Today was my first visit after the store reopened and I was disappointed with my recent visit to Athleta. I had a question about one of the products, and the staff’s response felt dismissive and condescending. They seemed to find my question amusing, which left me feeling unwelcome. I expected a more respectful and supportive environment, especially from a brand that promotes empowerment and inclusion. I hope Athleta addresses this to improve their customer service experience.

Very nice location and clothes are very high quality. Wayy cheaper than lulemon. Employees are very nice! Slightly expensive

Terrible customer service. The manager at this store was unable to simply exchange a jacket. Athleta has lost a customer.

I am an Icon Member with Athleta. I understand their change in the 30 day policy return. Unfortunate, as many, stated in other reviews offer a greater window. It has definitely affected my purchases with Athleta. While other retailers I shop with, including Lululemon, Vuori, and Alo, understand the value of a good customer, one day late, and I’m not able to return in store. More importantly, when I return anything at Kierland Commons in Scottsdale, I get an associate who views me as a nuisance, so much so that I am shopping more at other retailers, as they are friendly and more flexible. I would go so far as to say the sales associates at Kierland can even be rude. This is from a customer who spends thousands of dollars a year with this company. I will start looking elsewhere for my athletic wear. So disappointed as I am a very good customer.

100% agree with other reviewers re the rudeness and snooty attitude of employees at this Kierland Commons Athleta. As with the other shoppers, the employees were not willing to do an exchange for me (a gift item) and offered no options. The next day I was able to return and exchange the gift item at the Athleta GILBERT, AZ store. It took 5 minutes, and it was handled with professionalism and a respectful attitude. Do not bother to give your business to Athleta Kierland in Scottsdale!

This stores customer service representatives are unaccommodating and unhelpful. I attempted to do a return that was one day outside of their very strict 30 day return policy. While I understand policies are in place for a reason I find it shocking that a manager is unable to make an accommodation for a return one day outside of the gift receipt. I have certainly learned my lesson and in the future will not shop here due to the inflexibility and rude sales associates. This may be one of the many reasons gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic are losing millions of dollars each quarter and are forced to close doors. Stores like LuluLemon, Nordstrom and Target that have excellent customer service are flourishing. There is a reason for this.

The customer service at this store is absolutely horrible. I came in to do an even exchange within the 60 day limit and was charged $16 more just because. The only solution was return all the money back to the original card (it was all a gift). I ended up eating the $16 so I could have the right sized clothing. Will NEVER come back to this location as this is not the first bad experience I’ve had here.

Athleta is located in the Kierland Commons Plaza. Athletic carries a great assortment of workout gear for men, women and children. They're also having a sale, especially on skorts. I found a nice fitting skort that I immediately grabbed. This is a good place to find casual shorts, tops, jackets , leggings, and skorts. Shared parking spaces.

Love this brand in Houston so thought would check out their store in Scottsdale since was close to our AC Hotel. Love that it was walking distance from our hotel with many cool restaurants and shops in the area. It was my 2nd time visiting the store and had the same customer experience of not 1 person asking if I needed help. Since Scottsdale is 1 of the friendliest areas have visited and Athleta typically has friendly staff was a bit surprised since noone was is in the store except staff on their cell phones. Their selection was very good for the area since they have great gear for hiking in the mountains which we love to do when in Scottsdale. Prices were appropriate for the area but would probaly buy online since the store is on the smaller size.

I have been an Athleta girl for years and years. However, this weekend I thought I would try the competitors. I walked into 3 competing stores in this area and in every single one, the workers were doing the very bare minimum, and inventory was extremely low/not impressive. As soon as I stepped into Athleta, I was kindly greeted and was catered to the entire time. These ladies were beyond helpful, going out of their way to help every customer in the store. It was clear they were not helping just to get a transaction. This visit today solidified my loyalty to Athleta. Forgive me, the only employee name I can remember is Maureen, and she was an ABSOLUTE sweetheart. But, all around, everyone was amazing.

Athleta customer service is TERRIBLE! I purchased 4 bras within the past year and so far, 2 of them have had the clasps break while working out. Washed on delicate and air dried. Now I know why they have discontinued the Ultimate Ease bra. BEWARE if you have any of them. Trying to get the company to make it right has been terrible. I called in and was told because I purchased it in store, I had to go back to the store. I don't live near an Athleta anymore so that is not as easy as they think. Time for me to find another brand of work out apparel that stands behind their quality.

