Attic Backpackers

I stayed here multiple times. The price is a little higher than a few other hostels in Auckland but not much and it's worth it. There is good security, great staff, it's very clean and the kitchen facilities are awesome. The only way to improve the rooms would be to upgrade to bunk bed pods or bunk beds with curtains that each have an outlet and light. If you hang out in any common area including kitchen and dining area, you will make friends, but it's also possible to keep to yourself. Depends on what you want. I would stay here again.

I've stayed at the Attic for just over a month and loved it so much that I'm coming back in a week! There are lots of communal areas and everyone is so so friendly, I couldn't have asked for a better start to my solo travels. The staff are wonderful and have become good friends, and the location is perfect for days and nights out

All in all, fine for one night. It was clean and the staff were very friendly. Few cons that I think could be improved: room felt a bit like a prison and the fan outside was quite loud. The whole place feels very cold to be honest, with bright white lights and minimal colours. It’s got a central location but could be made to feel more welcoming.

Though I stayed only one night in this place, but it was a pleasant and comfortable stay at attic. For solo or friends group tour, this place is awesome to stay in terms of location, service and cost. Definitely I will visit again when I will be in Auckland in future.

Had an awesome stay at The Attic! The facilities are super comfy – spacious, tidy and well set up for travellers. The kitchen, lounge and rooftop area make it easy to relax or meet others, and everything felt really clean and well maintained throughout my stay. What stood out the most was the staff – genuinely friendly, helpful and always up for a chat. They made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. There’s a real sense of order and calm here, which makes a big difference when you’ve been on the road for a while. Massive thanks to the whole team – I’m truly grateful. Would definitely stay again. Chur!

Attic was a fine hostel-- staff was very friendly and welcoming. Amenities are minimal and beds leave something to be desired. For the price you can find nicer hostels but it gets the job done. Stellar location though.

Good location downtown, very easy to find, good service, clean facilities and a very clean and minimalistic single bed room with a heater. Just enough for a quick visit to auckland. It's nice to see quick recommendations about what to do in Auckland sticked around the toilets. My stay was very quiet and fast. Thank you

I really enjoyed my stay here and this is the best hostel I've ever stayed at by far. Very polite and friendly staff and almost all of the guests have always been very friendly a pleasure to talk to. Definitely be back for the 4th time the last weekend in August it was meant to be October but plans changed so it'll be the last weekend in August instead. Nice bathroom aswell the best bathroom I've ever been in I've never ever been in another bathroom with a view before. You staff memebers do a great job,keep it up and I look forward to seeing in you all again in 3 and a half weeks. Kind regards,Travis!
