We had a bad experience here, the place is old, damp and noisy. We decided to stay only one night instead of two. Not recommended.

There are 3 Properties owned by this group and we stayed at The Summit. Be aware that you need to check in at Atherton Blue Gum which is only a couple of driveways down the street.|The Summit is a beautiful house with lovely wrap around verandas. Our suite had 2 bedrooms separated by a large bathroom. It was advertised as 2 x king beds but the second room had 2 x single beds which was fine. You share a huge kitchen and lounge with other guests. Heaps of tourist leaflets in the kitchen and the hosts were helpful with advice on check-in. There is also a pool but we didn’t use it. Breakfast of cereals, juice, toast was supplied as was tea and coffee. Very nice indeed. With all the timber floors it was a little noisy when other guests were moving around. You do have to climb a set of stairs so maybe stay somewhere else if you have mobility issues. There is car parking under the building. We enjoyed our stay but my husband struggled with the stairs.

It’s what you’d expect of a B&B. It was clean and spacious and nicely secluded set up hill. But if you’re planning on cooking I’d think twice, the “kitchen” was equipped rather poorly with two mobile stove tops which had seen better days and the restaurant options near by aren’t really great either. It was all good for a night but I would probably not stay longer. That said, it’s a nice place to get away, just didn’t meet my personal expectations. The self check in was great tho!

Stayed for two nights and woken at 6.45am on a Sunday and 7am on Monday by persistently barking dog right outside window. Dog not owned by owner and instead is owned by tenant upstairs so when the owner was called she said she couldn’t do anything and the dog didn’t like her. In fact she said she started it barking on the Sunday (why???). Said she would speak to tenant but nothing happened. Understand this is a regular thing - and no refund or discount offered. Very very poor. ||Additionally room 2 toilet didn’t flush properly and ants on floor.

This was without doubt the worst experience I have had. The queen bed was like sleeping on concrete. The bunk bed squeaked every time our son moved. We couldn't wait to get out of there next morning.

It was quiet and the common room with tv, own fridge and cooking amenities was excellent. Our room was large and well appointed. We stayed in room 2 for 2 nights but our 3rd night wad in room 4. This room was wasn't as good as the other room, with dated decor and less room for meals and it wad $9 dearer per night. I don't believe this room warranted a higher price.

We were disappointed with this accommodation and should have investigated further before booking. It would be more suited for a family as each room is not soundproofed from the others. The continental breakfast is very limited. One piece of toast bread per person and some cereals with milk, orange drink and tea and coffee. ||We were also disappointed in this day and age that free wi-fi was not provided.

We booked the room last minute, lady on the phone was very nice and helpful. The place is a bit out of town but very clean and spacious - the self check in is very easy however makes you feel a bit unwelcome, there is a family (the owners?) living upstairs and you can hear every single step they take. Might as well come and see that we’re all good? While the form does mention it - check out is at 9:30 which is very early and unusual, probably worth mentioning especially over phone bookings, at 9:35 we already had someone knocking on our door saying “check out is at 9:30”, after we were already out of the room he mentioned he “only needed the linen”, Never been to a place that wants you out of the room so badly. WiFi is also at an extra cost so keep that in mind and make sure you got some data. The suggested included brekkie seems pretty bland, didn’t even touch it, and didn’t really wanna stay any longer after that morning. Def won’t be coming back here.