Have to say I was so impressed by the service I received today when I needed to return two items with unusual circumstances. The staff and the manager were great and I really appreciated what they were willing to do. It ends up I did more shopping and found several things I loved and purchased. I really like the great service they give you while you're in the dressing room too - you don't see much of that these days where there's a sales person there to get you different sizes or colors, offer suggestions, etc. I highly recommend this store for great athletic and every day clothing!

If you're looking for the best, most comfortable and buttery soft leggings, Athleta is the place! I never knew what I was missing until a few days ago when I first tried on a pair. I've never worn anything that has felt so good, that also helped hold my mommy body together lol The best part is they also had a huge selection of clearance, and I found them for only $44! I also scored a super cute hat and a comfy active tank to pair with. This store was clean, well organized and had nice fitting rooms. They have curvy sizes too! Ladies I'm telling you, if you haven't tried them... please do... you will not regret it! I will be back here to buy more leggings because I am obsessed

Rude management and terrible customer service. I bought pants there a year ago. $100 pants. They have holes in them already!!! My Lululemon pants lasted through 2 pregnancies and ten years with no holes. Save your money and go to Lululemon. And much better management and customer service!

As I live nearby and stroll the Kierland Commons location often, it is disappointing that plus snd tall sizes are not stocked. After purchasing three newer Momentum style tops in store in XL, they all were embarrassingly snug. The XL Salutation jacket purchased is cute but was too small. The Runners jacket in L was also returned; too large and IMHO, way too long for running and trending high rise bottoms. All tops and jackets purchased were returned to a rather unfriendly early eve staff member. I understand $500 worth of merchandise was returned but there was no reason to treat a customer rudely. It was not my fault larger sizes were not available in store or online. Online, most of the tops I was interested in were sold out except for the XXS, XS and S sizes. I am a "loyalty" member at Athleta but I make a few returns because of the sizing and, sometimes, quality issues. As there are many athletic wear stores in the Quarter/Commons, it was surprising to me that on this last total purchase of over $600, I received a $5 loyalty credit off my order, which then was taken back after my return, even though I kept the $130 pants. So not a customer loyalty gesture! On a positive note, the Endless Cargo pants purchased are a dream but I had to size down. The Momentum colors and patterns are refreshing and the non-slide up feature is a good one.

I am not usually an Athleta shopper. However, I did recently purchase a couple of products. I like the feel and quality of the products. Many of their shirts and lounge wear items are super soft. Being that much of what they sell is active wear, the stiching does seem to be sound. Service in the dressing room area was well above what I have experienced in a long time. They not only started a dressing room, so I may continue to shop, but once inside, they checked on me. They even offered to get different sizes. Checkout was fast. They did not pressure me to sign up for their loyalty program.

I did an in store pick up for a backpack for back to school, when I picked it up I told the sales girl it's too small. She said I bet it will work. Take it home to try never saying there was a short return policy. When I had a chance to return it as a working mom, not one but two employees shamed me that I was out of the return window. The employees were beyond rude & the policy is absurd. Not to mention the employee the first day bullied me into "trying" the backpack.

Best thing about this place besides the actual products is that they have curbside pickup! I just pull up, roll down my back window and the Athleta fairies come out and drop my bag (free re-usie!) into my back seat. Easy. as. pie. They're friendly, the products speak for themselves, and it's easy and convenient to shop with them! If you haven't been in, they're located on the main drag near Anthro. Since we're still living that mask life, check them out! I now own 15 and won't use any other. They're stylish and super soft and now I have some to match all of my outfits.

Bought their yoga pants and two sports bras from a friend because it didnt fit her. And fell in love! Their material is comparable with Lululemon for a much lower price although each item is still pretty pricey. We received a gift card as an invited elite and i bought another yoga pants!

Purchased some clothes for a birthday present. Athleta mentioned they could ship as it was going out of state. The shipment was supposed to go out on Monday, which would normally get to destination in 2 -3 days. Nothing arrived. Called store and they said I had to talk to corporate. So I did. Corporate was very good. Unfortunately they said the shipments only go out on Fridays. Shipment went out 5 days late, which means arrived 5 days late. So, missed birthday. On top of that, the store said they would remove tags and include a gift receipt. Nope. Sent out with all price tags still on merchandise, no gift receipt. And, was shipped in a crappy plastic envelope, everything just stuff in there. No box, no nice tissue paper, etc The merchandise is good. But everything else, not so much.

The store is so well organized and clean. The staff was so friendly and helpful in helping me find what I was looking for. I went with a cute pair of leggings and they are so soft, forming and most importantly comfortable.

Incredibly rude management! Was re-signing up for an WellPro account because I am a fitness instructor. The manager who helped me sign up was incredibly rude and condescending. The associates were incredibly kind and helpful. The products are good quality but management needs to be reviewed and kinder.

