Taking one star off since the service tried to charge us 2 euro for some bread, even though it was supposed to be complimentary. Later, he changed his mind and didn’t charge us, but it still made us uneasy. As for the food, the calf head and tongue was super tender and creamy. It paired nicely with the potatoes and capers. The liver had a great meaty taste and the fish was mixed with some flour to create a “fish sausage”, which is not what we were expecting.

Excellent all the way. Great location, attentive service and fantastic food. Starters, main courses and the desert were all a memorable culinary experience.

The bouchon lyonnais offers a great value, the price for the quality of the food is very good. This is a must if you are on a budget and want to experience great French food. The duck leg was excellent and cooked with potatoes also cooked in duck fat. The soups were great. The staff is friendly but I could not put five star because they are definitely short staffed and it makes the experience a little bit annoying. If you have time and want good food, this is a must in Blois.

Really nice place, aromas de la France. We eat really well for a nice price and the waitress and waiter were really kind. Is like being at their home. Super!

Super lovely place, welcoming and friendly people. The food is delicious. Typical French food for a good price (menus around EUR 25 - 32)

Amazing deal on their prix fixe menu. Starter, main, dessert starting at 26 euro and cheap local wine. Feels super homey inside and very friendly wait staff. Must get their goat cheese salad, ragout of snails and mushrooms, and floating island dessert.

The food was quite alright but unfortunately it was still a disappointing experience! We felt very rushed by the waiter! - Not 1 minute of time between starter and main course. - 1 second after our main course we were asked to order dessert. We asked for a short break, but 2 minutes after we were again asked to order our dessert. - Right after we finish the dessert we get the bill (we didn't ask for it yet) and were asked to pay straight away. I politely asked the waiter if and why there was a rush and he replied irritated that he wasn't rushed. - directly after we paid (while still finishing our drinks) they started putting the outside tables inside very loudly. . . we got the hint and left. We had three courses and were in and out of the restaurant in about 1 hour. . . So I would only recommend if you are in a rush, not when looking for a nice evening out

Terrible service! My family and I are travelling around Europe, first time that in one restaurant they pushed us to order a menu for our child, always we ordered a plate to share our meal with our 4yo kid, and no problem at all. However here the owner told us, you must to order something extra for him, It was late and we stayed but in other circumstances I would have left. I would totally not recommend this restaurant, very rude. There are many other good restaurants in Blois where they respect having kids, particularly when you are travelling abroad.

Yelp
Traditional French bistro food at this cozy spot near the middle of the Blois square. 4.5 stars Food: 4, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 4 Cost to worth it rating 4: 3 course menu ~30 Euro Return worthiness: yes Highlights: - Steak frites: my husband's favorite French dish and this first steak of our France trip ended up being the best. Quality piece of meat, well cooked, and perfectly seasoned. 5 stars - Bread: extra delicious french bread slices. 5 stars - Homey atmosphere: cute wooden tables with plaid table clothes - Escargot: plenty set in garlic butter in the standard fun dish with the little indentations. 4 stars - Duck confit: tasty leg though thin potatoes were greasy. 4 stars - Charcuterie pork plate: substantial for a starter with heaps of cured meats and 2 pates. 4 stars - Cheese plate: 3 large pieces of soft cheese. 3.5 stars - Half bottles: significant selection to order from giving us plenty of options. All were good as well. - Staff: were kind to us to let us in close to closing unlike others in the area - Substantial menu with many options to chose from including 2 prices for a set menu Lowlights: - More restaurants we went to weren't like this ;-) Great all-around homestyle French meal.
