Atlantis Vintage Tokyo

Where do I even begin.. The experience I had with Atlantis Vintage was amazing. Not only were they friendly but super patient, especially the owner, Yuji. Yuji even supports other local luxury stores, even if you weren't able to find what you're looking for from a particular location, Yuji happily guides and will do what it takes to make you feel satisfied with their product, no matter what. I cannot recommend them enough, as a longtime bag lover, they will help you with your needs + wants and make you feel special. 10/10 will come back!

Part of my bucket list for Japan was finding my first vintage luxury purse and Atlantis more than delivered. I had seen them on Instagram, along with other stores, like Brand Off and MixThinks, but I had the best shopping experience here by far. While some of the other stores were larger, they felt cold and sterile, with staff that hovered or seemed annoyed when I asked to see something behind a case. Here, the staff lady was super nice and welcoming, gave me my space, and even shaved 10,000Y off the price when she saw I was on the fence. She treated me with the utmost kindness and respect, though I clearly wasn’t a Chanel or Hermes level customer. In fact, when another person tried to interrupt my shopping experience, asking about more expensive items, she politely asked him to wait until we finished checkout which I so appreciated. My one rec is to take a look at Atlantis’s website ahead of time for pricing. I noticed after I left that one of the other bags I had seen in the store was actually on sale online and cheaper there by about 10%. I also wish they provided some kind of certification. I know Japan has strict regulations for these types of secondhand stores but it would be nice if the staff could walk through what they know about the bag — the year it was made, where it was sourced — and how they concluded it was authentic, pointing out the serial number or logo detail, etc. I think that would have really enhanced my shopping experience as someone who doesn’t regularly spend this much money on luxury items nor know much about them / what to look for. All in all, I’m absolutely thrilled with my purchase — a leather Gucci bag in great condition, which felt so unique and so me — and I hope to come back to expand my collection the next time I’m in Japan :)

Truly one of the greatest vintage shopping experiences during my time in Tokyo!! The selection is INCREDIBLE (amazing condition & something for everyone), and the staff is kind, knowledgeable, and BEYOND helpful!! They made me feel at home while I browsed, and I never once felt rushed or pressured!! I ended up with a beautiful slouchy givenchy purse, and a deep-need to visit again!! ((also, can we talk about how CUTE this location is???))

Learned about Atlantis Vintage through Instagram and visited during my recent trip to Tokyo! It was newly renovated in a Showa era style and it was very stylish and cool. Yuji, the owner was so friendly and welcoming! He was really helpful and made good suggestions. My friend and I really enjoyed our visit there and both came away with things we loved (both Gucci)! We will definitely be back especially if we think of an item we are searching for, as Yuji said he can help to source for items as well! Highly recommend!

I had an amazing experience at Atlantis Vintage in Tokyo! The store has an incredible selection of unique vintage pieces, all carefully curated and in great condition. But what really made my visit special was meeting Yuji! He’s super friendly, knowledgeable, and has a great sense of style. The other staff members are also amazing!! Everyone was so welcoming and kind. It was such a pleasure to meet Yuji and the whole team. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Tokyo!

Best vintage shopping experience in Tokyo! Not only does Yuji have a wide selection of bags and accessories, he gave me a personalized shopping experience even though I came in without an appointment. He took the time to explain the history of the bags I was interested in and provided insight on what to look out for when vintage shopping; another personal touch you won’t find at other second-hand stores in the area. I left the shop with two new additions to my collection and will definitely be coming back when I’m in Tokyo next! I highly recommend making a stop at his Koenji location if you’re in the market for a vintage item.

Yuji is amazing and really thoughtful of what suits you and your budget! He takes his time to explain everything clearly to help you make your decision and there is no hardselling or uppity behaviour unlike actual boutiques!!