I came here to support my local gym and it was my first time visiting this store. It was bigger than I had thought, and plenty spacious for customers to browse around. I'm fairly frugal when it comes to clothes shopping so these types of stores aren't my first choice, but I ended up finding a cute sports bra on sale and grabbed a fun headband as well. These two items felt durable and I anticipate the higher prices matching the quality. They seemed to be doing well on an early Saturday afternoon and they had a good array of workout gear and lounge wear as well. I do like that they host events and partner with other businesses. The ladies working the fitting rooms were friendly and I thought the chalkboards with the personalized customer names written on them were darling.

I love this place! The store is always clean & organized. So much variety in clothing options & colors to chose from. So happy I found my white tennis skirt I was looking for!

This was a beautiful store, layout was open, everything was clean. But the reason for my two stars is the customer service was severely lacking. There was no greeting for myself and a few of the customers that came into the store. I had a few items in my hands to try on, no rooms were offered, having seen a customer have a room started with plenty of items added in. I ended up putting my garments down and walking out. I wish this could have been a positive experience but I won't be returning.

Visited this store tonight to check out their leggings. I heard they had nice stuff and I typically buy Lululemon. The store was very clean and the staff was super helpful. They checked on me in the dressing room to see if I needed other sizes or help and then the gal I worked with was super helpful when I was trying to decide what to purchase (because I couldn't purchase it all ). I will definitely be back....and I think their return policy is great!

Well informed staff who offer very good customer service. When in the dressing rooms the staff follow up frequently & make excellent suggestions. Thank you for paying attention to detail! Will return!

As a girl with thick thighs, I've always had a hard time finding a pair of leggings that fit me in all the right places. I've bought high waisted, thinking a higher waist will have more to hold on to and keep my crouch from falling in-between my knees! I was wrong. I came into Athleta open minded and eager to find my pair of leggings!! Cara was my knight is shinning armor, she had a great attitude, heard my concerns, asked me some personal preference questions and selected for me to try the mid rise salutation 7/8 tight for $89.00 Absolutely love the feel and fit! I found my go-to pair of leggings! Cara also showed me online where I can find their free workouts on Saturday mornings! Score! Grateful for the help and wonderful experience, Namaste.

I am definitely a fan of their online shopping and had never stepped in the brick and mortar. Came here on a weekend with a guest visiting town and surprisingly was pleased. Athleta offers more than just your yoga pants. They offer lounge wear to swimsuits to your every day casuals. I love just feeling the fabrics...if you haven't, try and you'll be back often. Also, one of the very few places that carry small (and extra small) sizes in stock. Staff was patient and kind to hunt for every color and size we needed. I really liked the organization method of the store as it was easy to locate items by color and style. You can walk in au naturel and feel comfortable shopping without pressure. Given what I read, I can't speak on the return policy since I have not had to make one. Another note, payments are not accepted in the store.

I absolutely love this store. Susie is so amazing. It was my first time in the actual store as opposed to shopping online and I loved it. Susie made me feel so welcome and was so helpful in understanding my needs for certain bras. I ended up purchasing some awesome leggings and tops as well. She took the guess work out of my shopping and made it stress free! I loved all my items so much I actually went back yesterday and bought more items from Susie! Great clothes and great people!

Athleta has a great assortment of workout clothes and athliesure attire. I love the way their pants fit and they have a ton of options on tops. I've had a lot of luck with their swimsuits but most of the selection is in basic colors.

The absolute worst customer experience. I will never shop here again and I was their biggest legging fan...sorry Athleta/Gap/Old Navy. You just lost me.

The only reason I go to this store is because I enjoy athleta in San Francisco and it's the closest one to my house in Scottsdale. Sadly the lack of customer service is disgusting. This review has nothing to do with the amazing products athleta sells. I'd give more stars but....their employees NEED more training. Period. I am half the age of some of the women working and I am shocked they were hired at all. No one greeted me upon entering. It took 10 min after I had a pile of clothes in my hand for someone to offer me a room. I spent the next 20 minutes trying things on and NO ONE offered to help, get other sizes, or even check on me! When I was ready to check out, with a large pile, I was ignored for at least 5 min. Meanwhile I saw employees in the back hanging clothes up or looking for something. One girl walked away to find something after she clearly saw I was ready to be rung up. Last, I spent over $500 and I did all the work myself? Customers come first and a simple greeting might have made me less irritated. However, having worked in retail forever and sales, I know how to treat customers. Regardless of what they spend. I'm so disappointed and this is not my first experience at this location with poor customer service. The ladies in San Francisco and Corte Madera, CA are FABULOUS! Why is scottsdale sub-par?

