Au Moulin à Vent

The food is sooo nice, rich, authentic, well done. We had the snails, the pleurote, the saumon gravelax, the Oeuf mayo ( which won the best Oeuf mayo of the world. And God It was so good. As a main, 3 of Us shared the aged black beef rib. just perfect, it came on a plate that was slightly warm so the steak remained at the right temperature throughout instead of being cold when you eat the last pieces. the sauces were divine, pepper and fourme d'ambert ( separately ) It was my first eating at the Moulin à Vent, I wanted to come for a while and in the end it was amazing. We came to celebrate the License of one of my tour guides, working at Paris and Beyond tours. Thank you so much for your heart warming restaurant. we felt so good with my friends there !

Unfortunately I cannot share the good reviews of this place. I had the os a la moelle, which was good, but the 15 hours veal breast confit, which I had seen praised in the reviews, was dry and the gratin dauphinois was cold. On top of that it came with a hair from the cook (I have a buzz cut and I saw the cook in the kitchen and could clearly match it to him). The morel sauce was good tho. The service was friendly but unattentive (taking almost 10 minutes to bring a menu, taking again a lot of time to take the order, forgetting to bring bread despite announcing to do so and meanwhile clearing tables/taking new orders from other tables). All in all I guess I was unlucky but at the same time this restaurant has such raving reviews that I expected a bit more, especially considering the prices. While this is not a fine dining restaurant, the prices are definitely a bit higher than in comparable establishments. After mentioning my issues with the main dish to the waiter my starter was comped, which was a nice gesture but given the hair in the main dish and it's disappointing quality, I think that comping the main dish would have been more appropriate. I did not mention anything about that tho.

This bistro was voted the city's best a few years ago. If you want to experience an authentic Parisian dinner, this is the place to go. The venue is tiny and the tables are cramped, but being so close to other diners is part of the charm, it feels like stepping back into the "belle époque." While the food consists of expertly prepared classics, the service is typically Parisian, so don't expect anyone to go the extra mile. It was a good experience!

The food was amazing, all what we had was spectacular. The steak was unbelievable and the sauces they served were really tasty. However, I can't help to feel packed in a very small room. Our table was literally touching the adjacent one, and so we're the rest. I know that a Bistró is supposed to have close tables but this... Was a whole different level. The tables had wheels, so that you could pull them if the person seating in the back wanted to go to the bathroom. That's too much, therefore, I'm forced to take one star off. Never seen anything like this, also not in Paris Regarding price: it's a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for

This is a restaurant I won't forget.. I went two weeks ago and I'm still thinking about all the high definition flavors of the snails, which tasted like more than just the sauce they're cooked in, the scalloped potatoes, the wonderful pork we had. My beautiful and snappy sausage, the bone marrow was another highlight that both melted like butter yet had a crispy crackling exterior crunch that defied reality. Every dish was a hit, though. And I'd love the opportunity to go back again and perhaps sit indoors with a reservation this time.

We had a wonderful time! - The “Os à moelle” was perfectly cooked and generous. - The “Gratin dauphinois” was absolutely sublime. - Both the “Ile flottante” and “Profiteroles” were outstanding. Special mention to the waiters who did an excellent job and made the experience even better!

Great restaurant with delicious classic French dishes: snails, beef chateubriand, etc.

A very enjoyable spot with a cosy and effortlessly fancy French atmosphere. The wine list is extensive. We really liked the starters, and the steak tartare was great. The gratin dauphinois was a bit dry for our taste, but overall the food left a strong impression. There are so many French classics on the menu that we didn’t get to this time, which is honestly a good excuse to come back and try more.
