What to Eat at Orlando's Universal Epic Universe This Summer

"At the table-service restaurant in Celestial Park, chefs are introducing a seafood-forward but inventive menu: a King Oyster Mushroom Ceviche — with meaty mushrooms tossed in a tangy citrus dressing, plus tomato, cilantro, jicama, and lime juice — pitched as a great option “if you’ve ever skipped ceviche because of the “raw” fish.” The kitchen also serves golden brown-seared sea bass floating in a lemongrass broth that features star fruit for natural sweetness. For dessert the pastry team offers Passion Fruit “Caviar,” a chocolate-and-hazelnut dessert topped with housemade passion fruit caviar-style boba." - Megan duBois

My husband and I ate there for my birthday and had a great time. The food and service was phenomenal. My favorite was the sea bass but the scallops were tremendously cooked as well. Fun drinks. Great beautiful atmosphere and fun views of Epic Universe. Highly recommend for a date night! It was expensive. My signature cocktail was $17.

Very good restaurant, higher level dining, not junk food which is usual in parks, it is very nice to know you can have a good lunch on nice dishes, the restaurant is beautiful and calm, it is not cheap, but just as a regular restaurant nowadays. It is for sure better to establish here than in the rest of the park, the wine selection is very decent too, not huge but good. The bar is also very good and honestly, it is a beautiful bar.

Great time at this restaurant. It’s beautiful, calm (they play classical music) and it’s a great peaceful break from the chaos of the park. Old fashioned was solid, my drink (can’t remember the name) I wasn’t a fan of — if you’re not a huge fan of a lemon drop I’d pass on it. Tuna tartare was a little bland so I’d skip that. But our mains of the bucatini and the sea bass were delicious. The sea bass comes with a lemongrass sauce pour. The dish would have benefitted from some type of grain like coconut rice or wild rice to soak up the lemongrass marinade, which was amazing. The bucatini was a little past Al dente but the flavor is spot on and the shrimp were cooked beautifully. Service was great, ambience is beautiful. Definitely a pricier meal in the parks but worth it if you’re looking for something more high end here. The food is definitely exceptional for theme park food so it’s a worth a visit if you are looking for a quiet and more upscale escape from Epic.

Crab cake and mussels were flavorful. Shrimp lacked flavor but had a nice texture from the sugar snap peas. The corn chowder was yummy but texture too grainy. Get the high ball. The watermelon and gin were a good combo.

I couldn’t say enough compliments about Atlantic. My partner and I went to Epic Universe for one of the preview days and at the time we booked our reservation, there were only concept art photos of the restaurant which seemed too good to be true. Well, I can personally assure you they were able to make a dream reality. The restaurant is like something out of a storybook. The atmosphere, food, and service were spectacular. Specifically our server Cris made our experience unforgettable. They were able to recommend us the perfect food and drink options as well as being a delight to chat with. For drinks I had the Northern Lights cocktail, and my partner had the Speechless Astronomer beer, which is only available within the park. Both were great drinks with mine being almost too beautiful to want to touch. For our food, we got the oysters and the seared scallop entrée. I was blown away at how delicious the seafood was with the oysters being incredibly fresh and the scallops cooked to perfection. Atlantic is absolutely a must stop for your trip to Epic Universe and we will 100% be coming back next time we visit.

Google
We had a reservation (highly recommend). We wanted to break up the day with a nice sit down meal and a view of the park. We had a beautiful view of the water! Food was absolutely delicious!! Service was a little slow but we knew it was a new restaurant inside Epic Universe so they still had some kinks to work out. Otherwise the food was amazing, waitress was kind and knowledgeable. Very cool views of the whole restaurant as well! Theming was on point!

Google
This restaurant has done an amazing job of presentation. Fine details throughout the restaurant showcase the Atlantic theme. The beautiful ornate fish that rotate throughout the restaurant to the beautiful waterfall features in the windows. We enjoyed the tuna tartare and it was eaten so quickly there was not time for a photo. Steak was perfectly cooked, the risotto could have been served a little warmer but presentation and taste were spot on. Our server was knowledgeable about the park and answered all of my curious son’s questions.

