Auberge Burgundy

Auberge Burgundy is a charming hotel with a relaxed, Provençal-style feel and a really good vibe. It’s not pretentious at all—just a place that does everything right. The room was large, clean, and comfortable, and the central location makes getting around easy. There’s a pleasant little pool, and breakfast at the nearby Frances coffee shop is excellent. While there isn’t much horeca within walking distance, the beautiful surroundings more than make up for it.

From arrival to getting our room it was fantastic. Hospitality excellence. Like being in a south of France villa. The extra thoughtful touches in our room was wonderful. Freshly ground coffee sealed in a bag and ready to be used with the caffè tier. The pool area perfect. Bedrooms spacious comfortable and wonderfully decorated. Loved everything. Breakfast delicious choices. We opted for a relaxing massage before heading on our road trip. The courtyard to the bedrooms are heavenly. Location perfect !! We will definitely be back for longer next time.

The Hotel is the right place to stay at Hermanus. Situated at the Old Harbor (but quite and surrounded by a nice garden) you can start doing the Cliff Path. Our room with a balcony was very nice and comfortable. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the cafeteria that belongs to the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will come back next time.

Auberge Burgundy is a lovely, unpretentious hotel that simply does what it should—and does it well. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day out. Its central location is ideal for exploring Hermanus, and the small pool is a nice bonus. Breakfast is a real highlight, served at the nearby Frances coffee shop—absolutely excellent. While there isn’t much highend dining nightlife within walking distance, the surrounding area is beautiful and well worth exploring.

Super friendly and very helpful team, a small but lovely massage salon, and a charming pool right in the middle of the courtyard. We stayed in room 16, which had an optimal layout with plenty of space, even if the shower was a little small. Breakfast is served at Frances, the small bistro next door, where they really make anything possible that your heart desires. A very pleasant stay at Auberge Burgundy.

A charming oasis at the heart of the seafront. Stayed in Penthouse 1, a large and comfy space with view of the sea from the balcony, bed, sitting room and even a glimpse from the shower!. Reception staff couldn’t be more helpful making taxi pickups and tour bookings. The breakfast was fantastic.

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, very clean, well decorated and modern (rooms and all common areas). The pool and pool area is really comfortable and the adjoining restaurant (which is where one has breakfast) is fantastic (strongly recommend opting for breakfast included in booking). We were really happy our stay.

Had a wonderful two night stay at Auberge Burgundy. Was previously unfamiliar with the history of the hotel but was so intrigued after our lovely receptionist Mikaela explained it had been the mayors house! Mikaela welcomed us warmly and was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. She gave us lots of recommendations and even booked a whale cruise for us which we enjoyed immensely. The hotel is situated right on the seafront and within short walking distance to the town. The room was so spacious and the decor was so charming. The lovely night attendant provided us with hot water bottles also which we so appreciated. Breakfast in France’s cafe next door was fantastic! We really enjoyed the lounge area and complimentary port by the fire. Thanks again to Mikaela and all staff for such a memorable stay. Hope to revisit in the future!
