Atlanta Deli

It's crazy how this place got more bars than a jail house. Like I know people rob chicken joints...but damn it's like a prison inside. They don't want no contact with us at all. And yet we still up in there...myself included. What's that Jay-Z song...OJ...It just made me wonder how in America we really locked in communities where the people who run the business probably call us zoo animals names. None the less...I went to try the wings. Usually a place with this many bars would have excellent chicken at the least...but my fries were warm...chicken was soggy. I barely ate any of the food. No ranch or blue cheese in the bag and I really didn't fell like going back inside. The place just had bad vibes all around.

Ordered from Uber eats. Ok the food tasted different than the Location I normally ordered from so I took it upon myself to look up the address and unfortunately, I ordered from the Moreland location. The wings were soggy and cold. The lemon pepper was extra salty. It had too much seasoning on it and the buffalo wings. I taste more season than flavor.. The rice was cold and it just didn’t taste like chicken fried rice would usually taste, it taste more of an Indian flavor or some other type of flavor I can explain it.but due to the fact that I was hungry, I ate it. It’s edible but will probably not order from there again.

I have never had a bad experience here plus its close to my job. The lady that works in the front is always friendly. Honey hot and spicy braised wings arë on point everytime. Somebody ordered a salad that looked real good...will try that next

Soooo first time visitor after living down the street for years. So it’s a prison restaurant. They don’t want you to interact with them at all. Bars on top of bars on top of bars. The cashier was nice af though, love her and only met her one time. The price is decent. The food wasn’t all that. I’d probably go back, but not for wings.

Final update: The young lady that I spoke with was very polite and also agreed that the food looked inedible. After a little back and forth about the portions of one plate being less and then my explaining to her that those were items that were put on a plate and thrown away she apologized for the inconvenience. After sometime figuring out how to issue the refund was finally able to submit a request through the credit card terminal. The financial institution said the credit should be issued in 3 to 7 days. My final thoughts are perhaps this was an off day for the cook. I have looked at other reviews and unfortunately it appears as though there are multiple off days. Perhaps I should change my bottom line from "avoid" to consume with caution. However as for our household we shall avoid moving forward. UPDATE: After calling back and speaking to another person I was told that if I returned the uneaten food I could receive a refund. First DO NOT USE ONLINE ORDERING!!! The store is NOT utilizing Storefront by Door Dash although it's available online. Placed order for Father's birthday at 5:50, it showed "confirmed" by the restaurant with a pick-up time 6:30. Arrived at restaurant at 6:27 and was told they are not accepting DoorDash orders and therefore my order was not ready. I was told that DoorDash would have to refund my payment. Given the fact that this meal was for a special occasion I placed the order in person for the same items. I was quoted 7-10 minutes, however it was actually closer to 20. As I awaited the order I reached out to Doordash. They were also confused as to why the restaurant was not accepting orders as their side showed the terminal for order placing online with multiple orders for delivery in the que. I was told that my order would be canceled however I would have to wait 7 to 10 days for the refund. I wish I could say this is where the negative part of this review ends unfortunately such is not the case. After finally receiving my order around 7:00 I took it to the car without checking it. This is where I made a huge mistake! Extremely salty, oily, over cooked, hard, dry and flavorless food is what I found upon arriving home. Utterly depressing to say the least. My family made due by adding food items from home to substitute inedible items, such as wings so hard my daughter complained of tooth pain after trying to bite one to the oil so thick on the "orange chicken" my father had to have an antacid. I tried my best to consume the Lo Mien, especially since it's my favorite, however the noodles were extremely dry and also had a strange flavor. Even my significant other, that we joke has a steel stomach and will eat anything, said that the flavors made him feel ill. The only thing salvageable was the broccoli, that was quite plentiful, especially since the meat was minuscule. Of the complete order totaling nearly $50 less than 1/3 of it was consumed. I called and spoke with a person at the restaurant only to be told that no refunds or replacements are issued once you leave the store. Absolutely horrible experience.