Google
The park is still in previews so there are still a few kinks to work out. The restaurant has spectacular views and is gorgeous inside and out. We started with drinks at the bar which offers great signature cocktails. The menu offers a good variety with mostly seafood and some meat options. It took a while for us to get seated once called back but the team members are still training and learning. Out of our party of 6, 4 of us had the burger. It’s a decent burger with a fluffy bun and was very moist. We all ordered it medium and they all came out well done. The salmon had good flavor but came out under cooked. The filet was also decent with a great set of potatoes. The steak was ordered medium and the first one came out closer to well. The second steak came out closer to rare. Overall, the food tasted decent but was either over or undercooked which is not what I would expect when you’re paying higher prices for a full service meal in a theme park. The theming is amazing and once they work out the kinks, it should be a better experience.

Yelp
A day in the newest Orlando theme park doesn't always prompt thoughts of a fine dining experience, but when your mother asks to attend an Epic Universe preview for Mother's Day (yes, this review is late), you say yes and also make sure to take her to a proper sit-down dinner. Atlantic did not disappoint, though theme park prices are certainly in full force here. A beautiful multi-floor restaurant overlooking the park's water features, our booth felt secluded and service was quick and kind. Drinks were worth writing home about, but specifically the sweet corn chowder and Prince Edward Island muscles certainly stole the show before our main dishes. My bucatini was a bit salty, but not overpowering. Certainly not an every day occasion restaurant, but a great addition to the high-end theme park dining experience list.

Yelp
Pros: The servers are really great here, the restaurant itself is beautiful, and the food is mostly good. The undersea theming and the proximity to the fountains make this a really fun place to dine. Cons: They do seem to be having some new-restaurant issues related to sequencing from the kitchen. There were a few significant oddities in the way our food arrived. First, one member of our party had an allergy, and their food arrived 3-5 minutes before the rest of the table for each course. Second, one of the dishes we ordered (scallops) was largely tasty, but the roasted broccoli in the dish was cold and wilted. Third, for the dessert course, our desserts arrived several minutes before any utensils with which to eat them, as our dinner utensils had already been cleared. It seems like the staff are struggling to get all components of each dish ready at the same time for proper sequencing to each table.

Yelp
Came here for our anniversary dinner after an epic day at Epic Universe. Appreciate that they allowed for free and easy reservations; props to my husband for planning ahead! The waitstaff have kitschy sea-themed phrases, like "if you want to swim into the entree", etc. Food was good; the ahi tuna plantains were a bit salty, my corn chowder had a few random, oddly placed pepper notes. But overall, not bad. The dessert was the highlight- we got the biscoff and cake; presentation was very cute.

Yelp
So for our family dining around Universal has generally been a disappointment. We had hopes with Atlantic in the new Epic Universe. I give two stars only because then ended up buying two of our entrees.. otherwise it would have been one star. The pros: the restaurant is visually very nice and gives a high end feel. Our server was good and attentive. The cons: The (huge) fail was the food/kitchen. My wife had salmon and she liked it. Our daughter had Mac and Cheese. Before I had a chance to try my scallops she ask me to try her Mac and cheese. Taking a taste there was no semblance of warmth. It was clearly room temperature at best, probably had been sitting out for a long time. I called the server back and let her know and she took it. Then I had a chance to try my scallops and risotto a small bite of the scallop seemed good, the risotto underneath cold. I called the server let her know and she took my plate back too. The plates came back. The mac & cheese was hot halfway through at the bottom it was still room temperature, but my daughter was hungry and just ate it. For me the plate (meaning not food but the plate) was warm. Risotto was still cold. I imagine they just put it under the broiler or in an oven for a bit which would've made the scalps hotter (and probably overcooked). but we never get through to the risotto. I was not happy I pushed the plate away told them I'm not going to eat this. It needs to be remade not just reheated. Finally came back and it was hot all the way through. Once done right it was good but I've never had to send a plate back twice....the kitchen is clearly not paying attention and for what should be a nicer restaurant that was very disappointing. The manager did say he'd buy the two plates so they sort of made it right. But I was hoping for so much more in quality... So far the only places in universal that I have been really happy with is the mediterranean restaurant in the new hotel, Helios and the restaurant in islands of adventure Mythos So there you go. I would not recommend this restaurant for a meal. But there is a bar in the upper section..stop in and have a drink as the atmosphere island look is nice

Yelp
Amazing restaurant! Amazing food and amazing ambiance! Great service! The pasta and shrimp was delicious ( both of our kids got it and both loved it) . Me and my husband we had the fish sandwich and agreed was one of the best we had in a while! Highly recommended! The only things they have to improve is the reservation system. Even though we had reservations and we got confirmed we still had to wait at least 15 minutes to get seated for some reason.

