Atomic Furnishings & Design has an incredible mix of curated vintage pieces, local artists, and handmade designs. It’s impossible to go in and not find something of interest. The staff are friendly, creative, and always ready to help. Every visit reminds me how much this store adds to the character and creativity of Asheville. I was a frequent shopper at their original location, and now that they’re closer to my home, I enjoy stopping in even more often to find new decor that enhances my home with the perfect mix of old, new, and authentically Asheville.

If you like ‘50s era furniture, this is the place. They also have classic vinyl, and so much more. Ruby is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. If you are into eclectic design stop in and check it out.

Oh what a glorious space! Atomic has many vendors with quality inventory. The furniture is beautiful, vintage clothing, records, jewelry, gorgeous plants, rugs, stunning paintings and so much more! Parking is free and at their building. The staff is friendly & helpful but gives you space to enjoy your shopping experience.

Atomic has a wonderful and wide range of items for sale to fulfill almost any need. This is my favorite place to find things I didn't know I needed and get gifts for others. The prices range a lot, so if you can't afford something in one booth you still won't leave empty handed. Tons of vintage clothes, records and amazing furniture. Not just mid century (but tons of that too). It's also got ample parking and is walkable from downtown.

When I do my antique store rounds, I always make sure to stop by Atomic! They have absolutely beautiful mid century furniture and decor, their style is exactly what I dream for my living room to look like. I’m always in awe when browsing their pieces.. it’s all so nice and pristine, so know that it’s not cheap but priced to what the value is for the condition, brand and rarity. Even though I wish I could buy everything they carry, I have found some items for lower priced & affordable. They have lots of different vendors throughout the store for all types of stuff and styles. I love looking through the vintage clothes and records. I’m so happy they have opened up at a new location after Hurricane Helene’s damage and hoping the best for them! The new store is looking great and looking forward to the next visit!

This place is AMAZING!! Generous prices on some great quality vintage pieces. The space is huge! Very sorry to hear about their loss in Hurricane Helene, and hope they can have a speedy recovery.

Great selection, always adding new items. This is a showroom with very nice pieces, so expect the prices to reflect that; even with that said I think the pricing is extremely fair for how the pieces present. I finally settled on the perfect credenza and purchase went very smooth. Definitely check out the consignment area also! Bowman vintage has great deals!

Stumbled upon this place after going for coffee across the street. Had an awesome selection of clothing, albums, accessories and furniture. The store is immaculate and clean. Staff was super friendly and warm. Could have stayed here for hours. Bought some great shirts, flannel, an gorgeous leather patchwork handbag. Can't wait to come back to Asheville and go HERE! Can't recommend enough.

This is a great local Asheville, NC store. NC is famous for furniture as one of our top industries. You'll find the most choice, authentic, rare collections of mid century furniture in excellent condition at Atomic. Great people (owners) and best, eclectic store you'll find! 10 out of 10!!!

Megan and Todd are model businesspeople. Their inventory is all of fine quality, which displeases those who mistake Atomic as a place where one can "steal" great products as in a thrift shop. My daughter has found great tables, chairs, a dresser, lamps and other quality furnishing. If you don't respect quality merchandise at reasonable prices, and courteous service, you won't appreciate Atomic. If you do, be prepared to see an amazing selection.

I've been going to Atomic for years and over that time have bought a couple of MCM dressers and many fun finds for decor and gifts. A year ago I decided to rent a space inside as a gallery for my art. Besides Atomic having the best selection of MCM in town, there's a lot of community members setting up their own little brick and mortar space for art and vintage. That's what makes it such a fun shopping experience, a treasure hunt of one-of-a-kind's that always changes. I've gotten to know Megan and Todd, the owners, who are so kind and fair, and the other vendors I've met as well. Great group of people, go check it out, shop and support local!

Wow!! This place is awesome!! I got a recommendation to check out the store. I was in the area the other day so I stopped by for a quick visit. I really love how this place is filled with such a wide range of mid century furniture,art, photography, local vendor booths that offer hand crafted items plus they had a great selection of music that was playing in the background while I browsed through the building. I got to meet the awesome Manager. She was very kind and helpful. I'm glad to know that I can offer them my Bertha Schaefer End Table or have a booth some day. I would definitely recommend going to visit them when you area in the are or visiting from out of town!

Fabulous place to find Mid Century furnishings. Customer friendly, never pushy. I bought a dining table and chairs that I love.

Horrible selection but more importantly horrible owners! They need to work on their costumer service.

Saw a beautiful marble coffee table posted on Facebook marketplace a week ago for $50 and within the first few minutes of it being posted and having sent the seller a message it was sadly sold. I had accepted that it had gone to a fellow marketplace scouter and was sitting beautifully in someone's living room being loved and appreciated and had made peace with that. As I'm doing my daily marketplace browse for the day I come across a new posting of that exact same gorgeous marble coffee table EXCEPT it is being sold for an ASTRONOMICALLY HIGHER price and low and behold is being sold at atomic furnishing & design. The same exact table for $695 dollars!!! That is a huge price gouge! I understand making a living but at that high of a profit margin, it feels like a scam and does not sit well with me. You too could have any piece of furniture at that store if you just purchase it quicker than them off Facebook marketplace.

Purchased Newly reupholstered dining chairs that we love. Not used often (dining room) but two of the buttons popped off. Stopped in to ask what can be done (initially so not to risk a bad diy fix). Sales Associate told us (repeatedly) that sales are final. We don't want to return them. She also told us the owners don't have the time to attend to fixes like this (because there are so many??) and they travel a lot and are too busy (ok then). She repeated that past customers lie about treating furniture badly then expecting repairs so many times that I cracked, asked her to stop looking directly at me and telling me I was lying. Our chairs are barely used because we DO value them. Not treated roughly .. and no, the cat didn't knock the buttons out either (if kitty had, I would've said so from get go). The frames are great ... it's the new upholstery that didn't hold up. Honestly, we were happy to buy here to support local owners and locally done work but feels yuck. Atomic wouldn't assist getting two buttons back onto chairs that we purchased about six months ago. Just disappointed.
