Really great ambiance dining by the fire, amazing food and wine, great hospitality and really friendly staff. Great concept and some very unique and tasty dishes from around the world made by some very talented chefs have made this one of our favourite restaurants this year. Will definitely be back again soon!

We experienced the best of Atlas menu on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant was relatively empty yet the service was a little inattentive to refill water etc. Food wise I definitely enjoyed the flavours though I didn’t find it particularly filling for 5 courses at $120 pp and went elsewhere for a second dessert. As it is a set menu there isn’t an option to order anything additional. Overall it’s a brilliant concept and I would be open to a future visit pending the country cuisine of the day

Omg 10/10! We dined here last night to celebrate my sister and her fiancé’s engagement. I was totally impressed with everything. Food was so good and service was great. Everything was excellent. Taste of their food was 10/10. I loved their service because on each course, someone would explain in detail what they are serving to the table. The staff were friendly as well. We all had a great time. We will be back. :)

Me and my partner have heard good things about Atlas so we decided to spend my birthday here. I wouldn’t say it’s bad but I wouldn’t say it’s great either. While I like the concept of having to try different dishes around the world, the dishes that were served on our night weren’t really anything memorable. Also, being served potato cakes to represent food from Australia, is quite underwhelming. Surely there’s other better classic Aussie dishes to do rather than potato cakes.. Despite having the concept of different dishes around the world, there isn’t any underlying theme” or anything to that sort to tie things together. It’s all just random dishes is the feeling I get. In any case, nothing really stood out for us and the portions were equally small as well. I think this is more of a place you go to if you’re starting to open up your palate to different cuisines or haven’t had the chance to try out different cuisines yet. Other than that, you might be left feeling underwhelmed.

Enjoyed the food and the service. I would say it’s better than most of the other fine dine in. I like the idea of serving 5 courses, each course from a different country

Gorgeous food and presentation. So sad this establishment is closing down, but this Best of Atlas menu was absolutely superb as a swan song!

Google
Great food, happily would do it again. They serve it in such a timely and consistent manner it’s almost robotic but enchanting. Almost made us pay twice despite our pre-paying for our NYE dinner. American course was lacklustre but everything else was beyond words.

Google
Food was good, just disappointed with the size of the mocktail i paid so much money for, it was the smallest glass i have ever seen. Service was awesome, our server-a Turkish lady with a name that starts with a P(sorry, can't remember) she was excellent and the front house gentleman 10/10. We enjoyed our food and would definitely come again for more.

Yelp
Ableist pieces of shit that let diners fall and hurt themselves with no care afterwards. Advertised themselves as wheel chair accessible but was not. Has yet to apologize for the experience they have for disabled people.

Yelp
The best and most beautiful dish that I have ever had. The idea of changing the theme every 4 months is great as well. They give us chances to try all different kind of food from all over the world and tell us that the world is beautiful and there's no wall between anyone. I went there with my two children (10 & 12 yo) and they enjoyed the experience a lot too. We'll definitely go there again. : )

Yelp
Have been hearing great things about Atlas for some time and after it was awarded a 'hat' this year it turned into a must visit destination. While it might look unassuming from the street, the smokey aromas once you open the door your are left in no doubt as to what to expect. We visited during the french period, and while not typically french (creamy or buttery), the french inspiration definitely shone through. Four course for $65 - nicoise salad, soup, coq au vin and an apple dessert - fine dining at a fantastic price point. Not an extensive wine list but what the do have perfectly complements the food.

