Wow, simply stunning, ok the swimming can be dangerous but if you're sensible then it's no problem. Paying for all the small add-ons is just strange for example we were close by at Qinara and wanted to see the view, drove down on our scooter and we couldn't even get off the road to get into the car park as we didn't have the 5000 Rupiah (£0.28), then laughably you have to pay to leave the car park to get access to the beach 45000 Rupiah each.

🏖️ Breathtaking Views at Atuh Beach – A Hidden Paradise! 🌊 Atuh Beach is an absolute gem! The scenery is stunning, the crystal clear water, the towering cliffs surrounding the beach, and the perfect white sand make it feel like paradise. It’s one of those places you’ll want to stay all day, soaking in the views and the peaceful vibe. However, the stairs down to the beach are no joke! It’s a bit of a steep descent, so be prepared for a good workout on the way down and back up. Definitely not for those with knee issues or anyone looking for an easy beach access. If you plan on using the sunbeds, just keep in mind that you’ll need to order a drink from the nearby cafes. The beach vibe is relaxed, and the drinks are refreshing after all the stair climbing! The waves can be pretty huge, so it’s best to be an experienced swimmer if you plan on taking a dip. It’s absolutely gorgeous, but the surf can be strong. Still, the views and the tranquil atmosphere more than make up for it. All in all, Atuh Beach is definitely worth the visit for its incredible scenery and peaceful escape. Just be ready for a bit of a workout to get there!

A secluded crescent shaped beach right next to the famous Diamond Beach in Nusa Penida. It is beautiful no doubt but the only issue is accessibility. The winding steps to reach the beach from the top of the cliff is ridiculously difficult to climb up or down. People with poor heart, bad knees or small children will find it very difficult as well as risky on the stairs. Moreover dead corals cover the entire swim able area. There are few shacks which will charge exorbitant rates for hiring sun beds and for buying drinks. Bargain hard or carry your own water or drinks. The struggle to get all the way down and then come back up kills the joy of the holiday. On top of that you have a 1000 degree sun blazing throughout the day.

🌊🏝 Atuh Beach – Nature’s Hidden Treasure on Nusa Penida! 🏝🌊 What a breathtaking place! 😍 The views over Atuh Beach are simply unreal – dramatic cliffs, turquoise waters, and that iconic rock arch in the sea that looks like something out of a fantasy movie 🌈🌿. Getting here takes a bit of effort, especially if you’re coming by scooter 🛵 – the road can be a bit bumpy and steep, so make sure you drive carefully and wear proper shoes if walking 🚶‍♀️. But once you make it, it’s soooo worth it! 🫶✨ There are multiple viewpoints that offer different angles of the beach and surrounding rock formations, and each one seems even more stunning than the last 📸. The contrast of lush greenery against the deep blue ocean is just magical 💚💙. You can also walk down to the beach itself, but be ready for a bit of a hike 🥵 – the stairs are steep and uneven, but the reward is a peaceful, quiet stretch of paradise 🏖️. Perfect for taking a break from the crowds and just soaking in the raw beauty of Nusa Penida. Highly recommend visiting in the early morning to catch the soft light and avoid the tourist rush ☀️. Bring water, sunscreen, and of course – your camera! 📷💦 ⭐ 5/5 – A must-see if you’re exploring Nusa Penida! 🏝💎

Atuh Beach is hands down one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. The white sand and crystal-clear turquoise water are just stunning, and the towering cliffs and unique rock formations make it a photographer's dream. We loved the peaceful and secluded feel, which was a nice contrast to busier spots. Getting there involves a long descent and subsequent climb up a seemingly endless, steep staircase, which was quite strenuous, especially in the heat. If you are not prepared for a significant workout, it might be best to enjoy the views from the top. The entrance fee was very reasonable, making it a worthwhile experience despite the effort required to get to the beach level. The water is also great for swimming and snorkeling if you make it down.

Beautiful and nice beach with wonderful view! So nice quiet and serene. Difficult and steep staircase doing down and up but worth it!

Atuh beach is the most beautiful beach I’ve ever visited. I visited this place on August 4th 2025. Going down the cliff, I could enjoy the beautiful and marvelous scenery. However, going up the cliff was quite tough and exhausting, some steps were quite high so I had to crawl. While crawling, I hit my head on the cliff. It’s alright. The sandy beach is soft and white. Really beautiful, serene, and unforgettable.

The seaside scenery really is remarkable here. Dramatic limestone cliffs plunge into turquoise waters and waves foam below. It costs 45,000 rupiah to enter but it’s worth it. The staircase down to Atuh Beach is not for the elderly or infirm. It’s the climb back up that will get to you.