So the food used to be good before. I have lived in the area since they opened and it was delicious. Now the food is mediocre. I got these wings 3 weeks ago and they were not appetizing. Very flavorless and bland. Please improve because I do miss old Atlanta Deli.

No matter how long I’m in Atlanta I have to visit this location. The food is always amazing no matter what I order. They are quick even though the food is made to order and no matter how many people are in line to order or waiting on their order the wait is never long or unreasonable. Customer service is top notch and they even offer one free refill on drinks for dine in customers.

No dine in take out only, but who cares. The food is great. Wings are delicious all kinds of flavors and will create one for you. Great price for a 75pc for the fam

fish salad - lettuce and toppings were fresh. everything was green and crunchy with oil/vinegar. the fish was well seasoned and hot. so good, I didn't put any sale dressing on. will visit again to make sure it wasn't a fluke.

Cool little place on the corner of Moreland Ave and Custer Ave. Their food is pretty decent.

This america deli is sad ...they try to keep your receipt due to issues with complaints by customers from under Cook wings to poorly overcook hard dry wings ...very unsat establishment ...who don't care about pleasing customers and making their food accordingly. Complained to female manager and she found this to be funny which I found offensive. F rating for me

When it comes to Wings 5-Star, since I did not understand immediately and because of my customer ignorance they Earned a 3 STAR REVIEW, the difference was after asking for 15 Hot Wing and 10 Lemongrass when it became complicated, ONLY after I agreed to accept the Combo for the 15 Hot Wings, which includes a Drink, mind you as a "combo" The Gentleman, "Joe Smith", said I could not buy a combo with 25 mixed Wings and receive a drink. DUDE, don't offer the Drink creating a Combo and then back-Track, WTF? 15 Piece Wing "Combo" = $9.99 10 Piece Wing = $5.99 Total = $15.98 pretax 25 Piece Wing "Mix" = $13.99 Drink = $1.35 Total = $15.34 ...So, I nearly wanted to cuss you out or a simple $0.34, I would have paid, Dick! I think Atlanta deli is an excellent choice for the price and the quality of food. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak with fries and a drink and I also ordered a garden salad. The Philly cheesesteak was exactly what I was looking for. The fries were fresh. And the salad was fresh (I've experienced wiltEd/brown lettuce at other places way more expensive). I only spent $10. The garden salad is way better than I expected. It has lettuce tomatoes banana peppers cucumbers oil and vinegar and oregano on it and it's only three dollars. That's more than you will get ANYWHERE else. Honestly by the comments, I could see how certain people would think that the food is too salty but it was excellent to me. Seasoned just right. I will definitely be back again!

The service is unprofessional and management is rude. Management will not refund you for sub par food that has been prepared, but would rather fuss with the customer and call them names. The staff plays music with profanity, customers can clearly hear it, while serving customers.

food was terrible i order wings and house rice and the wings smell like old chicken so i didn't eat chicken i ate rice with steak and chicken and shrimp and got food poisoning never again food is terrible all nooo stay away from this place they sell old food

I really tried to give this place a chance. I ordered the wing combo which comes with wings, fries and a drink. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The lemon pepper wings were nasty. Seems like they were cooked in old cooking oil. Didn't even try the fries.

Went to get some quick lunch I ordered the 2 piece tilapia and fried rice. The food taste good especially the fried rice it's really delicious.

This place is heavy handed with the salt shaker. They put season salt in their hot sauce which hot sauce already has sodium so they pour Alot of season salt in the hot sauce which make the hot wings taste extremely salty. They told me us black folks like that. I guess, because cause people still come and eat it. I can't take all that salt. Dam you can't even taste the good because of all the salt. I tried the chilli dog and dam if the chilli was full of salt. So now I just oder a salad when I go there.

Wings are good. STAY AWAY FROM THE FISH!!!!!!!! I think it's old or they can't cook it correctly or the grease is old, I'm not sure, but never again. The fish tasted like rubber. Seriously. It was like chewing an $8 rubber band. Not ok. Just stick to the wings. Customer service isnt bad. Parking space is sufficient. The health record score could be higher (in the mid 80s I believe). The call ahead orders are usually NEVER ready on time.
