We had a great time staying at Attic, but it's a difficult place to evaluate. On the one hand, it's in a really neat area (with two cafes, a lot of art, and just nice public spaces in general), has a beautiful view, is fairly comfortable in terms of space to hang out and rooms, and the staff is super friendly/helpful. On the other hand, it is quite a walk to the MRT, the bathrooms are not great, and you only get a minimal breakfast, so I can't say it's a strong choice of place to stay for visiting the city, especially when its price is comparable to better located hotels.
So - I recommend the place, but not as your only place to stay when visiting Taipei.
