Been here three times in the one week since we arrived in Paris! Other reviews are accurate about the Onion Soup being fantastic! Our waiter the first two visits was super helpful, friendly and funny. Our third visit, we got the girl some others have mentioned (not so friendly, funny or helpful) but we still enjoyed ourselves! The Tartare De Boeuf is good, not great - however, we are from Texas, USA where it’s hard to compare beef to anyplace else. The Brioche Perdue (think French Toast and Cheesecake having a baby) makes up for it all!! Speaking of cheese, the Camembert Roti baked cheese starter is YUM!

While staying in Les Halles neighborhood, we ate here on many occasions. Their charcuterie boards are great for snacking if you don’t want a big, full dinner. We usually eat those while sipping on drinks and it’s always a great time. The burrata is also very good.

Google
That was HORRIBLE experience. Waiter was extremely rude, rolled her eyes every time we asked for something. At the end they calculated wrong and over priced our bill. And the dishes were not tasty at all.

We were greeted while reading the sidewalk menu and invited in. We ordered a few traditional french entrees and salmon & pepper tag beef - both exceptional in presentation and flavor. We shared a Creme Brulee and it did not disappoint. Good value for miney. Very friendly wait staff. Attentive to table clearing and ensuring a positive dining experience. No faults here! We will be back next visit and highly recommend!

Google
Excellent authentic Parisian food! The duck was amazing and the tartar de boeuf as well. One of the best duck breast I’ve ever had. The fries are on the spot as well, very good seasoning. The service was excellent, very nice atmosphere, and very good wine selection & prices.

Came here with friends for a quick bite and we weren't disappointed. Very French order with snails and roasted camembert with white wine and panaché. All was up to best French bistrot standards and service was particularly helpful and nice. Recommended also for a touch of an historic location!

Google
We have been here several times... as a couple, as a family, with friends and as a big party of 8. The value is great. The menu is diverse and yet still authentic. The service is fun, and yet still very Paris. Yes it is in a busy tourist area, but our view is you cannot go wrong here. We have had duck, steak, tar tar, seafood platters, and salads at different times - and all have been great. We'll be back again and again.

Google
Great for drinking wine and people watching on a Sunday. Also serves one of the best quiches I've ever had. My husband had a huge cheeseburger with fries. Only complain is that the tables are too close to each other on the patio, even for Paris.

Yelp
We came here by chance and really enjoyed the experience. My husband's lobster risotto with grilled shrimp was excellent and I loved my baked goat cheese salad. Both dishes had been expertly cooked with fresh ingredients. The server was friendly and spoke good English. Would be happy to return!

Yelp
Fairly bad service, mediocre (at best) food and astronomical prices. Typical tourist trap.

Yelp
Amazing food with great people watching views. Get the scallop risotto and the cheese

Yelp
Listen. The food was amazing But this was the absolute worst service I have ever had, including American restaurants such as Burger King and McDonalds. The waitress barely listened to us when we ordered and she got it wrong. It took 20 minutes to get the correct salad. She flew by us dropping off our wine and almost spilled it. We saw her roll her eyes at several customers. One in particular who had obviously received the wrong order-she was very blasé about it and basically acted like she didn't give a shit. For a 50 euro lunch this was very frustrating.

Yelp
The reviews were mixed but we were at the fame Stohler pasty shop and asked for recommendation and the sales lady there said here and the meat is good. Hubby used to live down the street and he remembered this to be a good stable joint for both locals and tourists alike. It is your stable traditional French bistro food and it has a nice outdoor seating so great view. We ordered a salad, onion soup, a steak/frites and steak w/ stroganoff sauce and all were very good. A nice stop when In the area.

Yelp
A great spot to enjoy a late night drink or meal. Sip your wine and watch the world walk by from the patio, as you enjoy everything from a simple meat and cheese plate, to some more advanced seafood. Leslie is one of the servers who speaks perfect English and will make sure you order the right glass of wine to complement your meal; or, if you need it, she'll show you how to approach that mysterious plate of escargots with the provided tong. Don't be afraid to ask and ye shall receive!

Yelp
Waitress was wonderful. Manager kept walking back and forth by tables smoking and ruining atmosphere. Food was ok at best. We were served a margarita that was sour.

Yelp
Great people watching, free internet, and 2,40€ for a noisette. Easy decision.

Yelp
Disappointing. Oysters and onion soup were fine but main courses (entrecôte, moules frites) sub par. The steak was advertised as rib eye, but wasn't : lots of gristle, unevenly cooked. Another of our group ordered the special (Bavette with mashed potatoes), described by the server as a New York steak, and found it tough. Frites were not hot out of the kettle and were most likely reheated from an earlier batch. Wine list ok though not extensive. Bill including wine and service came to 42 euros each.

