My husband I had our wedding ceremony and reception here in September last year and can't recommend highly enough. It is the most beautiful spot, the view of the harbour and the beautiful green lawn, especially in spring, was incredible. The staff on the day, particularly Bish, the on the day coordinator, were amazing and catered to our every need and request. We had our photos done at Bradley's Head, a short 5 min drive away. The fact that everything could be done there, from ceremony, cocktail hour, to reception and photos, was a huge draw card for us. We were also able to attend a wine and food tasting event there in the months leading up to the wedding, which was a comfort, as we wanted to ensure the best pairings for our guests. Something to keep in mind is that the menu is fixed and any adjustments are an added cost and not overly welcomed. Other than that everything went quite smoothly for us.

Our wedding at Athol Hall was truly a dream come true, and we cannot thank the staff enough for their outstanding service. From the initial planning to the final moments of our special day, everything was handled with such care and professionalism, making the entire experience seamless and stress-free. A special thank you to Antonia and Bish, who went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Their attentiveness, warm demeanor, and keen eye for detail made all the difference. They anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and made sure we could fully enjoy our celebration without any worries. The venue was breathtaking, the atmosphere was magical, and the service was impeccable. We are so grateful to the entire Athol Hall team for making our wedding day so memorable. Highly recommended to any couple looking for a beautiful venue with an exceptional team behind it! Jaslene and John

A fairytale wedding venue ! A lovely place right by the water overlooking the Sydney city under blue sky. Our friends had a most memorable wedding in this wonderful place. The foods and drinks were well served, and amenities were good. However the wedding reception party was overcrowded with 120 people inside the building, and there were no AC so we had to rely on natural breezes. Overall a great event hall that many will cherish ...

As a wedding photographer based in Mosman, Athol Hall tops my list. The staff here are some of the friendliest I've ever encountered at a venue, and let's talk about that view—it's one of Sydney's best. As a vendor myself, I experience a lot of wedding food and I'm always excited for dinner at Athol Hall, the staff go out of there way to make sure I'm fed and watered which means I do my best work. The abundance of photo locations both on-site and in the surrounding areas makes it an absolute dream for photographers. Seriously, if you're mulling over Athol Hall for your wedding venue, don't think twice. It's a gem.

Antonia and Biz absolutely nailed it. From all the planning to the big day itself, the entire team at Athol Hall are absolute legends. The service was impeccable and invisible. The team just made everything effortless. The food was outstanding! Good potions, well cooked, beautifully presented and tasty as! My only gripe would be that that wine included in the wedding package was decidedly average, but the team even sorted that out, so no complaints. If you’re looking for a blank canvas for your wedding, with an amazing harbour setting and brilliant team, then book Athol Hall now.

There is not one single thing I can fault about Athol Hall! From the initial planning stages until after the wedding, the team at Athol Hall were accommodating, flexible, organised, and just absolutely lovely! I had so many compliments on the venue itself and the food (best wedding steak ever!). It was all just perfect. I highly highly recommend having the ceremony and reception at Athol Hall - that transition from one to the other was so easy/fun for the guests - they were kept well fed and liquored up. Also, the location is just insanely beautiful - our photos were phenomenal! And they were done literally down a little path from Athol Hall itself. I just loved that everything we needed was in one place! Special shout out to Antonia who was my event coordinator/planner at Athol Hall - Antonia was an absolute dream to work with. She made the planning process so easy and actually enjoyable because she was so helpful and lovely. She was always so responsive, and had great suggestions/recommendations. Also, big shout out to Bish who was the supervisor on the wedding day itself - Bish was always there when I needed something, he would just appear like he could sense it! He was so lovely and professional and accommodating. In fact, the staff on the day were absolutely wonderful! The guests had many compliments about them and how everything ran so smoothly on the day. Big big thanks to Athol Hall - I highly highly recommend!

