A delicious meal, super fresh salad and amazing ratatouille. Lovely breezy outdoor courtyard and relaxed atmosphere. We had the most wonderful evening

Wonderful meal, the melon and prosciutto was probably the best I've ever had as the prosciutto was perfect. The service was friendly, and our waiter happily assisted me with the menu items where my poor french failed me. Bonus points for their wine system. No need to order a half bottle, you pay for what you drink. Drink a quarter, half, three quarters, or the full bottle? Just pay for that amount. Genius!

The food was extraordinary. I retrieved the tastes of what my great grand-mother was cooking for us decades ago (escargots provençal). I warmly recommend this place. The waitress was really nice and we had a really good conversation. Thank you again for this experience.

Great service, simple yet delicious options on the menu. The gardianne de taureau was the best I've tried so far in the area.

If you like bland food, this place is for you. Server was sweet, atmosphere was great, food was extremely mediocre. Their house red and white wine by the glass were sweet, so if you like wines on the sweeter side, you’d enjoy it. Our appetizers came out after we were part way through dinner. We ended up not finishing our entree and appetizer, paid the bill and went to Le Tambourin for a redo of dinner. We wanted to love this place because we loved the atmosphere but unfortunately that did not happen.

We found this small restaurant slightly away from the main square on a quiet street and dined outside. The menu was quite small but had some nice-sounding local dishes, which were overall tasty, but slightly small on the portions. The house wine was good, and service generally ok, but forgot to bring a second glass of wine, but it still made it to the bill - corrected without fuss when we pointed it out. Overall pretty good, and would go there again: not the best meal we have had in Arles, but a lot better than the worst!

Very rude and arrogant owner/tender. She made us seat without a ‘bonjour’ or a smile, took orders of people arrived after us, passed by without even looking, after ten minutes we tried to order but she refused to serve us because my wife wanted an entree only and she was compelled to order a plate as well, even if she didn’t want to. So we decided to go when she added to go to take our food from a bakery. Insulting nasty lady, she should change her job, this is not the way to treat customers

A nice range of dishes to explore. Very good wines as well. Classic rock albums and books as decor in the upper room

Yelp
This was my wife's favorite restaurant in Arles. It is located on a quiet back street. We ate outside - no mosquitoes. The food was really great. The house white - quite good.

Yelp
We ate here on a recommendation. Excellent food. The best duck I have had. Seared to perfection and excellent wine. We did the tomato salad entrée de jour and finished with a strawberry cake. It was all delicious.

Yelp
So on our last night in Arles, we headed for this part of town hoping to eat at a restaurant we'd lunched at on a previous visit a few years ago. They were full, but happily Au Brin de Thym next door were able to squeeze us in. We lucked out. No matter how well remembered our lunch at their neighbour was, Au Brin de Thym was even better. A couple of days before we ate at Jean-Luc Rabanel's two-Michelin star Atelie in Arles, but the starter of crab, avocado and chili-spiced tomato I had here at Au Brin de Thym was as good as some of M Rabanel's dishes. My main of shoulder of lamb provencal was some of the best cooked lamb I've had, with an almost Indian tinge to some of the accompanying vegetables. My wife's creamy-sweet turbot also had an Indian feel and was a revelation to us both. I can't quite award five stars because the service was patchy and our order of a demi-litre mysteriously upgraded itself to a full bottle (not that we were /too/ upset!). The food though, more than made up for these minor infelicities.

Yelp
We stopped for lunch and had the plat de jour, mine was the mushroom quiche with pumpkin soup and Lisa had a cod disk with asparagus sauce and potato. Wonderful favors and service.

Yelp
Wow, THANKS to travel writer Rick Steves for recommending Au Brin de Thym! This cozy restaurant popular with locals is tucked away on a small side street. Our weather in early September was ideal for evening dinners at their outdoor tables. The street doesn't have much vehicle traffic so outdoor dining is both quiet and so European... meaning it's perfect for people watching! The menu is somewhat small but contains a variety of excellently prepared dishes. We were very impressed with the seafood and locally raised meats. Even more impressive was the value! Meals and carafes of wine were fairly priced. Service is friendly, personable and professional. We had so much fun the first night that we returned two nights later. Au Brin de Thym is our favorite restaurant in Arles!

Yelp
Tardy review, but was here July 2012 and had one of the finest meals I've ever had. You pretty much have a two hour window 6-8, then they start turning people away. Have the boozy soaked cake balls in a jar for dessert. To die for.