Yelp
A work friend recommended Atlas Dining, hooking me in with a promise of the best value dego in town. So I went there for lunch a couple of Saturday's ago, and for a four course menu for $65 I was inclined to agree. So I went there for lunch a couple of Saturday's ago, and for a four course menu for $65 I was inclined to agree . So inclined, in fact, that I came back tonight to try the seven course dinner version. Started with a plate of amuse bouche: any oyster with vinaigrette (nothing you wouldn't expect), an escargot croquette with diced mushroom (much more interesting and delicious), a venison tartar with walnut, and a lovely vegetable dip served with crispy baby carrot, zucchini and radish. This came with a plate of bread and Danish butter which tasted like a French triple cream cheese. Great start. This was followed by an onion soup; a rich bouillon with caramelised onion hiding I the bottom of the bowl, four little onion caps each containing a dollop of aged Comte cheese, and thin wafers of fried onion on top. I'd had this already as it was part of the lunch menu - in fact, all the courses on the lunch menu are included in the dinner version - but as I really liked this dish I wasn't overly disappointed trying it again. Next up was cured ocean trout served on a puddle of parsley and spinach purée and topped with dill and fresh parsley. Not bad. Another repeater followed; the mushroom parmigiana, a creamy sauce covering a pile of sautéed mushrooms and mushroom tapinade topped with crispy noodles. Really interesting blend of soft and crunchy textures, and the flavours worked really well together. I'd started the meal with a Rickard and sparkling water (my usual opener with French food) before moving onto a red wine; a very tasty, somewhat musty Grolleau from the Loire Valley. This grape gets its name from the French word grolle, meaning "crow" and is said to reflect the deep black berries of the Grolleau vine. Thank you Google. The next course was the one I was really looking forward to having again - the lamb. A lovely piece of meat, barely cooked (just the way I like it) served with fennel and anchovy dressing. Just delightful The first dessert arrived - a sweet Delice de Bourgogne cream between layers of crispy pastry covered with thin slices of apple and, of all things, lettuce. Divine. Reminded me a little of the pastille in Morocco but much more subtle and interesting. Definitely the pick of the dishes. The second dessert was also on the lunch menu and as I remembered this very sweet and quite rich I ordered a 2015 Pedro Ximinez to have with it as anything delicate a floral would be completely overwhelmed. They also have a much older vintage for $27 a glass if you're in the mood for a splurge. This course consisted of chocolate mousse, coffee jelly and Jerusalem artichoke ice cream sprinkled with crunchy sweet biscuit crumble. Just as good as the first time. Really like Atlas, and the whole rotating menu concept (the owner/chef visits a different country every four months then comes back to Melbourne and builds a menu around that particular culinary style) means I'll be coming back here on a regular basis.

Yelp
We were super keen to dine at Atlas. With 22 year old chef Charlie Carrington of Vue de Monde, Marquee & Firedoor on board as head chef. We needed to find out what Atlas was all about. Firstly. You must have the 6 courses. This is a culinary experience. The food is flavorsome and surprising. Each course had a unique touch. Charlie often comes out to deliver the dishes to your table and explains what has been plated up. My favorite dish was the Wagyu Pho Tartare just amazing with Vietnamese spices delicately sprinkled around the dish. I also loved the corn fed duck breast with pickled carrot and Daikon. The first of the desserts was so out of this world, crushed ice with a kaffir lime leaf a dried shallot with a lemongrass syrup to be poured over. Refreshing and ALL of those flavors were matched together like perfection. Cutlery comes out in a leather knife roll. Like what a butcher would use for their tools. Service was good. I felt it could have been better. The fit out is great although we could tell it was very new as a few fine touches needed to be made. I liked that we had a clear view of the chefs creating their dishes. It was also well organized. Atlas is an evolving restaurant. Every four months it will change cuisines. I'm looking forward to trying Israeli cuisine when it starts on December 7. Definitely pay Atlas a visit. The flavors and ideas created will be on your mind for days after you dine.

Yelp
An excellent dining experience. It's advertised as modern Australian, but it is really world cuisine as the menu changes every 4 months. Spanish, Thai, French, ... Peruvian was the food we enjoyed. Bu aware that they only offer tasting menus, either 4 or 6 courses. But they are flexible with the myriad of dietary restrictions these days. The food was outstanding. The sommelier has an extensive knowledge of wines and is quite good at pairing wine to the food. Highly recommended

Yelp
Great food, great wine, great service. Looking forward to going back when the menu changes from Israel to the next country.
