I usually walk straight past Atlas Divine, as the window displays always look way out of my price range, and honestly a bit too funky for me! Thankfully, I took a leap of faith and went inside, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised.
I was looking for an outfit for a special event, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, picking out heaps of outfits they thought would suit me. I have never had that experience before and felt super fancy and special as I was handed outfit after outfit by the excited and enthusiastic staff. So fun! They offered their honest opinion about clothing I wasn't really sure about, and gave me heaps of great tips on how to style the clothes I was going to purchase. A far, far cry from the sullen inattentive hipster shop assistants that I'm used to.
Another really refreshing aspect about the store was their music, no inane radio stations here! Fun and eclectic mix of tunes, ranging from Beyonce to The Cramps. Love it.
The prices were not toooo bad, but being a part time student on minimum wage I usually exclusively buy things that are on a clearance rack, so I fear Atlas Divine might have to be just for special occasions.
The only thing I could criticise is that the air conditioner doesn't get through the thick curtain of the fitting room, so it does get a bit stuffy when trying stuff on. However, the lovely staff compensated by providing cold glasses of water, so it wasn't an issue for me.
