A beautiful hotel. The courtyard is lovely and serene in the evening. I enjoyed the restaurant, the art, and the architecture. Our room was clean and comfortable. We didn't do any exploring around the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Such a charming hotel! Beautifully restored 17th century building with all the modern conveniences you'd expect from a fine hotel. The staff is very helpful, and speaks english. The bed was comfortable, the shower was good, and the pool was amazing. We stayed in the smallest room, the Jr. Suite, and though the room was small, it was still very comfortable for two people. Best of all, the air conditioner worked great! Breakfast was delicious, offering both continental fare, as well as many local foods, fruits, and juices. I recommend stopping by the bar in the evenings, and having a cocktail or two. They have some interesting recipes, utilizing regional fruits and liqueurs.

First things first, this is not a 5 star hotel. To me it is a 3 star. The hotel is built in a beautiful 19th century building with a very good restaurant (local, Amazon like cuisine) and amenities such as a outdoor pool. Surroundings have also very good dinning options and tourist attractions. The service was far from desirable. As an example, after asking for extra pillows, the answer from reception was that the hotel policy was 1 pillow per guest. That alone is a summary of the level of the hotel. The bed, shower and room (Master type) are decent, just that.

I stayed here while in Belém and it was great. The staff were all professional. It's right next to the Mandal das Garças park which if you're walking you can enter for free. The breakfast was great as well. I would return to this hotel.

A different type of hotel. Nice atmosphere and decorations. Gym machines in state of order. Good location and quality for money. Rooms are very spacious and bedding excellent. Moskitos are a problem! Breakfast is various and good quality. Service is medium. Reception staff very nice and helpful.|I don't recommend to walk around but taxis are convenient and not expensive. |Sure was a good choice of hotel with a great restaurant nearby at walking distance around the corner.

Not very safe neighborhood, very small pool, without a ladder a lot of days, not many hotelstaff could speak English, nice breakfast, and friendly staff, tip: go and activate your room key when you been out, it almost never works Nice AC, but the wifi was very unrealeble

A beautiful hotel in Belem, which really invites you to a spa with great rooms, a large pool and sauna. Breakfast can be enjoyed in the garden really nice. The pictures speak for themselves! For us, only the shower did not go tomorrow, so I deduct one star!

Hotel located in gorgeous old colonial-style building. Beautiful decor. Room was very large and spacious. |Lack of insulation of windows meant lots of street noise early in the morning.|Area around the hotel felt unsafe at night: need to take taxi (or Uber).|Staff were just atrocious: |front desk staff had no clue how to check in a guest: I had booked online on the hotel website, and communicated with the hotel by email before arrival, but front desk had trouble to locate my booking and kept asking for my contact details… checkin took forever.|A/C unit in room leaked water: not just the occasion drip, but almost a waterfall - when informed, front desk staff just shrugged shoulders. |Bed sheets were too short for bed (at foot end of bed, we were basically sleeping on the bare mattress). when asking about this at the front desk, they claimed the picture we showed was from another hotel (!)… until we dragged them to our room to show the bed.|Despite assurances from restaurant staff and front desk staff the night before, breakfast starts at 7am, and not a minute earlier! (Even if the buffet is ready and you have a tour guide picking you up, no chance to get anything to eat before 7am)|Not sure if it was lack of training or a general lack of interest in customer service, but service at this place is BAD!
