Attalos Hotel

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights pre-cruise. We were pleasantly impressed with the location, cleanliness and staff at Attalos. The breakfast included was plentiful and delicious! The view from the roof top bar and our room was amazing. We could see|The Acropolis all|Lit up at night which was awesome. Walking distance to the plaka and acropolis was perfect. We would|Definitely stay there again

I loved my stay at this hotel. You receive a very warm welcome which continues whenever you past the reception desk. Good size room and bathroom. I liked sitting out on my balcony. Unfortunately the large trees spoilt my view of the Acropolis but then you have the Roof Top Garden and Bar.|The views of the Acropolis at night when it was lit up was very good from the roof top. The bar has got two very good bar tenders, Maria and Christos. I ended up chatting to them when I was in the bar. They are very friendly and they knew everyone's drink and returning customers.|I really enjoyed my stay at the Attalos from the staff, Greek breakfast, perfect location.|I would love to return

Staff members were all very friendly, attentive and kind. The check in process was very efficient and smooth, the room itself was very comfortable and very clean and the balcony had a really nice side view of the Acropolis. Despite being located on a central avenue, the hotel was very quiet. It might not have the most modern interior design, however this is such a minimal and insignificant detail. The terrace provides even more clear views of the Acropolis and it makes for a great breakfast or rooftop bar spot. The location of the hotel is just excellent. Thank you for a great and pleasant stay!

Fantastic hotel. We stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. The room was big and well appointed. The view from our private balcony of the acropolis was breathtaking. Good location in Athens - so much around to do and eat! The people were amazing and the breakfast was fabulous!!! Definitely get a booking with breakfast included - filled us up for most of the day and a huge selection.

The location of this hotel is wonderful. One block from the main square area which is filled with shops and restaurants. Approximately 10 minute walk to the acropolis as well. Very busy area with lots of cafes and places to stroll. The rooms are fine - actually good size and the a/c worked incredibly well. The highlight by far of this hotel, besides its location, is the rooftop bar. Absolutely stunning views. Definitely recommend.

I started staying at the Attalos hotel sometime back in the ‘80s and it hasn’t changed a whole lot! It’s a narrow building… you might miss it at first glance. I’ve returned to Greece four times and this is my go-to hotel upon arrival and departure. It is a simple, unpretentious, and honest hotel. You get a decent sized room with a comfortable bed, a safe, a nice shower and a little balcony. They serve an amazing and satisfying breakfast. I’ve heard the neighborhood is one to be wary of but we have had no problems at all no matter what time of night or day we were wandering around. It’s a short distance to Plaka for fun shopping and a store nearby selling items from Lesvos… the best Ouzo! What IS new is the roof-top bar. What was once a simple bar on a roof is now a lovely place to hang out with a view of the acropolis. If you want fancy, look elsewhere. If you’re good with basic, this is the place. I’ll be honest… this trip we decided to try a different hotel, similar price range (the other was a bit pricier), in the same neighborhood and we were extremely disappointed. It will only be the Attalos from now on!

We could not have picked a better hotel for our 2 night stay pre-cruise. The value for money is excellent. A budget hotel but with so many extras. Lovely appointed room, complimentary water in fridge on arrival. Nice toiletries in bathroom. Comfortable big bed and spacious room with large balcony and stunning view of Acropolis. Friendly staff. Excellent roof top bar. Great location walking distance to everything. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Cannot fault it.

Had a fantastic stay for 4 nights at Attalos Hotel. The room had everything we needed for a short stay, and whilst a little old fashioned, we didn't have any complaints. Before arriving, I asked to change to a room with a balcony which was accommodated with no problems. When we arrived, we found that we had a room on the 5th floor with a balcony and view of the Acropolis - amazing! The rooftop bar was another great part of the hotel, with amazing views of the Acropolis and reasonably priced drinks - €7.50 cocktails seemed to be a very good price for a cocktail in Athens! The staff were all very friendly and the hotel was located in an ideal location for exploring the city - we even managed to walk everywhere and didn't need to use the metro apart from going to/from the airport. I highly recommend this hotel for a central stay in Athens.