I went in looking for a swimsuit. I didn't find one that fit but they were super cute. Madison tried her best to assist me. She was kind and patient and understanding. I wish I would have found one.

Rude response and service when asking a question. The lack of overall customer service is just astonishing in one of my favorite shops. I'm a BR loyalists. Key point - The lack of carrying size petite doesn't pass the common sense test here in petite-ville. Won't be back.

Very disappointed in this location! I probably spend several $1,000 a year at Athleta so this review is for the service at this location, not the brand. I went in with a return for items I purchased at a different location. The manager called me out for returning items at "her"store that were not purchased there. I know she was the manager because she went on to say she specifically trained the management at the location were I initially purchased the items. Thankfully these trainees did not pickup her classless attitude. I should not feel uncomfortable returning merchandise regardless of where it was purchased. The fact that she was the manager makes it even worse. I'll never buy anything at this location but I'll be sure to make my returns here.

Really rude associates seem to pick and choose who gets service based on how much lipstick you are wearing. Felt invisible. Don't waste your time and good spirits on these bats.

Athleta is owned by Gap and sells women's athletic apparel similar to lululemon and Lucy. I've been getting their catalog for ages so I was happy to finally stop in today. This is the only Athleta store in Arizona, located in Kierland Commons (across the street from Scottsdale Quarter). Price-wise, it's on par with Lucy--and coincidentally, there is a Lucy store about a 20-second walk away in the same complex. I was able to find a couple of pairs of yoga pants on sale -- the sale section is a bit hidden away in the fitting room area, so make sure you don't miss it.

Very rude horrible customer service had to wait outside for 20 minutes. Just needed to do a return. Suggested I left my 9 year old daughter outside in the heat because only one person was allowed in.

I have shopped at this store and love the clothes and had no issues. I did however find it most difficult to order on line. I ordered a gift for my daughter and it was never received. The customer service phone line is completely useless and no one available and the on-line chat for customer service never answers as well. So, you are left high and dry with no merchandise or refund......their on line store should definately not be allowed to be in business.

Dear Athleta, please update your outgoing phone message with accurate hours. The internet showed you were open for both curbside pick up as well as in store shopping. I tried to call and got your automated message that said you were open. I arrived at 5:45 and you were closed. I know between covid and now civil unrest things change. I would have appreciated saving my time and gas. It only take a minute to update your outgoing message. Thanks.

This place not only has some amazing clothes from sporty, to casual, to business dress - yes, I said Business dress attire - but their customer shopping experience is top notch! Register as a regular shopper and the next time you're ready to stock up, call ahead and let them know you're coming and they will pre-select some items for you and even have a HOT (or Cold, based on your preference) Coffee waiting for you! You can't find a shopping experience or customer service like this anymore!! All the ladies are great - no pressure, no commissions, just honest opinions and feedback! And don't forget they hold weekly activities like yoga classes - amazing!

Today was my second time this year at Athleta. Even though I knew of the brand and might have gone there a few years ago, the only reason I went there this year (about a month ago) was because one of my best girlfriends (Shanna) works there and I loved an outfit she had one. After I was greeted by friendly associates I finally found Shanna and she showed me around and pointed out new styles that were totally me. The new wide leg pants are awesome!! Who would have guessed that I would find awesome work/travel clothes at Athleta! Today, I took mom and again, we were greeted by friendly people who even though the place was packed, had a great attitude. Shanna was working there and as usual she got us a big dressing room and suggested a lot of options to try on. Best part was the cute outfit that mom found (Happy Mother's day mom!) and when were were checking out mom got a rose and $10 for next time (nice touch Athleta girls!).

So funny! I literally left the register and realized that I left a receipt. I asked the cashier if she had my receipt. She told me to check my bags which I did but it was not there. She just looked at me blankly as I walked to the trash bucket to the side of her. I lifted the first paper on top, lo and behold it was the receipt. And I just said, here it is just where you threw it. She could care less. Considering that only 30 seconds had passed l, her behavior was pretty pathetic. Coincidentally her name sounds very similar to trash! Which is how she treated me! Manager is walking around with a positive vibes Tee - this store needs customer service training. There are a few nice and helpful people so I don't want to put down the whole store but sadly two can ruin it for all! Considering the minimum wage and that an average purchase of one item would take up 7-8 hrs of work time after taxes, one would think she would have had more empathy. But then again may be why they agonize over being kind and helpful!

