"Since opening its doors in 1866, the Venice -based jewelers, Atillio Codognato, have been turning out exceptional, rings, bracelets, and earrings known the world over. Their shop is located just off San Marco and has been a favorite haunt of the likes of Coco Chanel, Elizabeth Taylor, and Nicole Kidman. Even if you can't afford one of their pieces, it's nice to pop into the shop anyway just to view their collections, mostly inspired by the 15th-century Venetian artist, Carpaccio, and the 18th-century painter, Pietro Longhi. The fourth-generation owner, Attilio Codognato, is a jovial and curious Venetian. His shop is small and cozy, and when you're invited in, you find that he is as well versed in contemporary art—his private collection includes works by Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, and Roy Lichtenstein—as he is in artisan jewelry. If you're interested in Venetian artisans, or jewelry in general, A. Codognato is an excellent introduction to the Venetian influence on jewelry."
Dear Sir, Madam,
I have been very suprised to be firmly refused two times today to your boutique, with the same polite reformulation.
I am a passionate watches & jewellery professional and a potential client that wanted to discover your boutique and Maison.
I have tried to come to your boutique today at 10 50 o clock, I have been told that your boutique would open at 11, I convinced my friends over a coffee to wait for the opening (even to be late for the Biennale), I have arrived again at 11 15 o clock and I have been refused to enter, because of an already present client.
Secondly, I have tried to enter at 17 h 30, a person smiled at us and told another of her colleague to speak to me. Again I have been told that there was a client to come back in 20 minutes.
In retail when you are a team of two, in general you let two clients, or tou can make them avait in a seating area, that is in your boutique entrance.
Without asking me any information to get my contact or to understand my schedule, it is very rude and impolite and exclusive to refuse a person two tried to come two times.
I really hope that your team will be more inclusive and polite toward new potential clients in the next future. It is important to give a message that your salesforce doesnt select the clients on the entrance, based on their clothing and appearance.
Best Regards