Yelp
Wow classy! It felt so fancy in there especially for a theme park. The view is beautiful and the inner theming is very good. The staff are very nice, professional and efficient. The food was very yummy, I had a blackened grouper sandwich and that may have been the best tasting fish I've ever had. The drink we had was underwhelming but looked cool. Not too many options on the menus and all rather pricey but they are definitely going for quality instead of quantity! Would highly recommend during an Epic Universe trip.

Yelp
Loved the Atlantic inside Epic Universe. We did wait about 15 minutes for a table which wasn't bad. The decor is beautiful and loved sitting looking out at the fountain. Tyson was our server and he was the best, gave so many great recommendations and checked on us continually. For lunch I ordered the Bucatini alla Adriata which was great. For dessert my niece and I shared the Landlubber's Snickerdoodle Loot which I'd definitely recommend.

Yelp
The experience started off a little rough, but got better over time. We showed up on time for our reservation and were escorted to a private booth that gave us a beautiful view of the park and some space away from people. There are a lot of tables sat next to each other, and I'm glad we did not sit there. It took around 10 minutes for anyone to stop by and about 15 minutes for cocktails to come out. That was frustrating, however whenever they eventually came, we enjoyed the AC and made a game plan for the rest of the day. My son ordered the burger medium and it came out almost well done; we didn't send it back because of how long everything took. The lobster roll was heavenly, but a tiny portion for $50. My husband enjoyed the crab cake. Elizabeth was a very nice server overall. I'm glad we came, but I would do quick service next time over a $200 lunch where we barely got anything.

Yelp
Welcome is very theme-park; take it or leave it; from nice very young people. Server Mike is more professional and friendly (Thanks Mike!!). Cocktails Drinks are very expensive (Theme Park). We asked for natural lemonade but no luck; only Fountain. After seeing menu; we ordered three appetizers; the crab cake is good size but nothing special, the plenty Sweet & Spicy little Shrimps also OK, but closer to Costco / BJ's frozen Asian bags. The Oysters Valentina are also Ok, but only 4 small oysters for $21. Ambiance is a good respite from the park but lunch of only three appetizers with tap water and tip was $76. Not a good value.

Yelp
We seriously cannot think of a bad thing to say about this place. We will start with the view and the ambience in the restaurant. Absolutely amazing view of the park along with the fountains in celestial Park. The fish and the artwork on the inside is absolutely beautiful! We ordered the chili shrimp appetizer, the scallop entrée, the shrimp, pasta, entrée, and the snickerdoodle dessert. We ate every last bite of every single item. There was so much flavor, everything was cooked correctly, the dessert was sweet, but not too much to give you a stomachache. We cannot think of a single thing bad with this place! We have already been talking about going back again and trying other entrées on the menu.

Yelp
Atlantic is Epic Universe's "elevated" dining experience option in the park. It feels very grandiose when you walk in and see the beautiful bar that looks over a balcony and stairs leading down to the main dining area that then looks out over the whole park. Want the best dining view at the park? Come to Atlantic. We came during the week for dinner so it wasn't super busy, but I'd recommend making a reservation ahead of time if you want to eat here. We had a reservation, it wasn't busy and we still had to wait to be seated. They had a pretty small menu, but all seafood themed as you'd expect from a restaurant called Atlantic. I tried the filet mignon, and it was one of the best pieces of meat I have tried in awhile, just fantastic. It came with some form of layered potato on the side, and having a bite of filet, with potato and the sauce altogether was just chefs kiss. We really enjoyed their seafood pasta as well. And where the food menu is smaller, the drink/ wine menu it probably twice that. Lots of fun options, we didn't try this time but the bar up top you can sit at and get a drink even if you don't want to dine in. Our waitress was a super sweet Puerto Rican gal (can't remember her name sadly) and Alaowei who was the food runner were wonderful and made the experience a lot better. It still seemed like their service could become a little more efficient considering it wasn't super busy when we came. And because it's higher tier dining, the prices more than reflect that. The food was at least enjoyable so the money wasn't wasted, but definitely just something we wanted to try for the experience and wouldn't be willing to pay real often. However, if you want a fun and exquisite dining experience underwater with the acrylic fish overlooking the park, you got it right here.

