuce. No croutons in it either. Overall, food was good but the workers were so odd. I stood at the counter and three workers were standing back there but not taking the initiative to take my order. They were being so awkward too. It was so odd and something I've never really experienced lol. Probably won't be back due to unhelpful staff.

Athens cooks is a hidden gem lunch spot in Athens. They have delicious food, great kitchen shopping, and I've heard great classes! I'm hoping to get a date night in soon at one of their cooking classes. A friends took me here for lunch a few months ago and I haven't stopped raving about it since. I wish they were open for dinner!

(This is not a sandwich review as I have not tried the sandwiches lol) OMG!!! We have never been in here and boy was it shocking and overwhelming......in a good way. I got to see a beautiful soul that I haven't seen in a while (go check out anything beautiful and sweet and she probably made it. Her name is Megan and she is amazing!!!) Back to Athens Cooks. lol We loved looking at all the stuff. There is literally every gourmet cooking device you can imagine in this tiny lil shop. We didn't eat! We will definitely be back to eat and buy stuff! Just stopped in for a coffee and check it out. I had salted caramel "special" and the hubs had the Mexican Mocha. Mine was good but his was unbelievably delicious!!!! Spicy, cinnamony, dark and cozy. We will definitely be back for the coffee, as well as to try everything else, especially the desserts!!! Go see my friend and enjoy some heavenly sweets and the super comforting coffees and teas!!!!

Most amazing granola yogurt bowl! Bagels are excellent as well. Will be back for lunch.

Chicken Caesar wrap was delicious! Coffee selection was great and had lots of latte flavors to choose from too.

Athens Cooks sells cookware, serves food, and offers cooking classes. I got almost all my Christmas gifts from Athens Cooks this year. The blueberry scone was delicious. The Mexican Mocha is really good--balanced sweet and spicy. The space itself gets tons of natural light. It is slightly crammed inside because they just have one big (gorgeous) wood table, but they have tables outside, as well. The staff is really friendly.

Cooking classes and cooking and kitchen supplies and accessories are amazing and the breakfast and lunch is outstanding...especially at the quaint storefront sidewalk seating.

Their sandwiches are crazy good every time. Ordered online and somehow switched up my order or maybe I messed something up who knows. I called right away and apparently called the wrong number but the lady was very kind and told me she'd also try to let them know to change out my order. Ended up calling the right number and there was no answer and wasn't confident it was even connected. Went in the store and they were packed and I didn't really care what sandwich they gave me at that point--was gonna take whatever I could get but they did manage to somehow correct it which was very nice. They get busy so this place can take a long time but well worth the wait.

I was looking for spice jars when I found this awesome kitchen/cooking school/kitchen shop. They had an option I hadn't even thought of! All the rest of the shop was loaded with upscale, beautiful kitchen supplies that could've have resulted in big trouble in little china for me. But what was really cool was they were getting prepped for a wild game cooking class that evening. I've taken part in group cooking classes before and I have to say this place does it right and I will be booking one in the future.

Incredible food and wonderful people, and they have a great variety of cooking classes if you're looking to learn something new!

I honestly can't say enough about this store! My husband is a cook and my mom and I went there specifically for some bakeware. The moment we went in, the customer service was so amazing. Courtney and Grady are the nicest people. We have bought really cool items from there and had our knives sharpened there at a great price. I always recommend it. And you can shop with a glass of wine and eat lunch while you are there. Honestly, this is somewhere to definitely go to! Perfect for some early Christmas shopping. OH - the dogs are the cutest addition! See you soon!!!

all coffee syrups are made in house with natural ingredients!! the breakfast burrito was probably the best thing i've ever eaten. the menu wasn't limited and there's options for both breakfast and lunch. the staff was super nice too, they refilled my water and treated me with so much kindness. i will definitely try out the cooking classes here next time. they said they had done a harry potter one the night before which is awesome. there's also a lot of kitchen appliances for sale.
