Came here for a brief stop while on a tour with Touring Guyana (the best tour company)! The staff at the lodge prepared breakfast for us. My family only eats halal, and they catered for that as well! The canopy walk is beautiful and really allows for some stunning views. The tour guides are very kind and knowledgeable. The lodge staff is also very kind and accommodating. Wonderful experience!

A wonderful little lodge nestled in the heart of the rain forest. The staff there was great and they prepared some wonderful meals! We enjoyed the canopy walkway and just wandering through some of trails. A great overnight stop on our way to Iwokrama.

Came here as part of the Guyana Nature Experience organised by Wilderness Explorers. This was a very pretty lodge with a garden where lizards roamed and hummingbirds and butterflies danced round the flowers. Black currasows forage round the grounds. The odd agouti can be seen and there are heaps of birds in the trees. The place is right in the middle of the rainforest so has a beautiful setting. |Our guides Carlan and Tichi were top notch: very professional and even when we did not have activities organised they set up their telescopes in the garden and spotted birds for us. They worked very hard to find wildlife in the lovely forest and also on the nearby access road. We saw a red howler monkey, pale-throated three-toed sloth (very exciting), a red-rumped agouti and tons of beautiful birds. We also saw the Guianan cock-of-the-rock at a known viewing site nearby. |There was not much wildlife on the canopy walkway and the holes in the floor play havoc with your tripod. However, there was a bright green pit viper to look at (highly venomous apparently) who was curled up asleep on the ground.|Our room was very clean and comfy. It was open which meant there were insects but many of these got eaten by the bats that flew in and out and the large geckos on the walls. There was a mosquito net over the bed so sleep was easy and good.|The outside shower was nice although we had to rescue a little bat who got stuck in there - a very cute little bat.|The food was very good with fresh salad ingredients as well as the other staples, and the lodge itself is very welcoming and cosy with a little bar. We drank wine but it was very expensive (not surprising as they are miles from anywhere in the middle of the rainforest).|I really enjoyed my stay here.

My Husband and I and two of our adult children spent two nights at the lodge. We did the Iwokrama Canopy Walkway, nature walks, bird watching, etc. accompanied by our very knowledgeable guide Delon Williams. Delon has a keen eye and super hearing!! The lodge offers comfortable accommodation, shout out to the cook Calistra Joseph and all her helpers, the food was always yummy. If you love nature and is looking to relax and enjoy peace and quiet and recharge this is one of the places to visit. Remember to look up at the night sky. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend the lodge.

OVERVIEW||||I stayed here for 2 nights as part of the Guyana Nature Experience tour with Wilderness Explorers. Small but comfortable rooms. Welcoming manager with professional and knowledgeable guides. Canopy walkway in remote location. Food good, but not so plentiful. Very quiet when we visited, only a handful of other guests.||||ROOM||||Room was small but clean and comfortable with a bathroom partially open to the outside. The shower area has an open roof.||||Nice toiletries provided and other nice touches such as insect repellent, sewing kit, umbrellas and torches. The room could have done with a fan. Only solar power available, so no charging of cameras etc. in the evening. No mesh on windows, but mosquito nets were provided. Grounds around rooms are nicely maintained.||||FACILITIES/CUSTOMER SERVICE||||No phone coverage. You pay for vouchers to use the internet but you are only able to use the PC to access emails. Nice central building with comfortable seats, a small bar/gift shop. Wildlife magazines and bird field guides were good to have.||||The dining area had tea/coffee and biscuits available throughout the day. Food was quite varied and served family style. Good quality but not so plentiful. Bar prices reasonable. The staff ate with us and were friendly and chatty.||||The staff were hardworking, welcoming and professional and you could see that the manager was on the ball. The two young guides who were locals were enthusiastic and knowledgeable. They were eager to please and happy to accommodate extra time with them requested by ourselves and another couple. They set up a scope on the canopy walkway and spotted lots of wildlife we would never have seen ourselves. They also spotted lots of wildlife when we walked down the red dirt road early one morning.||||There is a little too much downtime for my liking at the lodge when there are no organised activities, but it is nice to have a walk around the grounds on your own and you can see a lot of wildlife there.||||I can't really say if the lodge is value for money or how expensive it was as it was part of a tour, so I didn't pay individually for it.||||WOULD I STAY HERE AGAIN?||||Yes

This was our 2nd stop on a visit to the Rupununi. Well situated in the Guyanese Rainforest with easy access to the Iwokrama Canopy Walkway which was great to experience at different times of the day. Staff as always during our trip were friendly and attentive. We were well fed with freshly- prepared local food. We had 3 nights, but 2 would have been enough for non birders like us who didn't have a long list of species to 'tick off'.

We stayed only one night here because of the schedule we'd pieced together. The room was the most typical hotel room we stayed in during our time in the interior, and the food and service were good. We were happy with the famous canopy as an experience, but on the day we went there was no wildlife to be seen to speak of. This can happen anywhere of course.

Atta is so pretty with its gardens and thatched lodge in the middle of the vast forest. The rooms are clean and comfortable and it is a novelty to shower outdoors! I was a bit concerned to find there were gaps in the walls, so no way to avoid insects etc. but you get used to it - the mosquito nets around the beds are an absolute necessity. Free-standing fans make the temperature comfortable.||The food was good and plentiful and the staff very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife. We stayed here 3 nights and were glad we did - could happily have stayed longer.