Yelp
This restaurant is absolutely beautiful inside. The details are top notch! Very spacious insides with multiple floors. The staff were beyond helpful and friendly. Now, the food was pretty freakin delicious! We ordered the grouper sandwich, baked oysters, Atlantic burger, and the Bucatini Alla Apriata. Everyone loved their meals. Food came out hot and fresh! I will say, make reservations on the Universal App if you can. We happened to walk in and there was only a 30 minute wait. This was on a Wednesday at 1:00 pm. Overall, my family and I enjoyed this place. Give it a try if you're at Universal Epic!

Yelp
Easily the best Universal restaurant across the 4 parks in Orlando and it isn't even close. Finally a fine dining experience that can compete with Disney's Citricos, Le Cellier Steakhouse, and their other fine dining establishments. I made a reservation online and they sat me right at the glass to watch the fountains. When you walk into the restaurant, you're up top right at the bar. Then, they hostess takes you down the stairs to the glass area where you want to sit. I started with the $17 Northern Lights (dat purple drank). It looks way better than it tastes. I wouldn't ever order it again, but it was fun for pics. I also tried an $18 Espresso Martini. It was good, but not on the level of The Boathouse, Wine Bar George, or Citricos. Then, I had the $16 Hearts of Palm Caesar Salad. It was spot on and very good. For the main course I had The Atlantic Burger "Au Poivre." The burger was freaking amazing. Think of a Ruth's Chris level burger. Everyone should give the burger a shot. For dessert, I had the $12 El Pulpo Cheesecake. This can be skipped as it wasn't good at all. Great to get out of the heat and/or rain, to relax and enjoy a meal. I will be back here next time I'm at EPIC Universe!

Yelp
We ordered the jumbo crab cake and lobster roll to share. The portions were generous, and they didn't skimp on the meat. The crab cake did have a bit of a corn flavor that I didn't love, but the sauce was great with it. The lobster roll was definitely the star of the show. I loved that it was warm. There was plenty of lobster meat, and the bread was soft and pillowy. The lobster meat was also high quality, and they gave us an entire claw. I would definitely get this again. I also enjoyed the homemade potato chips that came on the side (though admittedly they could have used some salt). The service was also great; the server was friendly and gave great recommendations. It is a nice, more upscale setting.
google avatar

Jem M.

Yelp
The crab cake and mussels are a MUST-TRY! We ordered the steak and the bucatini - both are lacking salt and flavor; we had to ask for salt. Service is good and the place is stunning! We got the snickerdoodle for dessert - it's yummy!
google avatar

Eric J.

Yelp
Walking into this place makes you feel like you're on a cruise ship, the view is actually EPIC! Our server was the best (Estefania), you could really tell that she cares and loves her job! She came through with the bomb recommendations and great vibes. I had the Filet Mignon which was pretty solid, definitely didn't disappoint. Paired that with an old fashioned that also got the job done, my wife had an espresso martini that she loved as well as the grouper sandwich that seemed to be pretty good too. We honestly didn't care for the desert that we chose that they were hyping up but it wasn't bad enough to dampen our trip here. The prices were semi expensive as you would expect for fine dining at a theme park but for sure worth the experience!
google avatar

Jeff S.

Yelp
One of the better restaurants in a theme park. Solid menu and really tasty food. Service was impeccable. Had the romesco romanesco. Others had the grouper sandwich, crab cake, corn chowder, seasonal salad and bucatini. Everyone at my table of 6 were very happy. Very nice ocean theme inside. Decent craft cocktails and a couple local craft beers on tap. Make reservations!