If I could give Athleta zero stars I would!!! Today when I went to make a quick exchange with my son I was told I had to wait to come into the store due to covid precautions, and a limit on how many people could be in the main part of the store. When I proceeded to step back, and wait in the entrance I was told we needed to move to the first blue dot outside... well the problem with this is it was 117 degrees outside. To ask me to stand out there is fine, but with a 1 year old baby? That is unbelievable!!!! If we were to stand in the opening of the store (with A/C) like we tried we still would have been WELL over 10-12 feet from anybody. I just wanted to make an exchange for 6 pairs of leggings I bought for a different size, and go home. After this I will be returning them, and never going back. If you feel like listening to a rude Athleta employee who tries to "educate" you on Covid (which was full of errors, as me specializing in infection control would know) and them being careless asking you with child to stand outside this is your place.... if not, there are plenty of places that treat you better that aren't run by Old Navy.

Athlea is a part of the great Banana Republic Empire. Which may actually be part of the great Gap Empire. I really do not know who is the grand Pooba here. But, anyway you get the jest. You can use any of your Empire Credit Cards here. As well as the traditional Visa and Master Card. As well as American notes as well. Not sure about checks. Anyway, the merchandise is good quality , as is the high prices. But, along with the high prices you also get some other good perks. They are a good company, been around now for a long time.(The Empire). You can get anything hemmed complementary, which is awesome. You can bring anything back with the receipt. Even better, if you order something from them on line and for some reason do not like it. You can take it back to the store with your receipt. You have to love these little things that make one's life easier, I know I do. I do like the products they sell. Everything is quite well made and very comfortable.They are open 7 days a week as well. It is located in the Kierland Commons, so parking can at times be a bit dodgy.

I was really looking forward to visiting Athleta for the first time, as I had done some research on full coverage yoga tops and Athleta specifically advertised for this. They have a beautiful store at Kierland, with very friendly and helpful staff. They identified quickly that I was from out of town, and let me know they offer shipping to Canada which I was happy about. They had plenty of full coverage top options, and a TON of pants on sale for great prices (was able to score some yoga pants for $35 a pair!) that AREN'T see-through in the rear! I'm looking forward to wearing them at home in my upcoming practices!

I have been going to the Athleta store in Portland and I was happy to see the one in Kierland open last year. I love their yoga pants more than any of their other products. So far, I have 4 pairs, 2 long and 2 capris, the other bonus is that they are not see thru, I checked, don't asked me how. The only downside is that they are never on sale like other store (hint, hint, across the street). I am glad I can at least use my rewards points to make them more affordable.

Cara attempted to help me find a perfect sports bra. While I was unsuccessful in that quest, I did find some cute shirts and pants. Cara was amazing! The customer service was great.

Went back...staff was more friendly and I was able to purchase something fun. Kierland is an awesome outdoor place to shop! Will be back next vacation to see what they have.

I just got ready for bed after a busy day watching the bears Lose at the sports bar, taking a walk, holiday dinner, and duties caring for my 96year old mother in law. I took off my top and threw it in the hamper, then got it out again to look at the label as I realized how comfortable that top was and how much I really enjoyed wearing it. Athleta. Ahhhh. Need I say more?

This store is phenomenal. Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. I have been a fan of this store brand for my wife for years.

I should had read reviews before I walked in the store. My experience purchasing items was fine, but returning was a nightmare! They returned my items to another customer giving them my original receipt. Never ever will I leave my items to be returned behind the counter while I shop. Sales associate and manager were both dismissive and unconcerned about my privacy being violated. They said the lady looked nice. That really helps me:(

I really like Athleta clothes. Otherwise that's it. I had shopped at Athleta in Summerlin, NV before and had a wonderful experience. Had the opposite experience at the Scottsdale location. The staff is rude, not attentive, and it felt like they were avoiding eye contact with anyone who needed help. I had reserved a rain jacket and leggings online for in store try on. When I walked in it took a while to get someones attention to find out where I pick up the clothes. One of the staff told me to ask another staff member in the dressing room to bring me the item. Well the dressing room staff member passed me twice, came off unapproachable, did not want to make eye contact, and then hid in the tiny closet where the reserved clothing is. She seemed so agitated to help. I am surprised staff doesn't have better training. No one was friendly and the prices are on par with LuLu Lemon where the staff is way nicer but I hate the clothes. When I asked about more colors in a pair of leggings I liked another staff member just pointed without looking in any direction saying its over there. All the staff is in a rush and as a customer I had no idea who worked there and who didn't. They don't make it clear with name tags or clothing. The staff does a great job making customers feel not welcomed. Shop online and avoid this store.