Google
Athol Hall venue and staff created our perfect wedding that exceeded all our expectations. Staff were warm, welcoming, flexible and knowledgeable from our first inspection through to the wedding day. We received many compliments from our guests that the venue and event was one of the best they had been too with particular praise for the work ethic of the staff and the quality of the food, drinks and hospitality provided. Staff were always responsive and kind leading up the event, answering all of our questions and providing helpful hints to help our planning. We were always left without doubt. The weather on our wedding day was very wet and our ceremony was moved inside. The staff worked incredibly hard and quickly to set up the hall and create a ceremony which far exceeded our expectations. The location is fantastic as it is located close to the city to take in the stunning views but it is quiet and peaceful to create a feeling you are the only ones around. It also provides a range of photo opportunities, whether it be on the beach, in the bush, on a road, cityscape etc. I would highly recommend Athol Hall to anyone considering a wedding in Sydney. You will not be let down by the venue, staff, location or experience.

I am a wedding photographer that has been lucky enough to shoot at Athol Hall on multiple occasions. The location and venue itself are stunning and you just can beat that iconic view of the city. A perfect location for a city wedding!

Yelp
Kookaburras making love! Is what I saw both times I attended a wedding at this virgin pure venue. Tucked down in a pocket of secluded bush between Bradley's Head and Taronga Zoo, this is a find indeed, a vintage gem of a place where the wedding is held out on a gently sloping grass lawn flanked by paternal gumtrees and the Harbour Bridge lit up by the sunset across the water in the background. Athol Hall used to be a dance hall. Back in the '50s sensible partygoers (they were the only kind that existed back then) would jump in a boat and be ferried across to the Hall, where the women would expose their ankles and the men would swoon and they'd all do a sock hop or a jive or something until the wee hours and then the boat would take them away again. I imagine it wouldn't come cheap, but can you really put a price on taking your vows while benevolent kookaburras make glorious coitus in the boughs above?

Yelp
All-round outstanding venue! I visited Athol Hall as a guest of a friend's wedding. The great food and service coupled with the unbelievable views of Sydney Harbour made for a fantastic wedding. It was a truly memorable night.

Yelp
Unbelievable setting - worth the visit for that reason alone. This was built as a turn-of-the-century dance hall. It's an old building up a long walkway, with a giant yard and a fabulous view across the harbour. We had lunch on the veranda, with the harbour, Royal Botanic Gardens, Opera House, and Sydney Harbour Bridge as our view. The interior is for functions, so lunch is served on the dozen tables out on the veranda. The Thursday we were there they only had three tables occupied the entire lunch period. So this isn't the place to look for a fabulous chef-prepared meal. With that consideration, we had a very nice meal. Their wine selection was pretty complete, and there were daily specials including a pasta and a fish dish. We started with three excellent spreads and some fresh bread. One spread was a homemade humus that was good. Another was an awesome feta and pumpkin combination - never had that before and loved it. My main course was a big disappointment, not worth mentioning. The sticky date pudding for dessert was excellent. We were there to visit with old friends and were not rushed to leave even though we sat for over two hours. Our waitress was not just good - she gave us a half hour ride to where we wanted to go next when the taxi did not show up. Now that's service!

Yelp
We planned to hold our wedding at Athol Hall in April 2020. In the lead up we tasted some of the food available, unfortunately both the food and service were very disappointing. The basic wines offered were really terrible, in our opinion not wine we would give to our wedding guests at all. If considering a wedding here I would suggest trying the wines and upgrading from the basic offering. With our wedding at Athol Hall now cancelled due to COVID-19 we are owed a considerable amount of money by The Venues Collection, the owners of Athol Hall. The ACCC guidelines which apply to businesses forced to cancel weddings as a result of COVID-19 and the terms of their own contract are clear, yet they refuse to refund over $14,000 of our hard-earned money. Athol Hall were not able to deliver us a wedding or any service yet after one month of correspondence still refuse to honour their contract and refund our deposits as other Sydney venues have done. I could not recommend this venue to couples planning their wedding, a lot of the positive reviews online were posted before the new owners took over the venue. It's such a pretty location though unfortunately that isn't enough to make up for their extremely poor food, wine and service.

Yelp
It was disappointing when I called you at 11:35pm to obtain simple help for opening the park gate ( it is not 12 already ) And the nice answer lady did not give a $hit by any means. Any how We "THE MAROONS" Definitely don't belong here . As I apologised to the answer machine lady ! I repeate my apology for this actual review