Yelp
I was lucky enough to snag a reservation at the Atlantic during Epic's technical rehearsals and preview days! (And with that, I recognize they are still training and working out all the logistics.) We arrived a few minutes prior to our reservation and opted to get some drinks at the bar, as our table wasn't ready yet. I tried the Northern Lights (purple drink) and it was refreshing and beautiful. Several people asked me what I ordered simply because it is so eye catching. We were seated about 15 minutes after our reservation time and there was a bit of confusion about who our server was - but once it was sorted, we got to ordering. We shared the sweet and spicy shrimp (like bang bang shrimp) and it was delicious. However, the mussels were the real star of the appetizer round - they were hearty mussels of a decent size. I loved the cilantro sauce and the tomatoes that came with. It was a healthy portion and, of course, topped off with some bread to soak up the delicious broth! For entrees, our party tried the bucatini, the lobster roll, the grouper sandwich, and the sea bass! And it was all delicious and fresh. I had the sea bass and did find it to be a bit salty - and the carrot mochi were just odd - but the fish itself was light and the coconut broth was so so flavorful...I wish they'd given me a spoon or bread to soak it up! During dinner, I also tried the sand dollar cocktail - it straight up looks like sand, which wasn't appetizing - but the drink was so refreshing, light and coconuty - without being too tart from the grapefruit. The only small downside was from our reservation side, we were there for almost two hours and had ordered pretty immediately after being sat. For a food option inside a park, I hope they speed up service slightly so guests can get back to the park! But overall, delicious food and in an absolutely gorgeous building, with stunning views of the park and fountains!

Yelp
We went here for a nice meal while were were at Universal Epic. The restaurant is located near the entrance, within Celestial Park. I ordered the cheeseburger and it was maybe the best burger I've had in many years. It's hard to describe but it absolutely was delicious.
google avatar

David D.

Yelp
Great service, excellent ambience and views over Celestial Park and very good food from a creative menu. Filet mignon was excellent. Salmon entree was good but slightly overcooked. Desserts are just a visual feast. Two thumbs up and would return.
google avatar

Mollie N.

Yelp
Okay, Epic strikes again on amazing food and experiences. This meal was amazing! Our waiter was also exceptional. The view of the park from every table is spectacular. We had the tuna tartar, raw oysters, crab cake, lobster roll, scallop risotto, and beef tenderloin. I only have two complaints: 1, some of the waiter staff was a little less friendly. I went up to one employee to notify them that the paper towel machine was empty in the bathroom and she seemed a little annoyed. Maybe she was having a bad day, and I totally get that so I don't fault her for it if it was a one off! Also, the steak at our table was supposed to be medium rare and it definitely arrived medium well. I know it's a theme park but this restaurant has higher dining prices so guests expect higher quality preparation. Even though it was overcooked, it was flavored so well and it was still very tender! Def give this place a try!

Yelp
I knew I had to visit the Atlantic while at Epic Universe and I wanted until the hottest part of the day to do so intentionally. The Atlantic has an amazing inside with beautiful views of inside celestial park. You can see the fountains alive Al throughout the day from pretty much any view inside the restaurant. I did not dine here, I only went to sit down at the upstairs bar. The air conditioning inside makes a visit to the bar a very high recommended experience for a summer Orlando afternoon. They have a bunch of drink options and they can make anything a typical bar can as well if nothing on the menu appeals to you. Now what I am most satisfied with is they had a unique selection of draft beers from local Orlando breweries! I got the orange blossum Pilsner which came as a 20oz pour for around 10.50 which I thought was a fantastic deal. I would highly recommend this option if you like blue moon as it tasted similar. It's a refreshing beer for the hot summer heat and the orange flavor just reminds me of Florida. If you have time when at epic universe you should definitely visit the Atlantic! They also have a sit down restaurant that seems fantastic that I want to try next time I visit!
google avatar

Nick S.

Yelp
Atlantic was fantastic. Everything from the ambiance, service and food was excellent. It was a nice place to take a break and enjoy a great meal.
google avatar

Cristina M.