Yelp

Yelp
Food was ok, but the waiter asked for a tip which was a bit off-putting. Many better options nearby

Yelp
We wandered around the area trying to find a decent place to have dinner once we realized Frenchie wasn't going to open (it was a French holiday), and that most of the other restaurants on my "wish list" wasn't going to open either. We walked around for about a mile, passing the same restaurants over and over again until my husband revolted and told me to just "pick something". We stopped here because the people eating outside didn't look as miserable as at the other restaurants in the area. Unfortunately - we did not order well. My husband's "dry martini" was uncommonly sweet. We should've ordered a salad - the Parisians near us had salads and they looked really good. However, we didn't come to Paris to just eat a salad! But our entrees weren't good. I had the duck - which was tough as a boot and was insanely gamey. I have a varied palette but I couldn't eat it. My husband ordered the tartare, which was completely unseasoned. We left mostly untouched entrees. It wasn't the worst meal we had in Paris, but it wasn't very good. The service was busy yet they were very helpful to us.

Yelp
Try the Beef And You. You'll thank me later! Small cute cafe, can be crowded at times but the food is top notch..

Yelp
Good drinks, half decent service but we had a long wait and over cooked shrimp. Meh

Yelp
We just came for some oysters and bubbly, we ordered a large mixed seafood plate and was missing some of the items listed in the menu, when we asked the server the manager came and said they were out of those items and we had gotten extra oysters instead, but the kitchen didn't inform the server of this and of course we didn't know either, so they brought some additional langoustines. I was a little offended that they thought we would not noticed some items were missing. However food was good and our server was very nice and apologetic about the whole situation, and we had and incident with the kids burger falling on the floor (our fault) and they replaced it at no cost.

Yelp
Horrid food; awful service from an obese manager with an attitude problem. This is based on 3 experiences as I'm a local. This pretty, historical façade is to be admired from a distance. What a pity.

Yelp
Completely average for Paris. Bordeaux was good, food was good. On a good corner with lively action.

Yelp
A typical tourist trap. Food was horrible, served almost cold, the duck I had was totally burnt. The personnel rather incompetent and unfriendly (they didn't know how to use their machine for foreign creditcards and got really rude instead of being sorry and trying to solve the problem with their machine). A real disappointment.

Yelp
This place is fine if you don't mind roaches. My family came in for breakfast and after our food was served, several cockroaches started scurrying from the adjacent wall mirror over our table. It was disgusting and we were still charged full price for our uneaten meal.

Yelp
I had a very tasty warm herbed goat cheese salad here for lunch. It was served on big slices of toast, and came with roasted potatoes, tomatoes, roasted garlic cloves, and a pretty (delightfully) oily vinaigrette. On the side was some zesty zingy sauce with fresh parsley that offered some lightness to the serious dressing. I would recommend when you want a lunch that's not too light but not a full-on heavy lunch. On quite a busy street not far from Les Halles.

Yelp
Got the dorade royale. Fish was cooked perfectly, and came with a saffron marscapone sauce that was to die for. The side of green beans was also cooked perfectly. And definitely order the nutella milkshake. This a solid French brasserie.

Yelp
a nice terrasse on a typical parisian street, full of busy people going / coming back from work, fashionistas, tourists, etc. you can have there some good wine, enjoy nie dishes or share a cheese and charcuterie plate (highly recommend that)

Yelp
Steak and Frites...yea buddy! Great food, located in a lively area of Paris in the 9th Arrondisement. Sit outside and enjoy the great city!

Yelp
Worst meal I've had in Paris. Omelette was cold and undercooked, salad accompanying it was wilted and doused in a too-tart dressing that was clearly from a bottle. Orange juice did taste fresh. Overall, was really disappointed that I wasted one of my precious vacation meals here when there is so much amazing food to be had in Paris.

Robert A.

Yelp
They have a great place here. I went for breakfast and the cappuccino was superb. I will be back for the brunch before I leave Paris.

Yelp
I am going to write in English as I am so angry! I brought my Dad for dinner- I have lived in the Sentier area for the past year and I wanted to show him some of the great restaurants around here. My boyfriend and I have eaten here regularly and I am really just embarrassed about our meal tonight. Our starters took 45mins-1 hr (the table beside us sat down, ordered, had their starters and were on to their mains before I spoke to the manager). The manager told us it was normal for a roasted camembert to take that long (!!) but the waitress said the kitchen had forgotten. When I told the waiter we were hungry, unimpressed and annoyed that the manager had lied (in French) and wouldn't pay for our starters, the manager returned and told us that he didn't care that we were local, we lived here or spoke French, he would have other customers and it didn't matter, we had to pay. I have no problems saying that this was a rude, disgusting attitude and I will be following it up. Possibly the worst meal I have had in France in the 14 months I have lived here (and the entrecôte was chewy and full of gristle, and my boyfriend had hairs in his tuna tartare!)
