We found the food to be good value for money, with a fantastic selection of gluten-free options, which was really appreciated. The puddings were excellent – no complaints there at all.
However, the Louisiana fried chicken (both the gluten-free and regular versions) was quite bland and definitely needed salt, and the fries were pretty dry.
Unfortunately, our overall experience was significantly affected by where we were seated. We were placed right next to a staff-only door leading outside. It was bitterly cold, the door opened every few minutes and we were left freezing throughout our meal. This really tainted the experience and left us feeling quite frustrated. We also weren’t asked how everything was, so there was no opportunity to raise the issue at the time. In the end, we rushed our food just to get out of the cold.
It’s not an ideal place to position a table, particularly during winter, and this unfortunately overshadowed what could have been a much more enjoyable visit.
