Au Fil du Temps

Visited here in January and the experience was great. This summer, whilst the food was lovely, the service lacked some finesse and attention to detail. We were left feeling that the summer experience was over priced.

I visited this restaurant with friends for a birthday celebration for the first time , I chose the menu du jour- freshly cooked, nice flavours and presentation ,the service was a little slow at times but this did not spoil our experience, we had a table inside it has a nice ambiance, I loved the white table cloths and tradional French stone interior, I will definitely be visiting again.

Great staff who guided their guests to choose appropriate menu items. We were warned our beef for two main dish was huge and an entree was not appropriate. Thus we were able to relish dessert!

Just had very good wine at this establishment as we were waiting for our clothing to dry at the adjacent Laundromat. We are here for the week and what we saw other diners eating looked very good. We will be back.

We were very disappointed overall with this restaurant and would not return. There was 4 of us 2 meals arrived first chicken legs very small portions, 10 mins later the other 2 meals arrived fish dishes but had to be returned as not cooked in the middle. We all agreed our dishes did not have much flavour. We have been all the restaurants in Brantome and I would never return to this one due to food and very over priced. Plus point staff very polite, ambiance lovely and car park close.

Disappointing Arrived for dinner on Monday evening. Wouldn’t let us sit indoors despite it being empty. I assume they want to make the terrace look busy for passing customers Food was underwhelming and over priced. Stale bread. The frozen chocolate dessert was clearly mass produced and shop bought. Duck confit ok, but nothing special Would recommend eating elsewhere

Starter (carpaccio) Was very good, Main course (chicken/lamb) was not satisfying, einher not hot. Wine by glass expensive. No recommdation.

Incredible! Each course was exquisite, beautiful flavours elegantly presented and the service was great too.