Yelp
Food was fantastic and well presented. Beautiful atmosphere and very friendly service. Oysters at a theme park? Who has heard of such of a thing? Not only that, they were delicious. Unfortunately, only got the "after" picture of the oysters but none of dinner. Only feedback was that the ticket times were very slow.
google avatar

Dustin P.

Yelp
Best theme park food I've ever had. The grouper sandwich was amazing, as was the lobster roll! Cocktails were also great!
google avatar

Moriah L.

Yelp
I've only been to the bar at Atlantic, but I've been twice. I have to say that the drinks have been SOLID and very balanced and the bartender we had was genuinely one of the nicest dudes I've ever had the pleasure of chatting with at a bar. The ambiance in here is AMAAAZING. Getting out of the hot Florida air into this gorgeous, steam punk, ocean-themed place overlooking the water is such a great time. 100% recommend. We'll have to come back for actual food sometime when we decide to face the crowds again.
google avatar

Daryl E.

Yelp
This was our first visit and couldn't be more pleased. The service was outstanding, as was the food. The shrimp cocktail was delicious, and was served over cocktail sauce made with watermelon. The crab cake was delicious as well. We will certainly return.
google avatar

Megan M.

Yelp
We went back to The Atlantic today and while the lobster roll was good, the burger was a letdown. We asked for it as rare as possible and it came out medium to medium-well. They're okay with the seafood, but they've got a lot of work left to do when it comes to meat. Servers are great but expect your food to take 45 minutes.
google avatar

Lindsey L.

Yelp
Every single thing we ordered was amazing. Cooked perfectly and well seasoned, we ordered the house summer salad that had beet, sweet corn chowder and the sweet and spicy shrimp as appetizers. The seared scallops and 1/2 lb lobster rolls as entrees and the landlubbers snickerdoodle loot as a dessert.
google avatar

Andrew L.

Yelp
The restaurant is located in Celestial Park at the Universal Epic Universe theme park. They are still in the soft opening preview stage. It is a full service restaurant that has large glass windows facing the Neptune pool with great view. Inside glass walls reminiscent of an enormous Victorian aquarium. It has a very cool looking bar area but according to the team members, the bar only serves drinks without food at the moment. The restaurant menu items mostly are seafood with a few land options. The dish portion sizes are smaller but well prepared. Out of all the dishes I tried, I love the Bucatini alla Adriata (Shrimp Pasta) the most. The bucatini pasta reminds me of fresh made udon noodles and the creamy tomato sauce, arugula , and herb breadcrumbs made a perfect balance of flavor and texture. Definitely recommend this entree. The service there was also top notch. One of my friends had trouble with the temperature of the fries and they quickly brought out fresh hot batch replacement. I had a great experience and will go back again in the future.

Yelp
Disappointing Dining Experience at Universal Epic We came to Universal Epic from California, excited to enjoy everything the park had to offer. Overall, we had a great time exploring and making memories throughout the day. As the evening approached, our family was really looking forward to ending the night with dinner at one of the park's restaurants. Although we didn't have a reservation, we spoke with several staff members during the day who told us walk-ins would be fine. So we headed over to the restaurant about an hour and a half before closing, only to find it nearly empty--just three or four tables were occupied. Still, we were told they couldn't seat us because they were no longer accepting guests without reservations. We were exhausted, hungry, and genuinely disheartened. After a full day in the park, it was upsetting to be turned away, especially after receiving different information from team members earlier. Being denied service in a mostly empty restaurant was frustrating and felt like a poor end to what had been a great day. It's disappointing to leave a place like Universal Epic feeling this way. We hope the team will reconsider their dining policies and communication so future guests--especially those traveling from far away like us--can enjoy the full experience from start to finish.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible food. Best I've ever had in a theme park! The grouper sandwich and house salad were amazing. Jami our server was an absolute gem of a human in every way and made our dinner even better. She customized our drinks for us and made sure we had a PERFECT night. Absolutely recommended!! Gorgeous decor too.
google avatar

Yelp
Best theme park ever. there are fish moving above you on the ceiling in the restaurant. The pasta is the single best food entrée I've ever had at a theme park. I would eat the pasta dish every day for the rest of my life.
google avatar

Yelp
Very good food. The palm heart salad with salmon was excellent. I did ask for more palm hearts. Jimmy the server was great and got me some more. The ambiance is similar to Let mbards but on the next level up.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was amazing ! Customer service was spot on ! Best view over the park ! We will be back !

