Absolutely adorable family owned cafe! We stopped in for a drink to past the time while it rained and it was as if we were taking back in time. The charm fills the space and the atmosphere oozes with warmth. Sit at the bar or grab a table outside, either way you won’t be disappointed in this very authentic experience. We can’t speak to the food as we only had a few drinks, but the dishes looked fresh and delicious. We could have stayed for hours. Highly recommend if you want to try something different than the big cafes. This is 100% a local gem. Enjoy!

Google
What an absolute gem of a bar / cafe. It's a little slice of heaven squeezed in the middle of a bustling capital. The staff are adorable; quirky; gentle and so full of character. For the reviewer who questioned the integrity of prices - all prices are listed in the window. We didn't eat but I'd pay above and beyond to sit in a bar with no social media; no screens and be treated to a real old-school experience of Paris life. I wish it was my local! Merci beaucoup

Google
A charming traditional French cafe that’s the perfect spot for a little coffee and croissant. Cash only. Lovely to sit and people watch as locals come by for morning coffee. Thank you Hubert for letting me enjoy the atmosphere!

Google
Very authentic French place! The owner only speaks French but is really friendly! The food was okay but don’t expect too much. Definitely go here for the atmosphere! When you go, take into account that you can only pay cash, they do not take card.

Yelp
Spectacular. Cash only. Owner seems super nice. Food was solid, basic but good. A little pricy, but in a very pricy neighborhood and one of the cheapest options we found. A lovely quiet spot. Not a ton of street noise.

Yelp
Completely stumbled on this place by mistake while looking for a place to eat lunch. We almost left because of a misunderstanding (language barrier), but luckily got some assistance from a local and were seated. We were served lentils with ham, which, sound plain. But these were the best lentils I've ever eaten in my entire life. I have no idea what they did to them but I ate nearly 4 portions. Extremely affordable and beyond delicious. If I spoke fluent French, I would call them to ask for the recipe of their lentils - I still crave them months later. Sure, the place is small and "hold in the wall"-like, but I see that as a positive.

Yelp
Such a sweet, no frills place to grab a drink and socialize with the locals. The owner & family were just lovely. We loved practicing our French and enjoyed conversing with all who wanted to practice their English over great wine. We will return!

Yelp
Didn't love it. Visited due to the reviews and it was close to our hotel but I thought it was average. Maybe we hit it on an off night, but the menu was incredible limited (out of almost everything) and the only special was pork tenderloin and beans. The plate was not well seasoned and the portions were small. Pretty disappointing.

Yelp
So friendly and so old Paris. An old couple ( 80' s ) cooking from scratch typical French fares. For $14 each, we had a sausage and super fluffy mashed potatoes dish as well as a roasted pork tenderloin with mashed potatoes also, both simple and delicious! For $3 we also had 1 glass of good rose wine. Their kids ( in their 50's ) were helpful and pleasant.

Yelp
Absolutely the best experience next to the Louvre. Came here 7 years ago, and I will come back on the very trip. This isn't gourmet food, this is good cooked with love by the same people for many years. Just the experience is worth it. Welcome to Paris!!

Yelp
Special of the day which was the lamb and the smoked filet of herring. This place is so tasty! It's a small hole in a wall but the food is really good and the owner is really nice! He's the server, cook, and bartender but don't let the look fool you. The food is tasty and really cheap! It's smaller portions just a heads up but for a bottle of wine, appetizers, and meal for both of us for like $35 euros. Yum!

Yelp
Simple low key restaurant oriented around the bar. Dishes are inexpensive - around 10 euros. Had the daily special, a roast beef with French fries. Food was ok good but not specia. A deal given the area with a friendly owner, but probably won't be back given all the options nearby

Yelp
Hidden gem. Had the cheese omelet and smoked herring. Wife had the steak frites. Excellent food and service

Yelp
It doesn't get any more basic than this little bar. Many would consider it a "hole in the wall". We popped in for a beer, ended up having a wonderful lunch, coffee and après drinks. It was so good we decided to do it again the following day and it was even more enjoyable. Mama does the baking and the dessert de jour was a strawberry tarte that was to die for. Pastry that is divine. The service is very welcoming and so friendly that you feel like you have known them forever. We can't wait to return.

Yelp
Eating by the Louvre/Tuileries is tricky unless you want to spend a lot. And for lunch after L'Orangerie today, we didn't want to spend a fortune. Yelp to the rescue. We never would've found this hidden gem which is a time machine back to an earlier era in Paris. Family-run by a couple of generations, it offered delicious, home-cooked French food at spectacularly reasonable prices for that area. They were so warm and welcoming. Our waiter (the son?) was thrilled to work with me in practicing my French, speaking a little more slowly so I could understand him. We each had ham and cheese omelettes, a lovely petit glass of rose, the fantastic homemade tarte aux fraises and coffee (and a grande Badoit) for €40. Aside from being delicious, we loved the attentive service and the ambiance of seeing the regulars stop in. This is a must do if you need lunch in that area.

Yelp
Stopped here after our room wasn't quite ready at our hotel. This is a cool little place that as some others in here said looks like a "hole in the wall". What made it seem like a good idea is that there were lots of locals sitting inside and some older couples who might come every day. No one speaks any English so between the guy sitting next to us who understood and my wife speaking a bit of French we successfully ordered. Food was really good and the prices were great for this tourist trap area. Definitely stop in instead of the places right outside the Louvre.

Yelp
Wonderful little tiny Paris eatery, obviously family owned and operated. Two or three generations working together, according to their various capacities. Grandpa keeps the bread coming! Locals clearly love it. Simple, delicious food, and amazing cheeses after our meal! So welcoming!
