Au Clos du Lac

Au Clos du Lac is so much more than just a place to stay on your travels. It has the warmth, comforts and safety of home where all considerations of fine detail are so beautifully  put together by the wonderful  host, Anaïs. We are so pleased that we booked our stay at this exceptional Bed & Breakfast. Our room was gorgeous and comfortable. The breakfast was sensational every day and far exceeded anything we have experienced  on our travels! Just  so delicious,  nutritious,  fresh and a great start to our day!  Ohhhhh, and the homemade rhubarb jam is delectable. The bikes available for use are a wonderful touch that we enjoyed using daily to explore the area. We can't  thank you enough Anaïs for your welcome,  your care, and all your hard work. All appreciated so much. I hope we can return here again someday. Sad to be leaving.

The B&B has been set-up really nice with one room on the ground floor and four rooms on the 1ste floor. Every room is uniquely styled but all of them are very spacious and modern design. With more then 40 sq meter you can definitly call it a suite.||All the rooms have a view on the beautiful garden, in which you can have a nice and quite rest. ||Before arrival we booked a picknick basket which contains local products and we could have a nice picknick in the garden. ||Extra perks are a inside swimming pool, electrical car charging and bike rental (electric mountain bikes! to go through the champagne area) all free of charge.||The breakfast is of great, you can order what you like the day before. When it is sunny outside you can have it on the terras. ||Anaïs is lovely host and we had good communication before we arrived about arrival time. You get an e-mail with all the access codes for the gates and your room. So if you arrive later, you can easily access the property by yourselves.||If you are looking for a nice place to stay and explore the champagne area I can definitly recommend Au Clos du Lac. We only stayed for two days, but we loved to have a couple of days more. ||Room tip: |We stayed in the brut nature room which has a nice natural theme. It is the one second from the right (with the brut prestige next to it in the corner).

We stayed in this beautiful hotel for one night. It has a very serene and calming atmosphere and the gardens are very pretty. Our room was very comfortable and stylish. We particularly liked the seletti monkey light!||We used the spa it was ok, it had an electric sauna…||Breakfast was really good. With high quality ingredients. We were asked to choose what we would like the night before.||Because we stayed on a Sunday night the local restaurant was closed. This hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, but the hotel website offers a small selection of meals that can be delivered to your room. The website in regard to this is misleading. We thought we had ordered a picnic - but it turned out we had ordered a charcuterie board which wasn’t great. So, if you do find yourself there on a Sunday and not feeling like venturing out then be sure to specify what you want. As we were disappointed with the food after a long day in the car. Champagne was very good though.

We stayed here for three nights for our Champagne experience in France. Rooms were amazing and charming. Breakfast was fantastic with amazing selections, overlooking the grounds that were quiet and beautiful. We would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you so much to the hotel staff that made this experience even more unforgettable and the recommendations for dinners and experiences in Reims!

Warm Welcoming , beautiful inner garden, old farm recently renovated with style, very comfortable rooms, spacious and well equipped. Quiet, ideal for pampering yourself and relaxing . Ideal for discovering the Champagne area.

Absolutely lovely stay! The rooms were so nice and relaxing, the staff is very kind, and the food was perfect! The pool is super fun with various features for lap swimming and bubbles, which was quite entertaining for our kid. Also there is electric charging included in your stay if needed. Everything was perfect and easy from check in to check out. We will definitely return and highly recommend this beautiful stay!

Brilliant! This area is handy for your final blast up to the Chunnel. We've stayed many places in the region, but this is head & shoulders above the rest.||||Rooms were stunning, and as there is not much in Gueux we had the hamper on offer in the room. The people were lovely and we properly enjoyed ourselves.||||The village itself is really pretty and the golf course has a chateau as the club house (and of course you are close to the old Reims race circuit).||||Parking was plentiful & easy, gardens nice to kick back & have a beer.||||We can't wait to go back!

A group of friends rented all 5 units. Luxury units with views overlooking the Clos, a walled gated backyard. Breakfasts on the patio were wonderful with a varied menu which included eggs. Has a wonderful spa. The town of Gueux is quiet and good for leisurely walks. It is surrounded by grain fields. We drove into Reims everyday for Champagne tours.
