Let’s start with the restaurant. Dinner was spectacular. We arrived late and I’m pretty sure the kitchen stayed open later for us. Either way, we were blown away by the food. The room was great, very comfortable. But the management have been amazing. Our car blew a tyre on the way here and is currently at a garage many miles away. The team here have been so helpful helping to get us going!! Thank you!! Highly recommended!!

Beautiful location with lovely management. Rooms are simple but more than sufficient for a good night’s rest. Dinner on the terrace is a must with good weather!

Beautiful Château in a very quaint village with stunning walks nearby. We ate twice for breakfast and twice in the restaurant and what a gastronomique experience we had ! The breakfast - we had so much choice of fresh and artisan products all delicious and the evening meals we had were exceptional ! So much love has been put into the food and everything was cooked to perfection and there was some fantastic surprises on the menu unfortunately we couldn't eat every dish but we will be back to do just that ! Thank you for you passion we appreciated it greatly ! The room was lovely and high class bedding. For everything room, breakfast and dinner it all was very reasonably priced - compared to a lot of other places i would call it a bargain for the price/quality Merci !!

Very impressed by food experiences with a quite reasonable price. The village is very quiet and beautiful. Lots of trails nearby to be explored. Dog friendly. I would definitely come back here to spend more time.

This beautiful and unique castle accommodation offers an ideal location close to Cirque Lescun. The rooms are excellent, and the breakfast is amazing. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

We arrived there after a long drive from Taragona, excited to stay at a chateau in the Pyrenees, the highlight of our holiday. When we got to the hotel it was deserted although the door was open. We spent some time trying to locate the owner, to no avail. Eventually I rang and was told that they were in Pau 60 k away and they wouldn't be back for 2hours. We were told to find the keys and our room. Despite the fantastic location, the interior of the chateau was a disappointment, unsympathetically modernised. Our "upgraded"room turned out to be off the breakfast room and kitchen. The bed and linen were of good quality and the place was spotless but the room was poky. We were sitting outside when the owners arrived but they ignored us while they chatted to the other guests and unloaded their shopping.when we tried to book a table for dinner we were told that they were shut that night. It took three attempts to get the owner to book us a table 7kilometres away. I highly recommend la Permayou, who made us feel welcome and served fantastic food, unlike the owners of the Chateau. Not once we're we offered a drink or told when breakfast would be. After a very long day we got to our bed at 11.30 but that is when the kitchen and breakfast room started to be prepared for morning! Not great! Unsurprisingly we went back to Permayou for our breakfast.

Great place, fantastic views. Comfy bed, quiet after the local farmer got the cattle in 🐄. Lovely to hear the owl. Great shower with plenty of hot water and loads of pressure. Good breakfast. Owners were very nice and accommodating. Will be returning.

The setting for this chateau us breathtaking, looking into different valleys with high snowy peaks in every direction. The village is tiny with no shops and only one other restaurant. The chateau was renovated and made into a hotel in 2005, and has 6 rooms, which are nice. Bathrooms have a shower but no bath, but the view us fantastic. |It's a hard one to review as it's very quiet with only one other couple staying. We dined in. The restaurant is sad, cheaply done out and chilly, but the set menu with no choice was a bit pricey at €20pp but really good home cooking. We've enjoyed the welcome.
