Athens Quinta - Hostel

Great place. Nice people. Nice decor. But.... BED BUGS!! We were there a week ago, and had a good time at the hostel. But around the last day and after we got back, I started having weird bite marks over my body. After investigation, I firmly believe they're bed bug bites (especially since they take 1-7 days to show up after being bit). And I possibly brought them back and am loosing money, time and mental peace over this. I lived in the 6 people dorm room on the left side. And slept on the upper bunk bed next to the door. If you stay there thoroughly check for bed bugs and I ask the hostel to do a full investigation and extermination in said room.

I stayed in the private room for 3 nights and had a brilliant sleep each night in a nice cool room with working air conditioning. Staff were friendly, helpful and polite and the location was really convenient for getting back and forward to the main attractions. ||There was quite a lot anti-tourist graffiti in the area but everyone was extremely nice in person and local businesses were happy to serve you in English - something I thought worth mentioning if people researching are hesitant about the Exarchia neighbourhood.

This place is honestly so cute. Great library. Beautiful vintage furniture. Such friendly special guests and such a charming location. Don't think, just book. All hostels should be like this. Such a nice cafe down the road for aperitivo.

Nice location, very cute hostel & amazing staff! Unfortunately if you are a hot sleeper- look elsewhere. The AC was to be adjusted by staff only and was mostly turned off during my time here, so we had to open a window during the night which let in many mosquitos! You also heard anyone in the courtyard on the phone throughout the night, luckily only one night someone stayed up late talking. Breakfast was small but a good way to start the morning! :)

this hostel felt like a breath of fresh air after some of the horrible ones ive been in latley , beds are comfertable , plugs accessable from bed , beds have a comfy duvet ( last hostel i was in gave one single thin white sheet :/ ) they also provided two towels . the bathroom is nice clean and the shower has a bathtub which is lovely for things like shaving legs . also the water pressure on the shower head was so powerful and nice! probably the best water pressure ive ever felt. they provide breakfast until 11 am which is awesome and the options are fairly large. and there is a lovely backyard with sitting areas. very glad i chose to stay at this hostel!

I was sent text with code while I was in flight so arriving in Athens I had no internet availability. Reservation had been made 2 weeks before. Cleaning lady does a fab job, she makes your bed each day even. Very nice. They have thought of having everything a person needs. About 45 min. Walk to center.

I'm running out of words to recommend this place. It's located in a quiet shaded walking street, in a lively (albeit not beautiful) neighbourhood full of shops and restaurants. All rooms are lovely, comfortable, clean, and nicely arranged with "real" furniture that make it feel homy - and several have access to a terrace or a balcony, or at least plants outside the window. It feels like being at home, if your home is a beautiful, well kept, colourful city house haven, with a tiled green patio, and a friendly team to help with everything. If I come back to Athens, I will stay nowhere else.||Nearby recommendations for Specialty coffee enthusiasts: "Taf" and "Motiv" on Emmanouil Benaki Street. (walking distance)

Very clean accommodation with a big private room that I stayed in. Vintage and quirky decor, but the in the courtyard furniture is old. The armoire in the room had a musky smell. Good stay if you’re not a social solo traveler, everyone minds their own business, even the staff. Breakfast is free which is nice, but don’t expect anything great—it’s no frills. Situated in a neighbourhood where locals live and eat out, which I really liked. Away from the super crowded touristy areas (20 mins walk from Monistiraki and Plaka). A bus stop around the corner or a 13 mins walk to the nearest metro. Surrounded by tons of amenities (I needed a pharmacy and coffee shop). Great local restaurants and street foods all around it.