Carson G.

Yelp
The service was some of the nicest I have ever encountered. Everyone here was just wonderful. The whole restaurant feels like something straight out of Jules Verne in my opinion. If you come, definitely get the crab cake, it was the best I've ever had.

Alex D.

Yelp
I came to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant was nicely decorated, with fish spinning and water features. The fish sandwich and the rest of the food were good, but not exceptional. But almost nobody in there wished me a happy birthday. They didn't offer me a free dessert or anything special, and I was wearing a birthday pin, which was a disappointment. And I was quite offended. Especially, I got recognized at all of the other restaurants I went to on my trip, like Toadstool Cafe, Flora Taverna, and the Harry Potter place.

Sarah L.

Yelp
Well I guess I was looking forward to a nice filet mignon steak with wonderful sides but it was nothing like that. The steak was small and undercooked and lukewarm warm. The steak sauce was terrible and bitter. There was nothing else to select from for sauces. I asked for plain potatoes since the ones that came with the steak had a mushroom cream sauce and there was no substitutes allowed unless I wanted potato chips and there was no way I was having an expensive filet mignon steak with potato chips. The waitress told me the other types of potatoes on the menu are already portioned out with other dishes as the reason why I could not have them. I guess this makes me think the food is shipped in prepared and they just heat it up. There was no bread service. The water was warm with no ice when poured. The tables are too close together. The menu is limited. I sent steak back and left. They offered to make me another one that I could take to go which really set me off. Who the h takes a filet mignon steak to go? Ridiculous. I won't be back.

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Waited almost 45min past my reservation. Service was spotty, food was lacking in flavor. Things requested weren't honored ex, sauce on side, or grilled chicken in my salad. I asked to have some heirloom tomatoes on my romaine salad as there is heirloom tomatoes on the menu, but chef refused. This is an amusement park restaurant, calm down!! For the price left very unsatisfied. Blue dragon on the other hand was excellent both food and service.

Yelp
Menu was simple and attractive. Food was fresh and dishes were original and well presented. You may never think that there is a restaurant inside a park with that quality. We were lucky that we were dining by park closing so we also enjoyed the spectacular views from inside the restaurant. Staff was friendly and nice.

Yelp
We were able to get same day reservations. The restaurant was surprisingly on the emptier side & service was okay. I got the filet with potato & my husband got the grouper sandwich with fries. The grouper sandwich was good. The steak was pretty bad. I ended up sending it back because it was cooked well done instead of medium rare. The second steak came out perfectly cooked, but there were no seasonings at all. Like I literally had no flavor besides just straight meat. The sliced potato was so greasy it tasted like Waffle House hash browns. The manager came out, apologized, and offered a dessert as compensation for the first steak being bad. That was great! Ultimately, we didn't see anything we wanted from the dessert menu. They discounted us $6 instead for the bad experience... which was very nice. I had high hopes for this place because I had seen SO many TikTok videos raving about it & we wanted a nicer meal for our anniversary trip. Unfortunately, we will not be trying this again in the future. :(

Yelp
Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. That's all that could be said about this restaurant. Universal hit a home run with the Atlantic. From the scenery, to the service provided (Ryan, from New York, our server), the food and the attention to detail was outstanding!! Which even then outstanding is an understatement!! Ordering three courses, from start to finish everything was perfect. The appetizers were relatively small but the taste and presentation were amazing and made up for the quantity. This restaurant completely prioritizes quality over quantity. When asking about recommendations, Ryan provided 10/10 recommendations that were all home runs! The entrees were rich and again, quality over quantity (size)... even then, the food was still filling!! After having a not so well experience from the Helios Hotel, it was so refreshing to receive this experience! Being that there are three of us in this party, two of us are flight attendants, and the other is a waitress... we will absolutely be recommending this restaurant to anyone that visits epic universe!! Don't get us started about the delicious dessert as well.
