"Atlantic Coast Kayak, Ft Lauderdale by Nick Rourke. Fort Lauderdale is littered with waterways and channels, which can make for some great kayaking. Although paddle boarding seems to have become the new thing around here, at Atlantic Coast Kayak you can rent both. They'll get you set up on a route and send you on your way with whatever fresh fruit was picked that morning. It's a unique way to see the town."

I was traveling back north with a group of 10 college students, and we were looking for a quick, fun activity to fill our last afternoon in Florida. I will say that we could not be more satisfied with our decision! This is the heart of the local scene! This man runs a small but authentic business; he is courteous, fun, and exciting to talk to. He shared all his coconut secrets with us. As soon as we got back from our ride, he had seven coconuts waiting for us to drink! We spent the following 40 minutes just talking with him. The ride itself was just as satisfying. The waters run through and around a nice neighborhood. I'd never ridden a paddleboard before, so I went with that option. It was a fun new experience. Unfortunately, all we saw were lizards and one interesting bird, but the owner told us there are four manatees living in these waters, and there were instances where people had gotten to pet them and even got pushed along by the manatees! What an experience. Highly recommended!

Great Fun, really enjoyable 2 hour activity and they give coconut's at the end of trip. The owner is super friendly! I forgot something there and when I went back after they closed he was still there waiting and even offered me another coconut!

We have been on many kayak tours in several states, and this one was probably the best. The equipment is solid and very good quality. The paddles had carbon shafts, the kayaks were in good shape with sturdy, comfortable seats, and he has nice wide paddleboards for beginners. But, what makes the tours the best is Kenny the guide. Kenny goes out and does the "urban eco tour" at 10 o'clock every morning, and you can go with him. It's about two hours long and he'll take you through many of the little waterways in Fort Lauderdale. You'll see raccoons, iguanas, lots of different birds and fish, and maybe even a manatee. Kenny is knowledgeable about the area's history and apparently has been studying up on the wildlife in order to become an even better guide. And it shows. He could point out different animals and tell you some fun facts about them. He's friendly and casual. It's very reasonably priced and with several different tour/boat options, it's a company you'll be happy to go back to.

This is a nice spot to rent a kayak or a paddleboard and go exploring the waters around Wilton Manors. As an "island city", Wilton Manors is defined by the canals that surround it. Renting a kayak is a very enjoyable way to see the city from a different perspective.
